Came here to get a Brazilian after a couple of years' break. I knew it would be painful and a…read morelittle awkward. I'm used to being given a minute or two to undress and get on the table, but my waxer just turned around and said "go ahead -- get undressed." I was a little nervous but was pleasantly surprised by how fast it felt; I'm used to these waxes taking around 20-25 but was up in 15. She told me that she had left "a few" hairs behind but that because it had been so long, that was inevitable, and to keep coming back to make it better each time. I tipped well and left shocked at how painful it was but happy it went quickly. When I got home and looked for myself I realized she'd left hair pretty much everywhere, not just a few little ones like I expected. Even the butt strip (sorry) had leftover hair, and that's a famously easy part to wax. I get a few hairs, but this was patches all over each area in a way that I've never experienced with any other wax, not even my first. I think that the skin was not pulled taut and that a bunch of hair broke as a result. The worst part was the leftover wax that was left all over. It stuck to my undergarments and body. Because so much hair was left behind I had to use a bunch of baby oil to get all the wax out of it. I cancelled my next appointment and will be going somewhere else.

I purchased a Brazilian Blowout for the first time ever. I was skeptical to say the least. After…read morewatching Youtube videos, I was worried that I would have zero volume and just pin straight hair. Amber walked me through the process and then asked me what I wanted. She informed me that the blowout is customizable and took my needs into consideration. The entire thing took almost 2 hours. She is very easy to get along with and talk to. We had great conversation and I felt very comfortable. I was very impressed with the results. When I got home, my husband saw me and told me that from now on, we would fit the blowout into our budget because it looks that good! But the best part for me is how my hair looks, behaves and feels after I shampooed. I have shampooed 2x since. The first time, I let my hair dry about 25% then blow dried on warm heat. My hair looked very glossy and was straight again. That night, I had hot flashes (hormonal condition) and instead of waking up to a mop of frizz and curls, I had a few waves in the back that went away with 1 swipe of my flat iron on the lowest heat setting! The second time I shampooed, I let my hair air dry. In the morning, I used the flat iron on a very low setting to get only 3 small sections that got wavy in my sleep. My hair looked AMAZING! Again, glossy and so soft. I LOVE how shiny it is and that I'm not adding any oil to make it look like this!! One issue I have every single month is that before my period, my hair and skin behave very differently. My foundation reacts differently to my skin. My hair behaves very differently and in a bad way. It never fails. The week before I start, I have more frizz and my hair won't stay styled. It's like it fights the flat iron. Well, it didn't happen this time! When you get a Brazilian Blowout, you will not have a bad hair day! Now I can actually grow my hair long because I don't need to use hot tools as often or high heat to get it to look this good. Even my fly-aways are smoothed down instead of sticking up all over!!! That part alone makes this worth every penny! Before I bought the shampoo, I did my research. I saw that some women bought sulfate free products or even the same shampoo Amber has but through Amazon and their blowout was ruined because of it. If you get the products from a salon, they guarantee the product. You won't have to worry about whether it's been swapped with a cheap shampoo or if the ingredients have expired. The bottle Amber has is HUGE so it will last a very long time. If you want to preserve your blowout, I highly suggest you pick up the shampoo from a salon. If you put time and money into your hair, don't let all your efforts go to waste!
