My very first time waxing experience!!!! My girlfriends and I were talking about waxing, and having a Brazilian done has been on my bucket list. I reseached a couple places online, after visiting multiple websites and reading reviews, European Wax Center looks to be the perfect choice. Figured I'd come by the Camarillo location and ask a few questions to get a feel of the place. As soon as I walked in the door Autumn and Tracy, we're so welcoming and informative, they made me feel comfortable, they answered all my questions, explained the waxing process and prep. Before I left I scheduled lower legs for the next day. I was given a sample to use as prep and exfoliation, it smelt so good! The next day I came back to get my lower legs done for the very first time and after my session with Lez I scheduled my Brazilian. She made me feel completely comfortable, I think my biggest fear was being judged because I'm a bigger girl. Lez really put me at ease, she was professional, kind, easy to talk to and by the end I knew I'd come back! Today I came back and got my Brazilian done and my underarms! Recently came for my first eyebrow wax in this company. I booked online and they offered a first FREE wax. I was waxed by Nik and she was truly amazing. She first consulted with me in what was best to do with my brows since i had them mismatched and confirmed if what she recommended was Okay with me. After she did upsell me with this brow serum but ofcourse i bought it to see if it REALLY worke we should know in 4 weeks lol. Aside from that this location is a few blocks north fr the freeway. First time visiting this place yesterday. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. The appointment before me ran over about 15 minutes but I had time so I didn't mind. I believe my technician was Tiff who was also very friendly. Been getting my eyebrows waxed for 20+ years, and this was probably the least painful experience I've ever had. I have sensitive skin that gets bumpy afterwards, and I still had that, but it was an overall pleasant experience. Your first visit is complimentary, or at least it was for my eyebrows. They want you to sign up for a package so you are getting your services more often. Didn't make sense for me with how little I would be coming but they weren't pushy at all. First ever waxing experience and it will most definitely be my last. If I could go back in time and stop myself from ever coming here I would. To start, I got there early for my Brazilian appointment at 7:30 and I wasn't actually seen until 8:20(it was absolutely freezing inside and I didn't have a jacket) so that was already a bad start. When I was finally brought into the room, it was dirty with the hair from previous appointments still there. I think the worst part of it was, Kathleen was not very helpful throughout the process, she didn't even tell me when she was about to pull the strip, and not only did she not give a warning she also didn't pull it in one go, but instead pulled it inch by inch. She also commented that I have Thick middle eastern hair, which by the way I am not middle eastern. All around terrible and I will not be returning. read more

As any typical male, I had my worries about going to a waxing place. The staff at the Camarillo location immediately put my mind at ease. They are all friendly and very helpful. My specialist, Jenni, was fantastic! She was patient and explained every step of the process. Getting my back and upper arms done was very easy. When I got to my ears and nose , I was a bit embarrassed, but it was never an issue and I was very much at ease. The staff gives you suggestions for after care, but are never pushy. The wax was surprisingly not as painful as I'm used too and My waxer walked me through each step as she was doing it. Went in for my first Brazilian and it was honestly an awful experience. Albeit, most of the awfulness was the pain but i do have some complaints about the overall experience as well. My technician was Kathleen, and while I feel she meant well..the room she waxed me in was gross. There was leftover hair from her previous client on the bed...she didn't brief me on what to expect even though I told her it was my first time. She didn't pull the strips in one go, it was like 1,2,3,4 pulls to get the damn thing off it was fucking terrible. I was told by my esthetician friends that it should be always pulled in one go. I felt extremely vulnerable and anxious and while she did sort of talk me through it was just super awkward and I left embarrassed. She also said I had "thick middle eastern hair" and I'm a brown south Asian woman....so....all in all will not be coming back. read more

No phone call or text message through the company and the employee proceeded in the rescheduling before I even responded. In other words without my consent. I have been waxing (Full Brazilian) for a few years now on and off. But don't shave in between. I have never had a problem before til now. I have gone almost 8 months without a wax because of the pandemic. This time I went 2 months, well my waxed messed up a lot and tried to blame it on me going a while without waxing. First problem was that she went over the same spot 3 times, and left a hitler mustache on the top of my vagina and I when I asked what was going on she said she couldn't get it out. So I explained how my other waxers have done it and guess what? It worked. Well the rest of it was okay. Once I got home and took a look, she missed a few spots, it looked like it wasn't even touched with wax. Like how?? I will be sticking to a different location. Overall I love this place I used to go to the Westlake location and this place had been way more friendly and does a better quality job by far. Sam up front is always sweet and very attentive!
