Had a bad experience with Belen today. I'm a regular male customer for eye brows. I got the feeling she has either no experience with guys or prefers not to service them. Simple request, "keep them squared, just a little thinner, and not archy." She insisted that I should see one of my regular techs, which were not available. 10+ years and never had a tech make it seem confused about what I wanted. Suggest more training with male customers. I won't be back to this location as I felt uncomfortable with the handling of my appt. I will miss Sara Jackie and Lupe, which never made me feel like I was asking for something impossible. read more

My first time getting a brazilian wax in 2+ years where she didnt tweeze me afterwards. Her mini description said "she gives great brazilian/bikini wax" & "nothing short of exceptional". Wow Lay gave me such a comfortable experience! Which was perfect because I was traumatized after last time but this wax was overdue and it wasn't even painful before I knew it was over and she has such good tableside manner I felt so comfortable and very little pain post wax. I'm only giving a 3 for the willingness to fix a wax, and the waxer was professional. My experience isn't going to be the same as everyone else's. I also know how hard it is to be plus size, and find a comfortable place for a Brazilian. I was made to feel comfortable there, and that's a great thing. They offer free touch ups within 5 days. I understand everyone responds differently to waxing. It took me almost 4 days for my skin to calm down enough for the touch up. I had a family emergency and I'm not able to make my appointment today(the 5th day) and I have to pay full price to have the touch up fixed. That's not fair, I have large patches the waxer missed. I'm not happy the service I received, and I will not use this location again. read more

My experience with European Wax Center Lake Houston has been great! I went with Tori for my appt. since I've read good reviews about her. She was welcoming and she made sure i was comfortable. There is a complimentary 5 day free touch up that they offer. This is for hairs that are not quite synched with the rest of your hair growth so it couldn't be waxed. This is a great option, though I feel like a little tweezing work before I left could of done the job. Still a great experience though! read more

I've been through 3 wax tech at this location. The first tech, put blazing hot wax during my underarm session and it hurt in the moment and I thought nothing of it until getting home and seeing red spots on my skin. The second tech, was so careful and caring! She did such a good job EVERY TIME. She never left any stray hairs and always made sure my skin was okay. Then she left the company :( Third tech, is very detailed with the wax and makes sure my skin is okay. I've had two visits with this tech so far and I'm satisfied but really wish I could have my old tech back. Nevertheless, I'm glad I gave this location as second chance, specially considering how much they charge for services. read more

I went here for my first Brazilian wax and the experience was great. I loved the lady I went to. But she was only there for about 3 visits. The first time I got someone new it was to be waxed before a photo shoot and I got burned on both of my arms. This last time I went for just another Brazilian. The lady was nice, but her technique was horrible. When I got home my husband realized I had patches everywhere. Of just hair completely missed. I've cancelled my membership and I'm going to try and find someone who isn't in a chain because I can't do the inconsistencies. I do have to say the staff there are absolutely lovely, but I need the service provided to match. read more

I had an appointment with Morgan at 8:30PM for a Brazilian Wax (the fact they're open this late is amazing). I hadn't kept up with my waxing because I got pregnant and lazy so my hair was thick and ROUGH, I also wasn't completely hydrated so I was expecting a lot of hairs to be broken off. They used the hard wax that doesn't require the strips which was great. I only have two complaints: 1) She did HUGE strips. I can handle the pain of getting wax but I was seriously contemplating just leaving it as is because holy crap it was INTENSE. 2) the next day I noticed I had a couple of patches that hadn't been pulled up at all but could have possibly been noticed at the initial appointment. I called to set an appointment for a touch up which was extremely easy and there were no issues. I went back to Morgan the next day and she took care of the patches. I got home and noticed that there were still quite a few hairs remaining on the butt strip. I take full responsibility for not checking these things before leaving the salon. I'm not angry or anything more disappointed I guess. Outside of those two issues Morgan made me feel comfortable, she was very sweet, and relatable. read more

LaTonja was my technician today for a Brazilian wax visit. Apparently I was the last one of the day. She was in a hurry and left the middle intimate area without waxing. She pulled the wax while still soft several times and those pulls left my skin hurt and tender I definitely not left a tip for her. They need to understand a client, even if is the last one of the day matters and more importantly in a delicate area like the intimate. Please prepare better your technicians. My particular review is for the wax experience and waxer, Brenda: *Customer service was mediocre, as if she did not want to be there. *Waxing process - she advertised the before and after products that she'll be using, BUT did not use the products at all. *Waxing was quick, and she did not take the time to ensure that all hairs were removed. *She left remnants of the black wax on me and did not bother to clean them up (I ended up attempting to wipe the hardwax off of me in the bathroom). If you're looking for a "spa-like" experience, this is not the place; the room was extremenly lit. From past experience, the waxer normally steps out so you can undress and lay on the bed, not this place. This is an "in-and-out" type of establishment. Front desk was courteous and friendly. I'm sure there maybe other staff that may provide better service, but not this particular staff (you've been warned). Probably won't be returning to this place. read more

Man on man what an experience. I normally visit a place off of Kirby (shall remain nameless) where the clients are literally herding people in like cattle. Things I loved about this place: Elizabeth - my waxer was very knowledgeable about the process and the services she was performing. She told me about the steps and the types of wax I was about to have on my skin which is very important as my skin is SUPER SENSITIVE. She was funny and kept my mind off of the pain..oh and by the way there was NO PAIN as they use hard wax vs. strips. The temperature: I get so sick of going to waxing places and it's just as hot inside as it is outside. IT was so cool inside the room that I hardly had any sweat. No sweat = less powder. Location: It's about time the Northside stepped their game up. I totally recommend this place and ask for Elizabeth! I'm not sure why everyone likes these chain places. I guess I was expecting a relaxing, spa-like feel and it was nothing like that. I heard about the free wax for new customers and the place is right by my house so I decided to try it for an eyebrow and full bikini wax. First of all, they had some horribly loud obnoxious music playing (pop/techno crap). I'm not that old, but certainly don't want to hear that when I'm going to get waxed, it felt like I was at a club. When I called to make the appt, they made this huge deal about being on time, so I'm thinking great, they stick to the schedule and I wont have to wait. I showed up early and still waited 10 min after my scheduled appt. So as I'm sitting there waiting, I notice all the girls working there are very young, yelling back and forth from the front to the back, and all wearing different clothes (my waxer had on a sports jersey?!?!) not very professional at all. I go back in the room and it was freezing cold! The flourescent bright lights were horrible, like a doctor's office, and the girl tells me to get undressed as she's still in the room. So there's absolutely no modesty, which is not a huge deal, I mean I'm getting a bikini wax so she's gonna see everything anyway, except that it was so cold and they don't have anything to cover your legs with. Even at the gyno, they leave the room to have you undress then cover you in a disposable sheet/blanket type thing. So she did a good job, however it did feel very rushed and the wax was SO much more painful than what I've had before. Then of course they try to sell you all their products and right away want to book the next appt. I'd much rather pay a little more to get the spa treatment somewhere that is comfortable and where they take their time with you. I'm disappointed because the prices and specials were good deals, but it's not worth it to me for the experience. I can see how people who are in a hurry like to go there to pop in for a quick eyebrow wax, but it makes me think they have never been to a spa where they actually pamper you. This location is prompt, clean and professional! I have been going here for a year as of this month, and if you are contemplating trying, here's your sign. The receptionists in the front are nice, and always get me in and out quick which I love. If I need to reschedule they make it a breeze without the guilt. I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Summer at the Atascocita location for Brazilian Waxes, I will not use anyone else. First and foremost, she will make you feel comfortable which is a huge part of going somewhere new, but is also clean, knowledgeable and will make you feel like a brand new woman! I was terrified my first time and now this is a monthly ritual I couldn't imagine not doing, and I cannot praise my waxer enough. Also if it is something you plan to do monthly, I would definitely recommend investing in a wax pass. To be a nationwide chain, the training is clearly not efficient. I went today 2/10/21 and the wax was just ugh! Rule of thumb for waxing is to let the wax cool, not tug and tug creating multiple broken pieces instead of one even strip. Also it is mind blowing that the inner thigh is not included in the full brazilian wax. Make it make sense! Probably will not go back, tired of being disappointed. I went to this place because of the price and the location! In the end, I was not disappointed! I read a fairly recent review on this page (4-5 months ago) that Tiffany and Brenda were very good at their job so I booked an appointment with Tiffany. She was very thorough and redid all of the areas to make sure there wasn't any hair that she had missed. She didn't make my experience uncomfortable at all and it wasn't painful! So I will definitely go back to her and recommend her to everyone! I am the kind of person who likes a quick appointment so this was perfect for me. The other reviews said that the workers were pushy about the products and they weren't really pushy with me but I did buy one because it was a good deal. I also totally forgot about that if it's your first time being at EWC, you get a free wax! And I know that they have good deals too so it's a win-win! read more

I went to this location prior to moving out of the area, and I think the ones in Austin are a lot better in terms of service and employees. The specialist who did my eyebrows here spent more time complaining about how dry my skin was and made me try out their exfoliator on my hand. She berated all my answers to her as to if I shaved my legs or what I did to my bikini area. I'm not comfortable telling a stranger who I've paid to do my eyebrows what my beauty routine is. She waxed my upper lip too hard and there was some burn marks on my face for a few weeks. Finally, she was appalled when trying to get me to book a follow up appointment and I told her I wouldn't because I was moving. No thanks, EWC. I'm not going back here anytime soon. Ive been to another spa to wax and even tho it had been a while since my last brazilian wax I would have to say, I would never return to this location EVER!! Not only do they stand there while you undress but they do not have a gentle hand at least the girl I had did not. She was almost in a rush and was not Even considerate of the amount of pain that she was causing. A good was person will immediately apply pressure after pulling strips Off to alleviate pain she DID NOT!! and when it seems she was it was for like not even half a second and she will rip another off as well. Very nice spot, loved the interior design and the people are super nice. My waxer wasn't super duper, but she did a good job. I have an appt to go back, which is nice to schedule your future appts.
