I've waited a couple of weeks to leave this review as I wanted to see if the hair style and color would "grow on me" and it did not. First off I'm not exactly sure of her name but the blonde woman who seemed to be acting as a manger at the time of my appointment was amazing. She is the reason for the 3 star review and not 1 star. Now for the actual hair, my stylist Edward, I showed him a picture of the color I was looking to get to (as one who used box dye I know it would have been a process) and told him I wanted a "balayage". As you can see it is beyond disappointing not only the color but the layers seem inconsistent at best, choppy at worst. I will admit that I was using the wrong word to describe the color but I am not a stylist if I was using the wrong word as to the what I'm showing you in the picture please correct me! Don't tell me afterward "well that actually looks more red to me". I am not a professional and am by no means great at this type of stuff but when it comes to it, a girl gets her hair done to leave feeling confident not to go home and the best compliment she receives is "subtle". read more

Other technicians with other types facials have been so-so, but I have been wanting to try the Hydra Facial. Went in August, but the wand on the machine broke. Finally went back and AM SO GLAD I DID!! Monica did amazing things and I went in feeling like a troll but left feeling radiant!!! And there was NO redness! Will definitely go back in 3 months. I just had to share my first experience at the lifetime spa. My husband is a member, and has said nothing but great things about the entire club and how nice it is. He recently bought me a lifetime spa gift card, and today was my first visit to the club to use it for a facial. Booking the facial over the phone was pleasant, and my appt was set with Ginger. I arrived with high hopes of relaxing for an hour long facial ( I'm 7 months pregnant and could use it), however I was sadly disappointed. From the moment I filled out my paper work, I felt Ginger left me sitting there longer than needed. The paper took maybe a few minutes. Then when entering the facial room, she did not seem 'set up' yet, and was plugging in equipment. I was left to undress for what seemed extra long again, and started to feel like my facial time was being cut in to. Ginger was very rough throughout the entire facial. She did not seem experienced or gentle whatsoever. Her hands were shaky and extremely quick, making me feel like she was rushing through the whole thing; basically slapping on and rubbing off each product from my face and neck. I was waiting patiently for the massage , which generally takes place during a mask, while its setting. To my surprise, while the mask was setting, I did not get a massage. I got to lay there for almost 5-10 mins listening to Ginger shuffle papers, pens, products etc, and her stool roll loudly all over the place. About 5 mins before the facial ended, she yanked my shoulders up and down, very firmly pressed her fingers into my neck and jawbones, then said 'ok were done'. No arm, hand, neck or even shoulder massage. This was all while she had on noisy latex gloves that did not glide well on my skin or even my face. I was terribly disappointed and upset. This had to have been the worst facial I've ever experienced. I've been to several spas all over Houston and even in different countries, and know what a facial should entail. To make matters more uncomfortable, when I leave to check out, the receptionist did not ask how my service went. I was anxious to explain how awful the whole thing had been, but wasn't given the opportunity. I had no intention to leave gratuity, however Ginger stood at the counter the whole time watching the transaction , and therefore I felt obligated to do so at that point. A very unprofessional move on her part. This was the first time I visited this spa, and did not expect this type of service.I don't think clients should leave their service feeling disappointed and unsatisfied. While dressing to leave, I even looked at Ginger's credentials to see if she was new to the field ( the cosmetology certificate, and massage therapist cert), however her certificate said 2003. I couldn't believe she's been working on people this way for years. I guess they figure suburban clientele don't have high expectations, since there's pretty much every type of service/store you need within a mile of your home. No excuse to provide subpar service. I'm glad I don't live in the area or have a limited choice in spas...this was a one time trial for me, and I'll continue going to Sensia on San Felipe for excellent service! read more

I went for a haircut and Jennifer did a fabulous job. She took her time with my hair and left it looking like a million bucks. Thank you Jennifer I'll be back! It was about $55 I believe. She is a Sr. hair stylist so def worth every penny. She also gave me good tips. read more

I just joined Lifetime and decided to try to the spa for a facial. I had my customized facial with Emily. She was so fantastic! She is so sweet and made nice conversation. The previous review is totally accurate. Ginger was terrible. I have had a massage by amanda and it was amazing. She talks through everything with you and really helped me after my wreck. Do not get the amanda massage girl mixed up with amanda the nail tech. The nail amanda was extremely rude. I get my color and cut down by katelyn and I love her. She is very sweet an just a bubbly girl. She will go above and beyond to make you happy and even though she is young she knows exactly what she is doing. Also for you fellow moms you can use the child center there for free! My overall experience was okay but it's everyone there that makes it amazing. Very friendly. read more
