I bought a gift card on 8/10/23 and they charged me only to find out that they permanently closed on 8/12/23. They do not answer !!!

Just a follow up from my previous post. The salon was closed on Monday but they called me back since I was on their caller ID the next day! The nail tech told me to come in and and instead of repairing the two nails - she redid the manicure color on both hands. I was very happy the salon rectified the situation and was proactive in ensuring to calling me back and getting me fit in. Their customer service was excellent regarding the situation. read more

My hubby bought me a package worth $150 at this Spa for our Anniversary. The establishment was clean, beautifully decorated, the staff were all truly wonderful, pleasant and went above and beyond to make sure my experience was heavenly. I arrive, met 2 individuals at the front desk who checked me in. I then get taken back to a locker room area were there are a set of white robes & sandals waiting for me, I change and secure my belongings. I'm led to a waiting area were I get complimentary tea or water. As I wait to get my manicure. 10 minutes later I go get my manicure which was pleasant. Then I'm taken to a room for my 50 min facial. It was amazing. She explained the process, made recommendation asked me if I had concerns. She then dimmed the lights & started to do her thing! Next, I met Joanne who did my deep tissue massage. It was the best DT Massage I have ever received. She truly was firm & got to work on my problem areas. I appreciated her uses of EO's, and even fell in love with a particular one called the "Chill Pill". It smelled like I needed it in my life, so I ordered it as soon as I got home on Amazon. Then, I ended my wonderful experience by receiving their signature pedicure. Which was the amazing. Whole process was about 3hrs, never felt rushed. Best of all aside from the quick short convos very little communication which is a thing for me. I love to focus on my me time as much as I can especially since I'm a mother of a 6 & 5 yr old I get do little of it lol I do recommend this place, I highly recommend Joanne and I will be coming back! read more

I called to schedule an appointment to use my gift card, which she took the number from the card and set my appointment. I was just about to go back for the massage and I happened to ask how much my gift card was for and about the purchased package which I had thought it was for $150 for massage, pedi, mani and the receptionist said it was expired and turned it over to a guy behind the counter. He told me it was expired. No where on the card or paperwork that comes with it is written about expiration dates. He said well he would have to contact the owner about special circumstances and it would take a week, so I said ok, I will wait for the call and resume my appointment at that time. By some miracle without "owner say" he says the best he can do is honor 50% but from $105 not $150. I said it was fair under the circumstances and got my massage done. The Swedish massage was mediocre, though the technician was nice, she definitely did not massage my entire body and I felt like she was checking a phone during my treatment. The room was chilly and the ceiling fan light made for a harsh lighted environment. I go back to counter and ask for the mani, pedi and I got the impression he only intended for me to get the massage done. So I paid half of the $105 and asked to schedule the mani/pedi the following week. I went back and Tammy seems very nice in the beginning but after a brief meeting with the guy at the counter, her attitude changed. My nails were painted very sloppily and when I asked about the clean up of the color on my skin around the nail, she told me it will come off in the shower. But she did try and clean it up a little bit ended up taking color off the nail and didn't fix it. However, I was already showered for the day and would be going out to dinner soon after so the shower trick would not work for me. My friends were definitely shocked to see the shotty work which started chipping the next morning. Still have the color on my skin down at my toes. After removing color from my fingernails on day 2, I also noticed my nails which were to be filed straight with slight rounded corners were actually filed on a weird angle. High on one side and lower on the other. They had a real opportunity to get big tips because I was using a gift card and to earn my future reoccurring business but it was my one and only visit, indeed. Who allows gift cards to expire? I really do hate that I cannot call this location my new favorite. read more

I had four gift cards and they said that all but one had expired. NO WHERE on the card goes it say there is an expiration date. How does a gift card expire? I used a Taco Bell gift card from 6 years ago recently and they never batted an eye. This was $120 that Silken would not honor. The receptionist was very rude in handling the situation. I suggest you don't buy gift cards from them. I cancelled my appointment and went to another business not far from them who were much kinder and offered better services for a lower price. Passed by this spa a few times, very nice from the outside, and decided to stop in. The receptionist was very friendly, and the wait for my service was not very long at all. I even made my appointment the same day as my service...a wax by the way. Virginia, the ethestician was very gentle =) Nice spa, and fairly priced. Received a facial here about over a week ago and it was the probably the best facial I've had in a long time. They will definitely be seeing me again when I think I'm due for another one. All I can say is MARINA! She has been doing my facials (acne, microdermabrasion, etc.)for years. I live over almost 2 hours away and she is WORTH it! Extremely knowledgeable and professional. After having to cancel my vacation due to some family health issues, I really needed a stress release. I made an appointment for a hot stone massage & facial, it could not have been better! I had not been to this spa since 2005 & was shocked when the lady told me what treatments I had before. Wow, I am impressed! The therapists were wonderful & I was treated like royalty. This is a mixed review. I'll start out with the positives. I came to this spa with a reservation with a group of girls. The spa accommodated us fairly well and we all got the services we requested at a good price. We all left satisfied with our experience as a group. However, there was a lack of communication between the front desk and the staff at the back. At times, they were looking for one person in our group, not realizing that person was getting another service in the meantime. At the end, 5 ladies were done and 1 still had a whole other service to complete, despite her having 30-40 minutes of break in between. I do feel their planning of a large group of people needs to be streamlined. Two of the ladies in our group had been to this spa 2 years ago and they said that communication issue wasn't present then. However, we did notice that issue yesterday so that is something I would recommend the spa to resolve for future group reservations. My personal experience was overall good. The staff was friendly and courteous and the spa was clean with a nice open ambiance. I had a body polish/scrub which left me feeling amazing. Not all spas can offer this service due to the equipment needed. My massage on the other hand left me IN PAIN. A day later, I am still in pain. This is the main reason for my 3 stars. Out of the multiple massages (20+) I have received throughout my life and in different locations around the world, i have never experienced such pain and soreness. I have to wear a heat pack around my shoulders because she almost bruised me (stating I had "terrible knots"), even when I told her to go softer and less pressure. And then she told me, "oh you must be a delicate body" and still proceeded to aggravate one knot over and over. I know I must try to relax but when she she was using a "softer touch", I was still whimpering because it was NOT a pleasant experience. Another thing I did not like was her scalp massage because of the fact she would rub my scalp, then rub my face and temples (with the same fingers) then rub my scalp again and then rub my face and cheeks again. I do not want scalp residue on my face. I did not ask nor want a deep tissue massage because I know my body cannot handle that sort of pressure. This is not the massage therapist for me-her touch is much too heavy handed. I wish I never had that massage-it made things worse rather than better. Body treatments were nice as well and I can feel the difference in my body after the seaweed wrap. My skin looks and feels amazing after the facial. Silken Body is the best nail salon in the area! I've been going to them for 15+ years, followed them from 2 other locations. It's very clean & the service is excellent. My mom & I love getting pedicures there, but make sure to make an appointment, especially on the weekends, they get busy & fill up fast. Marci (the owner), Tammy, & Kim are all super nice! I hated when I was in college out of town & had to go to other salons, I've never found one w/ people as friendly, who always seem genuinely happy to see us. You might pay a little more for a pedicure here, but it's worth it to know the place is clean, everything is sterilized, & the service will be great. If you're not happy for some reason, they will fix it for you. They also do a good job w/ solar nails & manicures. This is one of the few businesses around that I have come back to over & over for years. I love them & usually bring them little gifts or cookies during the holidays, can't say that about too many other places I go. read more

What are people thinking. This is not a spa. The conservatory in kingwood is a spa. This is a "upgraded nail salon".

If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!! I set up a surprise special day for my wife's birthday and scheduled her an appointment and they were AMAZING!!!!! They were EXTREMELY attentive to my wife's needs and went ABOVE AND BEYOND to accommodate them. And not only was my wife BLOWN AWAY by the amazing things they did here, (incredible massages, phenomenal facials, magnificent manicures and pedicures, the things I scheduled her for), but how AWESOME all of the people were!! She like legitimately bonded with these people! It wasn't just a typical appointment, quick in and out, maybe some small talk so it's not awkward, no. She borderline BONDED with these people! They are AMAZING!!!! PLUS, they have ALL KINDS of incredible services, and based on the quality of work they did with what I scheduled for, I CAN ONLY IMAGINE how wonderful they are as well!! Seriously cannot say enough good things about this place. Not to mention they are veteran owned. Semper Fi. I will be using them for now on, and telling any and everybody to do the same every time I have the opportunity. If your reading this to see if this is where you want to go now, THIS IS THE PLACE. I took a group of 10 ladies for a spa day for my daughter's birthday. My daughter didn't like the gel manicure and asked that her fees be discounted to exclude the cost of the manicure that didn't work out. They were so rude, they told her that she wanted something for nothing, that she could leave and never come back! We will not go back! What ever happened to Customer Service, and the Customer's always right? If the owners will do this to paying customers, be careful! The service providers were great! These must be rigged reviews. I am shocked by the positive reviews. Silken nails is one of the worst nail salons I have been too. I took my mother and they made her bleed. It is not that clean.
