Was very unhappy with my interaction today. I have been going to this location since 2018. I was looking at the eyebrow line, which didn't have my match. Had a voicemail left for me after my visit asking me to pay for my pencil! Which I didn't get. Returned the call to clarify their mistake and they were rude and I felt dismissed. I felt discriminated against. They manager over talked and didn't acknowledge what I was stating. Going to a different business at this point. This is an update to my original review, this was my 4th time with Danielle. And everything has been great since my first appointment. Services have been less and less uncomfortable as my skin is used to waxing now. She has done a great job getting all hair removed. Hair regrows amazingly slower now. I was surprised it had already been a month since my last visit, And I have committed to the smaller wax pass service. I do recommend EWC and Danielle, just communicate your expectations and wants with her and she will get the job done! She is super friendly and makes the service very relaxing and professional! Went to receive a Brazilian wax and an eye brow wax (last minute add on). I purchased an annual package for this service. I have received services at this center for over one year. I scheduled my next appointment before leaving the center but you can also use the European Wax Center app to schedule a service. Parking: many spaces available. This center is located near several other businesses so there's plenty of parking. Ambience: clean and neat. The waiting lobby area has about 4 chairs. During covid, you call their center upon arrival to check-in. Then they'll text you when your wax specialist is ready. The wax room is neat as well. Top hits play in the background during your service. Service and quality: top notch. They use appropriate cleaning procedures pre and post wax. No residual wax found in places after the service :). The wax specialists and front desk team are extremely nice and welcoming. I always have great convos during the service! Price: $$$ (with the wax package- long term savings after purchase). This review is NOT a result of my Esthetician. This is a result of the lack of customer concern the Pickerington location has for its customer. I have been a customer at this location for a few years. On more than many occasions, I have been moved from my "preferred" specialist without asking my preference only to find out that my appointment has been switched without my knowledge, not until I arrive. My comments are in no way to slight the other experts that work at this location, however, asking me who I prefer since I'm spending my money is only a matter of respect. Additionally, to be told by the location Manager that this is done for "the interest of the business" in so many words is equally insulting. If I continue to spend my money here, you have to show interest and action in doing better. Please, do better. read more

Every time I've gone here, they have taken 15-20 minutes after my appointment time to take me back. The last person that waxed me would put wax down, rip it off then immediately put hot wax over the area she just pulled from. she also didn't ask me if I was okay with her tweezing, she just did it anyway. At check out I told the receptionist that I was not interested in the wax pass (I don't get them often) and she would not give it a rest. I politely told her I would not be doing it multiple times and she continued to push. This location is the worst one I have ever been to and I would recommend anyone against scheduling here. read more

Well it's been a few more visits and I don't know what is going on over at the Pickerington location but please pull it together. I have had not one but THREE appointments canceled due to the staff calling in sick. I had an appointment on a Tuesday and was informed the stylist had called out sick and I was rescheduled for the following week. The next appt comes around and the receptionist called to once again cancel my appt due to sickness. I figured maybe they have something running through the building and hold off on making an other appt for awhile. The next month I call make an appt and the same thing happens. I get a call telling me the day of my tech (different from the last cancellations) is not coming in due to sickness. I have a 12 pass for brows and have only been able to use 4. Every time I make an appt it is canceled and when I was able to get in I have never seen the same person. Even though I rebook while I am there and ask for the same tech. To me it makes me want to take my business elsewhere especially if I can't even get into an appt. I have scheduled. Something is going on. read more

I've been going here for years and prior to this location I went to the Gahanna location. My only true complaint is that the turn over in waxers is high. I like having the same waxer and forming a relationship with them but every single waxer I've had ends up leaving. I don't know the reasons for all of them but I know some have been a result of the companies practices and policies. Do better EWC at retaining the good waxers! read more

I booked online for 2:15 . Got there at 2:10 waited over 25 minutes to get taken back . The actual wax took less than 5 min . 1 strip on each side and 1 strip in the middle . No tweezers no filling in . Horrible experience! read more

The customer service was horrible. The technician didn't even introduce herself. She also did not review with me exactly what I wanted done for my bikini wax. Usually someone will go over what you want removed and what you want to stay for a bikini wax. Every technician hands me a mirror if it's my first time seeing them. She also didn't remove all of the wax that she put on I had to do that when I got home she also tore it off so hard and so fast because she was rushing so much that she torn my skin off and caused me to bleed don't go here. Attempted to call the office to let them know that I would be a little late due to traffic, but was unable to get through. When I got to the office, I was told I couldn't be seen because I had missed the nine minute grace period. However, per my watch, I had arrived within that grace period. I told the office I tried to call them, but no one answered. The representative said oh, that is because our phones are down. This is an example of poor customer service because instead of being understanding and maybe allowing me to keep my appointment because I had arrived exactly within the grace period, I was told I will need to reschedule. Furthermore, I feel like I shouldn't be penalized because the office staff should have made sure their phones were working and/or someone could answer the phones. This experience was very frustrating for me because the appointment confirmation text requests clients to call the office if they need to cancel/reschedule, etc. When I tried to call, I get penalized because the office staff didn't answer the phones. read more

Warning this gets personal and graphic: The staff is great, caring, and very personable, they would really need to be for these painful shenanigans. First, when they say your hair should be as long as a grain of rice, those are instructions not a suggestion. Shave one to two weeks before your appointment. Don't try to trim and manicure the hedges, cut it all off! It's going to pull and the more it has to hold on to..... needless to say I dropped some f bombs along with some S, D, and made up bombs. I normally go bald, however I wanted to make sure everything was snatched and it was, including my tonsils I had removed when I was 25. This had to be a part two appointment for me. Yes I punked/tapped out after the bikini wax. But what's so funny is that the Brazilian wax is somewhat enjoyable. Would I do it again, yes I would. The feel and look is completely different from shaving and using Nair. My husband loves it and so do I. read more

This was the worst experience I have had. I had an appointment at 1 pm today and I arrived 5 minutes early and got checked at the front desk. A few minutes after I got checked in a walk-in appointment came in. That girl got checked in as well. A woman came in for her appointment, got checked in, and was seen immediately. After that, another person with an appointment came in at 1:15 and was seen immediately. I have been sitting there for 20 minutes and still haven't been seen. I didn't say anything because I understand that things happen and the front desk lady addressed the walk-in and told her that she was sorry for the wait and that her waxer was almost done with her other client. She didn't say anything to me. At 1:35 I finally got addresses and the front desk girl said "I'm sorry what's your name?" I tell her and she tells me "I didn't know you were still there, we forgot about you. Give me a second" and she walks into the back to get my waxer. Now I understand things can get out of order and mistakes happen. But you don't tell someone that you forgot about them and didn't know that they were still waiting to be seen. She said sorry once and that's it. That is not how you treat other people, especially customers. My waxer also said sorry for the wait but that was that. They were not very apologetic and didn't offer a discount or anything. I know that they have a 9-minute grace period but what about it being the other way around? I didn't get out of there until almost 2 pm. I pretty much wasted a whole hour today. I just feel like they lacked customer service and lacked being apologetic. When I make a mistake at work I say sorry a few times and I offer things to make the customer feel important. read more

The facility was really clean and looked very inviting. I have been going to European wax center for over a year now, and to be completely honest with you I was only going because I had heard good things from my friends and I had a free eyebrow wax coupon. I had Elizabeth for my first wax, and she was AMAZING. Needless to say, I ended up seeing her a couple more times and decided I couldn't see anyone else- she was the best! I was Getting ready to leave town for a boating adventure and two nights before I left, I decided to try to give myself a Brazilian wax... This did not go very well, so the next morning my friend recommended that I call the European wax center. They were able to get me in immediately and surprisingly told me I had done a great job starting the wax on my own!!!! They were able to "finish the job" in less than 20 minutes! I've been here a few times and have tried different waxes, but today I found my go to girl! Nadia did SUCH an amazing job that when I got into my car I was taken back by how neatly done, and shaped they were. It makes filling them in completely effortless! However, I gave this place four stars because I think when paying with card, asking how much you're tipping in front of everyone including others waiting, i don't think is appropriate. I by any means don't cheat others out while tipping, or cheap in any way. I'd like to see myself as a great tipper. I think that needs to stay private between the waxer and her client, not an entire room of strangers EXCEPT her. Quite frankly I think it's rude and no one else's business. What if a waxer did a phenomenal job and you wanted to tip a lot more than usual but be non discreet about it? No ones business. What if the waxer was absolutely terrible and you didn't want to tip as much as they'd like? No ones business. I come here for the wax artists because they do a tremendous job. With that being said, i highly recommend Nadia! You won't be disappointed! No one else is touching these brows again except her!! Haha read more

I went here for a few time to get Brazilian waxes. I always felt very awkward that the waxer stayed in the room while I was changing. The room is bright and not relaxing at all. Do NOT go to the Pickerington European wax center went in for a regular visit to have my eyebrows cleaned up. The girl I usually have an appointment with was no longer there. A girl with half teal and half black eyebrows, was the person I was assigned to. I don't usually judge people by their appearance, but I will now, when it pertains to their profession. I specifically told her that I keep my eyebrows thick because I feel like I have a big forehead. I left with one and a half eye brows. She said, "brows are sisters, not twins" and tried to draw on an eyebrow. After trying to get a refund for the almost $30 regrowth serum I needed to purchase and a visit put back on my wax pass, the manager freely admitted that she was not trained properly at beauty school and she needed to retrain her. I went a an Ulta Beauty next in the same shopping area. They took one look at me and said, you're the 4th person this month to come in here in tears from EWC. At least they're getting new clients. I had to spend another $30 there in products to try to create an eyebrow. I still ended up missing 2 important events that weekend because, well I'm just not good at "plastic surgery". I emailed the corporate office, because of course they don't have a contact number, to see if I could get a refund, because why would I go back? I don't trust them and I have nothing to wax. But I haven't heard back from them. So now I'm out almost $140, for the products, the wax pass, because I'm definitely not going back, and I'm stuck in the house until my eyebrow grows back. read more

The customer service is terrible. I was charged for services I did not receive. When asked for a refund, they can't give one. A manager has to contact you for that. They don't call you back. I called again, thought every thing was straightened out. Went in for my next service. I was charged another $100. Thought I should have had a credit from the previous fix, I didn't. Now they owe me even more money and can't get a credit or the proper person to call me back. The water herself (Hope) was great. Nice and friendly. Still wouldn't recommend as they will take more than you owe. read more

They said as long as you are here within our 9 min window. I was there at 1421, my appt was for 1415. I hauled ass from olentangy river rd. . Stood out in the waiting room for 3 mins because no one was out there and then she tells me I am past the 9 mins and have to reschedule. Sorry, there are way more options out there for waxing. I wish I had looked at the reviews before going into this place. But a friend referred me so I went and got my first eyebrows done for free and Hope who did mine did a great job then. So I signed up for the wax pass that the manager Michelle Blackwell recommended. I went in a month later and got it done again by the same person but this time my hair started to grow back in a week! Due to working full time and 3 kids one with special needs I didn't have the time to go back in right away for them to look at it. So about 2 1/2 weeks later I stopped in and mentioned to the manager my issue and that the wax probably didn't take well. She basically told me that they don't offer touch ups after 5 days ( now ofcourse hair is not going to grow back that fast with a wax ususally). She said there was nothing they could do besides charging me for another waxing service. I decided to go ahead and cancel my wax pass that I had signed up for which then she told me there's a $25 cancellation fee if it's over 30 days. I asked for that to be waived since the service wasn't that great but she wouldn't budge. Then on top of that she wouldn't return my money back to my credit card but gave me a store credit which I told her I don't plan on coming back to this store. The manager just looked at me and said that's the way the computers are set up and there's nothing she can do. None of this was ever mentioned to me when I signed up for the wax pass. I really regret going to this place. I have called corporate and they are looking into it. read more
