I have been a longtime European Wax Center customer and previously purchased my wax passes through a Downtown Los Angeles location. After moving to San Bernardino, I used my remaining services at the Renaissance Marketplace location in Rialto. When my wax pass ended, I was offered a new promotional wax pass. Due to unexpected expenses from my move and family wedding events, I decided I could not financially commit to the program and canceled it within the timeframe I was instructed to follow. Despite canceling within the required period and receiving confirmation by text that the membership would be canceled, I was charged again the following month. I contacted the location multiple times and was repeatedly told that a manager would contact me. Unfortunately, I never received a call or follow-up. Because the issue remained unresolved and the charges continued, I ultimately had to dispute the charges through my bank. Several months later, after my financial situation improved, I scheduled a waxing appointment online. My appointment was confirmed without issue. On the day of the appointment, I arrived early and asked whether there was any availability before my scheduled time. After reviewing my account, the receptionist informed me that the location could not service me because there was a hold on my account due to the previous dispute. I was then told I would need to pay both a cancellation fee and a dispute fee before receiving services. When I explained that I had canceled my wax pass within the required timeframe, the receptionist reviewed the account and acknowledged that I had, in fact, canceled correctly. She agreed the cancellation fee should not apply but stated that a dispute fee remained and that only a manager could address it. Once again, I was told a manager would contact me. Once again, I never received a call. My frustration is not with the estheticians, the cleanliness of the facility, or the front desk staff, who were courteous throughout the interaction. My concern is with the lack of communication, lack of follow-through, and apparent disconnect between customer service, corporate systems, and the individual franchise location. What disappointed me most was that my appointment was allowed to be booked and confirmed despite the account hold. No one contacted me beforehand to explain there was an issue. Had I arrived at my scheduled appointment time instead of early, I would have wasted even more of my day only to be turned away. I understand businesses have policies regarding disputes. However, when a customer follows the cancellation guidelines, receives confirmation that a membership is canceled, is charged anyway, and cannot get a manager to return multiple requests for contact, it creates a very poor customer experience. European Wax Center offers a great service, but the wax pass cancellation process, communication between corporate and franchise locations, and customer issue resolution process need significant improvement. Unfortunately, this experience has left such a bad impression that I will likely seek services elsewhere in the future. read more

So was out Christmas shopping with my husband and proceeded to have lunch at California Fish Grill to my surprise next-door a European Wax Center. First off I've been in the center a few times never seen. Upon looking online for reviews of the center as I am Wax center passholder I stumbled upon many great reviews for Denise. I was most definitely not disappointed. She is absolutely amazing! My brows are on point. My Brazilian was absolutely painless and seamless. I got my first Brazilian wax done here by Denise since I saw a good review on it, I went in and it was very straight forward but the actual process of the waxing felt like it was being rushed and she was talking a lot about their products and all the other important stuff, but I got up to get dressed I saw how patchy it was. When I went to go pay the lady at the front was very adamant about making the next appointment and I wasn't planning on coming again and tried to say I'll make the appointment myself but whatever, the wax was extremely patchy I still had a lot of hair left and was residue, I was very disappointed at the results and will definitely not come back to pay almost 80$ for it again read more

The employee at this center, "Tia", will put hard wax on the entirety of your pubic area and try to do the brazilian in one big strip. She won't pull the skin back or take any precaution to ensure a smooth session, like SECTIONING. She will be in a rush and yap about nothing trying to make it seem professional. She also will miss many hairs and she will have to rewax an area because she wasn't doing it properly to begin with. She will also leave patches of hair on the outside. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at European Wax Center. I was misinformed about the membership pricing--I was told I would be charged $166 every three months, but instead, I'm being charged $166 every month for four months. That's a huge difference, and I never would have agreed to it had I been given the correct information upfront. To make matters worse, I've called twice to resolve this issue and was told that a manager would call me back. No one has reached out. I've been completely ignored, which shows a complete lack of customer care and accountability. At this point, I have no choice but to file a dispute with my bank or go to small claims court because this is fraud. If you're considering a membership here, BEWARE. Once they take your money, they do not care about resolving issues or making things right with loyal customers. I will be canceling my membership and taking my business elsewhere. read more

Usually this location is ok, but today they literally wasted my time and gas. I had booked an appointment at 11:30am and they called me asking me if they can move me to 11:45 which I guess was ok but when I arrived the doors were close I called and the person didn't even know why the doors where close, I think the person who answered was from a office or idk but she asked for my name once I gave it to her she said they had put me down for 12pm which that time was not communicated with me. I still waited until 12. Once it hit 12 while waiting in my car I seen another customer got there and she was also confused on why the doors where locked if we had appointments i ended up canceling and leaving. I just this think location should communicate with customers better or put signs up at the door read more

So I really want to give this place a 4 1/2 five stars but after today it's going down two or three and that's me being pretty nice considering I was the one who was inconvenienced and went out of my way to come out here. So I don't even live in this area and granted I am about 20 minutes or so away but I had an appointment this morning because there they were offering free waxing for their new employees and they had it dated and I will post it I come in and they said yesterday was their last day for it. They didn't even bother to tell me they had me come in and I'm like OK so then why did the girls schedule me because apparently there were also specific times but the girl who scheduled me literally put me in the morning so now they're like well we can give you a call see if you want to come back in but OK so I'm not even working right now and I have the eyebrow pass which is why I come here cause it's already paid for and they want me to come back here use my gas which I just used for a service that they told me they're no longer offering. So the girl upfront told me that she doesn't know what happened I know what happened I worked in customer service she just wasn't informed or she forgot but on that note if they called me too make sure I was coming in they told me that I didn't need to call back if I was going to make it they should have told me that they're no longer offering that service especially a whole day before. So I'm attaching the piece of paper that says that they're offering it today but now it's no longer offered because that girls training ended yesterday which makes no sense because now they have a bunch of people scheduled for her who will probably doing it because it was free and now it's not. It's a complete waste of time. Instead of telling people you don't know what happened just be upfront and honest about it and call the people on that list are on that schedule if there and see if they want to come in. Because I know how business works you don't call people and tell them because one you don't want to, you're lazy AF, and two you want them to come in to get that service but if we're only coming in because it's free then you should have us call does to see if we still wanted to come in that way you could've booked those appointments for people who actually want to come in and can pay. I walked in and receptionist informed Me i missed appointment cuz it was 3:48, by the time she looked up my info before telling me I missed my appointment let's say it was probably 3:47. My fault, I was late BUT it's 4:01 now and I'm sitting outside my car trying to make my appointment at another location and NO ONE has walked in or out. So by process of elimination she probably could've taken me 2 mins late as courtesy.. keep the members happy? Keep them coming back? My first time at European wax center, I normally gets my Brazilians done at the pretty kitty in rancho but their appointments are hard to get and they don't have an online scheduling system and not much flexibility in times they are open. So once I realized the European wax center was close by I decided to give it a try. I love that I can book online and that they are open later. My appointment was originally scheduled for 7:45 but the waxer would not be coming in but they were able to accommodate me with another waxer at 7:00 pm which worked perfectly for me. I went into this location for my upper legs to get waxed. My appointment was at 9:45 am with Corene (no waxer preference which was a mistake to choose) and I was done by 10:15 am. The reason for the two stars is that the waxer seemed like she was in such a hurry. It made me feel like someone else was waiting for her service right after me while being impatient. Idk if this is what the company expects from their waxers but for what they charge I didn't expect my waxer to do it in such a hurry to the point that she seemed upset and was even throwing the popsicle sticks on the floor from how fast she reached them. Not to mention, she was also throwing them into the trash from afar to the point it was obvious she didn't want to waste time walking towards it. She was also very quiet and I read other reviews in regard to different waxers who like to tell their clients what steps they're taking. I, myself don't mind a more quiet environment but don't make me feel like I didn't have an appointment and walked in to ruin that day's schedule. Also, when I was done she said she would walk me out. Not even a couple minutes later I was tucking in my shirt and she asks if I'm done. When I walked back to the front office with her, she showed me some products (they will always recommend their products btw) and as she walked back I could hear the door to her room slam. Like I mentioned above idk if it's the location or what but it made me feel like I was in a hurry and for $58 plus tip they should do better. The two stars are for the waxing service itself since I noticed a bit of straggler hairs that I'll be taking care of on my own. This was my first and last time I will be going to this location.
