They charge 15 dollars extra for chrome powder. 15 dollars to just barely rub powder on gel nails. They don't disclose their prices, they don't give you a receipt. The man there talks over you and will tell YOU that you picked the color while you are actively telling him you don't like it. " but that what you picked!" It's the same number just different brand. My daughter ended up with hot pick nails and thick gel ( it's probably old) on her toes. They don't speak English well so it's easy to blame misinformation and miscommunication on the language barrier. They act as if they don't know what you mean or don't understand you until it's time to pay and they charge you 70+ dollars for a gel manicure and pedicure. They definitely overcharge and take advantage of certain customers. We wanted to try this place out, and regret it immediately. They lack customer service, it's non existent. The gentleman who works there didn't properly file or remover the old gel until he was told to do so. I don't know how the man that works there has his license.. but it needs to be renewed or revoked. Total lack of cleanliness! Our search for a decent nail salon in Fontana continues. He wanted to remove my previous nails with an acrylic nail which I politely declined. He gave me a huuuuuuggeee sigh and eyerolls. Moved on, all was alright. He then proceeded to attempt to remove my nails with an acrylic which i reminded him i did not wish to remove this way to which he raised his voice at me saying I KNOW I KNOW I KNOW. I make appts. so I typically don't wait long. I have been going to Amy (owner) for over 10 years. She is so good at what she does that when she left my previous nail shop to start her own business, I tracked her down and travel15 miles to be able to keep her. Prices are average, they always ask before they do anything and let you know the price so you can make a decision. Since going to the Fontana store, I've booked with Mindy, Tam, and Lana. I have been going to Diamond Nails since they open and Amy has always accomodated me and my girls. And carol has been doing my nails for a long time and never have i had a problem or Issue with how she does my nails or never have had an issue with Amy or Carol, It bother's me to see that people act like they were done wrong, at Jay G i was in the nail shop the day you where there, and it so didnt happen the way you posted. You didnt like how your nails came out the first time you got them done why didnt you say something then instead of leaving you should if had them fix then. ok so you came back to get them fixed when you sat at carol station you were indecisive on what you wanted, carol did the service you wanted and it was done at no charge, you got up from the chair looked at your nails and commented that your nails still didnt come out right, and was requesting your money back, at that time carol had taken a new customer you asked for the owner and carol answered that shes on the other side of the room and you asked her name and Carol told you her name you walked over and said who you were and began to say how you didnt like your nails how they came out it and then requested to get your money back. Amy said that they fixed your nails for free and couldnt give you your money back you then said that you werent happy and wanted your money back that its not right that you paid and didnt like the service. Amy said that you got service free that you couldnt get money back, you continued to request a refund of at least half of your money back. Amy walked over to her cash register took out $15 and gave it to you, you said something about the service and all Amy said is if you weren't happy with the service to go somewhere else, you started walking towards the door then made a comment you will for sure do a yelp review on there service and then you walked out, she never threw you out of her shop. Not Amy or Carol were never unprofessional with you. You got your nails redone for free and half of your money back. So if your gonna do a review make sure you speak truth. Warning: I got a Staph infection from this place. I went here FOR THE 1st time for a Mani Pedi. Left with a full blown STAPH infection! I had to get my toe injected with lidocaine while the doctor drained the infection. Painful as ever could be. This place needs to autoclave and sterilize their tools. Since the birth of my two children, my "me" time has plummeted. One thing I really miss - my bi-weekly pedicures. Bi-weekly has turned into monthly, if that (gross I know). So this past Sunday my feet decided enough is enough! I headed to my usual pedicure place only to discover they had an hour long wait!! I held back the tears thinking I'd have to go another week with my unpedicured toes ... and then I thought, "why not go to another place?" So, as always, I consult with my good ol' pal Yelp to see where it thinks I should go. I see a place close to home and 34 fellow Yelpers confirm that Diamond Nails is worth a shot. I have to admit, I was VERY nervous about going to a new pedicure place. I'm sure many women would agree that hair salons, nail salons, etc., are SACRED! You have to choose a good one, and going elsewhere is just plain terrifying. Fortunately, Diamond Nails turned out to be A-OK! I arrived and was quickly helped by a nice lady who filled my foot spa with rock salts. The disposable liners on the tubs were especially reassuring! The place itself was OK. Not as nice as my usual spot, but nice enough. The girl who did my nails was amazingly thorough! She brought my poor little feet back to life!! Overall, the service was excellent. A man, who I believe was the owner even offered me water. They also had a flat-screen TV that kept me entertained in the meantime. The prices are great too! Only $17 for a basic pedicure.
