I called the day before to make a reservation for the following day. While I would have liked an earlier time, I agreed to 2:15pm to at least get partial services done and still have it fit in my schedule. I arrived right on time, in fact a few minutes earlier, but the aesthetician was 20 minutes late in getting me back. In the past, I would not have minded too much, but lately, I've realized the practice of respecting people's time (in general) is *not* alive and well, so I'm more sensitive to calling it out. Plus, I was already having a horrible day related to customer service events, so this was grinding my gears more than it should have. My newly assigned aesthetician was professional and worked quickly, and I appreciate her stepping up when one of her colleagues wasn't. I love coming to " European Wax Center ". The customer service is always amazing! There has never been a time I felt uncomfortable! You can also do walk-ins if that works for you. I can get any service from any waxer! I got service from Nayeli and she was super sweet! This was probably the most smooth wax ever! No hairs left behind lol. New in town!! By review I went with Angelica. She's kind of new ( 1 year ) but she does good compared to others I've had in other locations with the same amount experience as her. There was quite of bit of hair missed on my legs but to be fair I was talking to her a lot possibly distracting her. I gave her 5 stars because I can tell that she's one to level up quickly and will soon be a pretty rad wax specialist. If you're used to someone with years of experience who waxes like the French, you might be a little dissatisfied. Overall I had a good experience with her. Emily was booked so I was kind of worried because I needed my wax done asap for my bday weekend & I decided to schedule whoever was available which was Hannah & she was bomb! Also she told me about the five day policy if I needed a touch up on my wax that they could do it which I was never aware about and I've been coming to European wax center for about two years! Unhappy about the new surcharge. It isn't much but that's not the point. The covid closure resulted in two missed appointments that I will not recoup. I Booked within days of this location reopening. My membership allows me unlimited services for a year, so I tipped my girl and was good to go (or so I thought). As I was leaving I was told I still owed them money. Excuse me? Although I brought my own mask, sanitizer, thermometer and pen to sign off that I had not experienced symptoms, the poorly informed staff could not give me a valid reason that I owed them more money. They would not take cash and would not provide me contact information for the manager OR the "corporate" office (which is who they cited for the added charge). I've been coming to this location for years and happy with my technician. I have a problem with being a regular, giving them my business, and getting stuck with arbitrary charges after they were closed for months. Honor my membership. If prices must increase as a result of a difficult year... fine. That's a cost I will consider if/when I renew. Not a fan of this location. Every time I ask for a more tenured person to handle my waxes, I'm always told "oh I can't tell who's more tenured" and they put me with a new person who I end up being the test dummy for. I called and spoke with Betsy a few minutes ago and she was no help at all. They are so rude and unhelpful. To add to that, I used to go to Emily who was very professional and now that she's gone, it's like this location has dwindled down to a fraction of what they used to be. My last wax, they put me with a new person who kept pulling wax pieces while it was still wet, so she kept having to go in to rewax the same section. Do yourself a favor and go to the vintage location up the street. At least there, they ask you if you mind being with a new waxer and will actually put you with a tenured waxer if you ask. read more

I got a Brazilian wax which is typically really nerve wrecking, but Brittany made my experience wonderful!!!!!! I scheduled an appointment today and when I went in to get my wax, Gloria greeted me at the front which was nice. Upon getting my service, she doubled dip the stick. I told her, we don't do that it's not sanitary and she said no it's ok you're my last client. Wow! I should have got up then but I needed a wax done BAD and since I'm new to Houston and have my boyfriend coming to visit in 2 days I needed the wax. She then proceeds to pull but little by little, NO just pull the wax fast all at once. I'm a license esthetician in GA and was shocked that she did not know how to properly pull the wax. She then starts to tweeze that side with her not even finished doing the entire wax, I told her finish the wax then the tweeze is last. She then uses the same stick after I told her to use another one as double dipping is extremely unsanitary and when I told her I was not comfortable she pulled the wax but the wax was not fully dry so it kept breaking and then she got it stuck to the pantie. It was a huge mess!! I'm no professional and understand that some people are more advanced than others but I had to get up and walk out. I didn't even get waxed properly and I pray they throw the wax away because double dipping is not safe and can cause your license. read more

Up until today I was happy with this location .. I had a scheduled appointment at 12:30.. it's raining so I called at 12:17.. (photos below) to let them know I was running about 15 min behind. The rep told me oh it's okay still go ahead and go.. only for me to literally pull up a couple minutes after my scheduled time and them call me .. telling me I can't keep my appointment.. Maybe, it's just me. But I find it tacky that as you check out, they always ask if want to leave a tip. I've lived in Vegas and San Francisco. All the salons and even those Chinese operated foot spa places rampant in the Bay Area would not even ask if I was going to leave a tip. The personnel are better than others. I have my underarm waxed, depending on who did the waxing, I'll either find still some hair or just a few left. After I finish my pass, I'll skip renewing. read more

I've been with this location for years, I've purchased many packages and have spent lots of money in tips. In the time I've been a client I've had at least 4 esthetician's due to either them quitting or bring fired. There was a time period when my appointments kept getting canceled or moved to a new person due to my regular girl being sick or not available. I've never complained about this inconvenience, I just rolled with the changes. This past week the same thing happened, my appointment was kept however, my esthetician was changed again. I was called today due to running behind, I had 2 minutes to make the appointment. I missed the 9 minutes by a minute and was turned around. The lobby was free of people, and there was no trying to accommodate even with the past I've had with them. I will no longer visit this location. read more

This place is way too pricey. Just getting an arms and legs wax will set you back more than $100. EWC use a hard purple wax which they peel directly off. It is supposed to hurt less but I didn't think so. They take off such a large chunk of hair at one time that it becomes painful. My waxer was very nice and professional but after getting home, I realized she missed a lot of spots on my legs. This place is definitely not worth it. I will find a less pricey alternative. Also they have a strict 9 minute late policy so if you're going to be more than 9 minutes late, you will have to reschedule. read more

I visited this location on 08/23. It was a same day appointment so I'm happy they had some availability on a Sunday afternoon. I arrived @3:35pm (10 mins earlier than my appointment as requested) but there was no one at the front desk. Meanwhile, there was an unsupervised 6-7 year old child waiting in the only chair available. After 5 mins or so, the front desk clerk appeared & checked me in. At 4pm I was seen by Emily, who was nice but not thorough. I paid for a Brazilian wax but she missed so much. Please hire someone who is comfortable with the female body to do the job she is paid to do. I should have tipped her less but I didn't realized how much she missed until I went home to shower. I have been to EWC many times and I have always been happy with my service, until last Saturday. I went to the clinic in Spring, TX and it was awful. My therapist was probably not well trained, she seemed like she didn't know what she was doing. She talked the entire time about child sex trafficking, including horrible detailed stories. By the time she was through I couldn't wait to get out of there. I paid for a full face wax plus tip $65. When she was finished, she never offered me a mirror so I didn't know it was bad, she just thanked me and walked me to the front. I got home and looked in the mirror. It looked as though I never had the service. I had to pluck my brows, as far as the fuzz, I''ll need to go somewhere and pay again. I just wasted $65 and an hour of my Saturday. I was sent a survey in my email, I filled it out expressing my disappointment and I never heard from them. I called the clinic and was told to leave my number and the manager would get back to me. That's been 4 days and nothing. I'm surprised I received this kind of service and lack of communication from the staff of EWC. read more

I will NOT be returning to this location. I scheduled my appointment more than a week in advance via the app as I normally do. In the days leading up to my appointment I received both an email and automated phone call confirming my appointment date and time. When I arrived for my appointment, I was told that the waxer I was scheduled with was not there. The receptionist said that someone tried to call me a few days before with this update but I never received any call or voicemail of the sort (I think they lied). I was then told that there was only one waxer in the salon that day and she was completely booked. How on earth do you only have one waxer working?! I wasted an hour driving there and back home in rush hour traffic! I've been going to EWC for many years in different states and I've never experienced this kind of disorganization. I've been going to yelp for the last few years without any incident. They're services are pretty decent, not great but not bad either in terms of costumer services. However, when I made an appointment this time they said I had a restriction on my account because they forgot to charge me for a product the last time I visited. I did not receive any type of communication regarding this, no email or phones calls during the month before my next appointment but I was expected to pay for the product anyway. I don't mind paying for what I owe but I've never been charged for something after the fact when I was under the impression that I had already taken care of my bill. It was their staff's fault and I should have gotten more than a $5 credit on my account. The manager was not very helpful. She said I was one of many with this problem. I'm not impressed to say the least with this encounter. Double check your bill before leaving if you buy products. read more

This was my second time going to this location to get my Brazilian wax... the staff were very friendly and made me feel comfortable, however; both of my visits there was still a lot of wax left on my private areas and all the hair was NOT removed! Brazilian Waxes are NOT cheap, I feel as of all hair should be removed (since that's what a Brazilian wax is) and they should clean you up well so that no wax is left. read more

I am a loyal customer of EWC now for over 2+ years. I have a Wax pass that I am considering cancel due to the way that I have been treated over the last few days. I live almost 30 minutes away from the closet EWC location. There are several OTHER places I could go to have a wax that are closer to my home etc. However I like EWC. I am rethinking this, as most recently. I went into the Spring store to purchase exfoliate. I arrived one night at 7:58PM on 5/12/2015 - the store was already closed; the hours are until 8:00PM. I was told I could not purchase the exfoliate because the store was closed and the register had been closed. It was NOT 8:00; however, I was very understanding as it was close to closing time. But the store should have still been open, considering it was not 8:00 sharp - I digress. Fast forward today - I made a second trip today on 5/13/15; I arrived at 3:00PM and the store said yet again I could not buy exfoliate because a meeting was being held. I did get exfoliate, but I think this shows MAD disrespect for my time, gas, and energy to get this exfoliate. Please advise this matter ASAP! read more
