Shady business. Paid $570 for an oil change and brake inspection. Customer be ware. I scheduled a service visit (oil change and brake inspection) a week in advance. Dropped car off at 9 am. Wife called them at 4:30 pm and car service wasn't complete. They said they'd need another night "for parts" and car was taken apart and couldn't be picked up. I got a call at 4:45 saying they were waiting for a cabin air filter and needed another day.... I said "no", get the car ready to be picked up. I got to the store at 5:15 and was told yet another story about how they needed my approval to bleed the brakes and that was the hold up... And they never called to ask me. They forgot... I used them for regular service for 5 years which was fine. The first repair I needed for a fog light change which was way overpriced. They explained it away so I left it alone. This time I had a major repair and came out with the engine light on and another repair required that wasn't on the original estimate. They said it was but since the estimates are live I couldn't prove it. We decided we no longer trust them and will not return. Seemed like a bait and switch. read more

my son went in for a courtesy check up and received a bill for $200+. why are we charged for a courtesy check up? we had to pay to get his car back, but asked if fee would be credited if work gets done, "no". our $800+ quote was done for less then $150, from another shop. just because you work on upscale cars, doesn't mean every customer has money to burn away. Husband's car was worked on recently. They kept the car much longer than they had stated it would take. We had the expense of renting a car and re-renting a car twice due to this, for a total of over two weeks. So he had a $2,000 bill with them and another almost $1,000 for rental. He gets the car home. Everything is great for one day. The car won't start at all the very next morning. This had zero to do with why the car was taken in to begin with. He had never had one single problem with the car starting. (It is not the battery.) It seems strange this issue only arises after they have the car over two weeks. Now we are stuck with one vehicle again and a car that is not running. Cannot help but wonder why this problem arises AFTER their work. Something they worked on must have created this issue, whether intentionally or unintentionally, and they should have fixed this or spoken to him regarding it before releasing the car back. I took my car here a while ago (didn't realize I forgot to submit the review). My car ran perfect but I knew the clutch probably needed replacing so had them replace my clutch and told them to leave the flywheel if it was still good. They replaced the flywheel but looking at the old one it was obvious it still had a good bit of life left. I went ahead and had them do just a general maintenance package too (new spark plugs, air filter, etc). The day I got my car back was the first time it ever broke down on me, wouldn't start. I had to pay for a tow back to the shop and they ran the codes and the error was with the crankshaft position indicator (VERY CLOSE PROXIMITY TO CLUTCH). They were insistent that I needed a new one and it was just a coincidence that it went bad the day I got my car back (and a coincidence that the thing that went bad was right next to clutch they were replacing). So dropped a couple hundred more dollars - keep in mind I had to pay for EVERYTHING as if I was a new customer so I'm actually out a TON of money with tow and all. Get the car back and sure enough it starts throwing faults (was not before). Callled them and told them the code (fault came from O2 sensor) and they assured me I needed new O2 sensors. I knew this was not the case as they were relatively new and it was likely just doing it's job, letting me know the car was too lean/too rich. I decided not to take it back and spend hundreds of more dollars just for them to mess something else up. Sure enough when looking it over myself, a vaccum line was loose so I fixed that and the code went away. Too many coincidences (like I said, never had a problem with the car before). Either pure incompetence/negligence or something else. read more

We were driving across the country from North Carolina to California. Our check engine light came on as we entered Tennessee. We were driving a Volkswagen Rialta camper. It's a 2003 VW Eurovan, with a Winnebago top. We called the local Volkswagen dealer in Knoxville. The Volkswagen service department told us they weren't required to service our Volkswagen camper. We asked if they could just hook it up to their computer and give us a diagnosis. No. We called Eurotech Knoxville and spoke with Rick. He was very helpful and gathered information. We were too far away from Knoxville and they were closing, so he recommended we come by first thing in the morning. When we stopped by in the morning, their shop was packed, but Rick went out of his way, diagnosed our problem (bad coil on one cylinder) and did the repair himself. I was in town visiting from Atlanta and needed new front pads and rotors for my Audi S6. I had been quoted much higher prices from the Audi dealers and other independent shops. Like a lot of consumers, I'm not a car expert and on higher end European cars, you especially have to be careful as they need a lot of extra parts and "special" parts and its hard to know if they are always necessary. I really appreciated the professionalism and taking the time to explain what I really needed and didn't try to up upsell me. The prices were very reasonable and I would highly recommend. Very nice staff at Eurotech, but I felt there was miscommunication as to what I wanted done to my Porsche Boxster S. On two separate occasions I spoke with the scheduler person and said I wanted the premium Interstate battery installed, gave them the model number cranking power etc. As best I can tell given the lower price charged not the model I wanted and you really can't tell from the receipt what battery was installed. I was in a hurry given another appointment and did not really say anything to the staff, but once home felt I drove a long way and was not totally satisfied. We were on a road trip travelling through Knoxville when unexpectedly our BMW X5 experienced an engine malfunction error and went into limp mode. Upon pulling to the side of the highway, the owners of Eurotech Knoxville graciously also pulled over to offer assistance. As their business was closed on this weekend day, they still opened the shop to analyze and assist. We were traveling from Maine to California. Our Range Rover developed a problem and we barely made it to Knoxville. We called around but had a great difficulty finding mechanics who were able to take us that day or willing to work on this type of a car. The Eurotech Co was recommended by others. Because of our situation, we were told that they will try to fit us into their schedule. They did a thorough job examining and we went over the problem in great detail. I would not recommend Eurotech. I spent over 2k for repair and service work. While they replaced parts, the problems I was having with my BMW remained after I left the shop. They missed loose bolts and problems with the sway bars which were thankfully caught and repaired by another garage. They told me that my headlights were not BMW headlights and they wanted to replace them at a cost of 1k each. I said no, and me and my neighbor fixed the problem which was only a loose connection. The other garage said the headlights were indeed BMW headlights. Very disappointed. Would definitely not recommend Eurotech and I would not trust them. read more
