She was able to squeeze me in before her next appointment. Although I was a walk-in, she made me feel welcome. She gave me the cutest bob cut that made my hair look nice and refreshed. I decided this year that I was going to take the plunge and go from years of dyed black hair to blonde and I wanted Karen to be the person to take me through it. It took me awhile to book the appointment, as she didn't have any availability for three months. I took that as a good sign, she is busy because she's worth waiting for. My best friend and I took the drive out to Montebello together, the salon was pretty easy to find even though we were unfamiliar with the area. As soon as we walked in the door, we were warmly welcomed by everyone. ALL of the people in this salon are fun and friendly. Judging by how busy they were, everyone here has a super loyal clientele. My friend was hoping for a haircut (she didn't have an appointment) but they were booked solid. Karen was the ultimate professional, she went over price with me as well as expectations before we started. I knew we couldn't change from black to blonde in one sitting, she gave me options for colors during my transitional phase. We decided on a dark plum. She was super chatty and very friendly throughout the whole process. She constantly checked on my hair while I was under the blow dryer to see how the process was going. I just can't say enough about her personality AND her skills. I am in the beauty business also and I know how rare it is to find someone who is both humble AND super talented! My hair has never looked so good! I got soooo many compliments that it's ridiculous. My hair still looks healthy and super shiny, even though it has been bleached. People have even been asking to take pictures of my hair at work. I just wish I could duplicate the way she styled and blow dried it!

Diana is the queen of extensions and really skilled when it comes to color correction and blondes. She's done just about everything to my hair: Brazilian blowouts, dying it blue, i-tip extensions, chopping it all off after a break up, etc My favorite thing about Diana is that she will be extremely honest with you about your hair. When I went from black to a brown/ blonde balayage, she made me do it SLOWLY. I've seen her turn down clients because their hair is in no state to be bleached but they want her to do it anyway. She's very passionate about her work and goes over and above to get your hair to a healthy place-- and keep it that way. I've sent all of my friends to her and, like me, they won't let anyone else touch their hair. Actually, the only other person I let touch my hair is Elite's owner Lorena. I came in as a walk-in for a blowout and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The…read morestaff seemed unsure of who would be able to assist me, and after being seated with Belinda, I was quoted multiple prices. I was initially told $35, then $45 because I have one row of extensions, and at the end of the service I was charged $65. During the service, I was not properly draped, my hair was not washed thoroughly, and there seemed to be little structure or professionalism throughout the appointment. No products were used until I specifically requested leave-in conditioner. I asked for a blowout with a flipped out finish, but my hair was curled instead without my approval. When I questioned the final price, I explained that I had not requested curls. To make matters worse, oil was applied from my roots all the way down my hair, leaving it looking greasy and weighed down. The final result was uneven, wet in the back of my head, with some sections curled and others not, and it lacked the polished look I expected from a professional blowout. Overall, I left extremely dissatisfied and will not be returning. Based on my experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere if you're seeking a quality wash and blowout.

When I left the salon I didn't love the results but it seemed like I just needed a darker toner nothing too bad. When I got home and looked at my hair in the sun light I realized my hair was completely ruined. I had streaks of various widths some not even lightened and toned properly. Pilar seems very nice but I think she needs to look into updating her methods. I had a consultation both in person and through text as to what I wanted I showed her various inspo pictures of brunette balayage and we seemed to be on the same page so I don't know what happened as we agreed on something much more natural. She told me to come back in three days to darken it but at that point I didn't want her messing with my hair any longer. I don't normally write reviews especially not bad ones but I'm pretty upset with the results. So I don't recommend you waste your money here.
