I was asked by the mayor of the town I live in to purchase a 1/4 of an acre of my property. The city was instructed by the EPA to add onto their water station that is at the end of my property. Of course I'm on board with doing that! We have been trying to work with Cross Country for TEN months with very little communication and one very rude employee who works in the land transaction department. i have had to include several people from the company in all of my emails to get any answers from her. Even with some of the company staff telling her in an email that the company was being embarrassed, she is still giving me and the city the run around. She even tried to tell us that she did not receive a check and a whole packet of paperwork. I had to threaten a lawsuit for losing a $500 check and my personal information in the packet of mail that was sent certified and signed for at her office. I even provided the name of the person who signed for it. Magically it was found after that. But I can only imagine what would have happened if it wasn't sent certified!! Now she has claimed to have ordered a ln appraisal and said I would be getting a call to schedule one. I have not gotten a call and when I asked her about it she said she didn't have any information about it. I guess they don't mind lawsuits as I see now that they are facing several of them, this is unfortunate and I fear I am going to have to hire a lawyer myself. if you can avoid using them do it! It will not go well!!!

After a terrible 6 months of resubmitting the same documents at their request, extended inspections and needing approval for every little step over and over again, no agent knows what the next is doing and there clearly is not a company policy on procedure. Now that we have completed the rebuild, they have now conveniently decided to forgo sending the remaining balance owed after we rebuilt the home back better than when the mortgage was sold to them and increased the value. Shellpoint refuses to turn over the extra funds from the insurance settlement nearly $86k. Man do I need a lawyer. This company does not care about their clients in the least bit.
