Nelson Valencia of Valencia Electrical and Solar Services had bid on the project as well. It was a very difficult decision for me to make, but I ultimately decided to go with the contractor that worked with me for over twenty (20) years. Thereafter, I spoke to Nelson advising him how difficult it was for me to make this decision, as I believed that he had the expertise needed to install Generac's PwrCell, while the contractor I went with was recently added as Generac Authorized PwrCell Installer. At some point, it became evident that the contractor I selected did not have the knowledge, background and expertise to install the PwrCell Battery Back Up System that I purchased through them. At that point, I suggested that Nelson Valencia be contacted to discuss hiring him as a sub-contractor. My long-time contractor agreed and then hired Nelson Valencia of Valencia Electrical and Solar Services as the sub-contractor. Nelson installed, my two (2) PwrCell Cabinets with six (6) battery modules totaling 36kwh, as well as the Inverter, Transfer Switch and the Emergency Rapid Shut Off Switch. Inevitably, Nelson ran into certain issues during the installation involving certain changes to the battery cabinets that made the installation challenging. Nelson contacted Ricardo Acevedo at Generac to explain the issues involved. I asked to be included on those calls, as I had read much of the installation materials provided and I wanted to be sure we were all on the same page, which was done. My PwrCell Battery Back Up System was successfully installed, in large part due to Nelson Valencia's knowledge, expertise and dedication, as well as Ricardo Acevedo, Generac's engineer's ability to provide Nelson with technical guidance. At one point it became clear that the battery cabinets needed an updated part, so the two (2) brand new battery cabinets could work together as intended. Ricardo Acevedo presented this issue to his manager at Generac and Generac authorized the additional part and its installation. Nelson, Ricardo and Generac made sure that my PwrCell Battery Back Up System was properly installed. Their dedication and follow up was invaluable to me. Generac favorably responded to the situation presented by their Authorized Installer and their Engineer. I very much recommend Nelson Valencia of Valencia Electrical and Solar Services should you want to install a PwrCell Battery Back Up System.
