Took my tiller here to be serviced, and I was not disappointed at all. The customer that I received was above and beyond. The person who took my information was friendly, funny, and super helpful. He even helped me get my truck started back up after the engine flooded. Dropping it off was a cinch. Picking it up was even better. The owner called to let me know it was ready, and there was no fuss when I ordered to have it serviced for a little extra. When I got there, I was once again greeted by friendly folks, and the owner checked me out. To my surprise, the full service included a much needed cleaning. So, my tiller looked better than what it did when I brought it in. Very impressed! To top it all off, the tiller runs the best it's ever ran. I bought it used, and it worked fine when I got it, but it runs with such ease now. I tilled my 17.5' x 24' plot in 15 minutes. Overall, I would highly recommend Evan's, and I will definitely be back for future maintenance. read more

TERRIBLE PLACE!! I took a jetski there and they told me motor was bad on it, took to another mechanic and it was not bad. Also took a snowmobile there and they "claimed" that they installed, New Spark Plugs, Wires, Battery and cleaned the carbs, bolts weren't even taken off, same battery that was in it when I took it there, Same plugs and everything. Do not go here!! A small engine repair place that doesn't know how to fix small engines. Had my weed eater and blower there. Told me a couple of weeks. Randomly text me 5 weeks later that they don't work on this stuff anymore. Waste of time, came to pick up one day at 915am and nobody was there. Suppose to open at 9. Unprofessional!! read more

Horrible experience here. Will never come back again. Brought my small engine motorcycle here because it needed carburetor work and they charged me $400 for work they never completed and parts I didn't need. when I got the bike back It died 2 minutes after I drove it out of their lot. Brought it back to them and their mechanic toor down the engine and then up and quit leaving my bike in puzzle pieces they couldn't put back together so I had to come pick it up with a bucket to throw parts in and take bike home so they wouldn't charge me for another work not completed. Worst experience ever. Over charged and the guy clearly had no idea what he was talking about. They had my boat For 2 MONTHS and also ignored my calls and hung up on me when I would call for updates. Overcharged me after holding it for 2 months just to take 4 hours to tell me "I need a new engine". Save your time and money and avoid this place. Very rude and unreliable. Terrible service. Use to recommend to everyone. Brought a ski in in the beginning of summer and was told it would be looked at in two weeks. Called every week for two months just to keep getting hung up on, finally fed up and told them I was getting it and they said it's in the shop now! (August) Cool, took them three hours to unscrew some bolts and call to say they can't fix it. Could have been somewhere else and fixed by now? Not only that charged a couple hundred and didn't even put it back together. Good for maybe a weed eater. read more

Took my Poulan 2 stroke chain saw and limb saw in for service. Had the chaines sharpened and a new carborator put on both. This was near the beginning of the grass cutting season so there was a 3 to 4 week backlog before they finished working on my equipment. This wasnt a big deal for me because i expected it. They did a nice job showing me that my equipment was working before i left with it. I would recommend this repair shop but take your equipment in over the winter unles you dont mind waiting a while. read more

Terrible business tho who say it's good probably work for them but they charged me 186 for a damn air filter and I took my moped in cause it was bogging down under acceleration and they didn't even clean the carborator like I told them to. Repaired my ride mower in a short amount of time and for a great cost. After reading other reviews I knew this was the better place. Originally had a Sears technician come look at my mower. He informed me that everything would need to be replaced and other parts are not worth fixing. Had me convinced that I would need to junk my mower. Called Evans Shop and took my mower over to have it looked at. Just a few minor repairs and simple carb clean out and good as new. Definitely recommend this repair shop. Thank you read more

A little rag-tag repair shop, basically if it's got an engine, they'll work on it. Repair, maintenance, and winterizations for all sorts of vehicles seems to be their thing. I dropped off a very cheap chainsaw in hopes of it being a simple carburetor clean out and a few bucks. It was a $30 cash only diagnosis to tell me it would cost more to fix the thing than to buy one new. The shop is cluttered, but often times the brightest minds thrive in what's chaos in someone else's eyes. I would recommend this place to those with branded equipment that doesn't have an actual service center: Poulan, Weed Eater, Craftsman, McCulloch, Ryobi, etc. read more

Stay away from these clowns. Took my chainsaw in for repair on 4/25. They said about 2 weeks. Went back on 6/8. Worker told me owner wouldn't let him work on 2 stroke engines and put him on other jobs. So my chainsaw sat there for 8+ weeks and they had no intention of getting to it. Could have taken it somewhere else and had it back by now. read more

HONESTY is not the policy at "EVANS" Brought a Kubota mower in for a simple pulley replacement only to bring it home with a steady leak. Brought it back and was told I needed a gasket replaced that was dry rotted. Paid 280.00 and got home only to have an even worse leak...This time I was told I needed a steel hydraulic hose. Out of my own stupidity I paid for this service as well. Once I arrived to pick up mower I was asked "How much money do you have?" Meaning that my machine was in serious trouble. Mechanic in hoverround chair informed me that they were out mowing with unit for 20 minutes and it wont bleed out. He try to convince me to take it home and "BE EASY" with it and it will most likely bleed out. However I could not load it on my trailer. Upon inspection I found there was no fluid in transmission reservoir. once I addressed this issue I was told Mr.Evans was on vacation and that he had to correct the problem. Once he returned from paradise I was informed that my right transmission had to be replaced and the cost was 2300.00. "It was an act of nature he told me. when I told him there was no fluid in tank and transmission was burnt up Mr.Evans looked at me and said he did not believe that. I had been a faithful customer for many years and have sent countless customers to him but, never again. Now it's small claims court we go! I have heard from other Lawn Services that they would never take their equipment to "Evans" now I know why. Now of course Mike Evans has his own story but, if anyone is looking for lawn service repair PLEASE do yourself a favor and take it to a reputable service center, such as Louisville Tractor or Bluegrass lawn @ Garden. A simple pulley replacement cost me near 500.00.and in return I have a 10.000 mower sitting in the barn collecting dust. read more
