Dr. Nolan Chun and his team are incredibly patient, gentle, and kind during every visit! Dr. Chun is not the type of dentist that recommends unnecessary fillings. In my case, he said we would wait to see if the problem would resolve over time with fluoride toothpaste. Although I did end up needing the filling eventually, Dr. Chun was extremely patient and reassuring, especially knowing my high anxiety with needles. In addition, I never realized that I was grinding my teeth until visiting this office. This was the first dentist that brought it up to me, even though some of my teeth are visibly ground down. The dental hygienists are very kind, explain why they do what they do, and are very gentle with teeth sensitivity. I would especially recommend Dr. Chun and his team to anyone with dental or medical anxiety or tooth sensitivity. read more

Dr Chun is great for many reasons. He's gentle, never causes pain, and refers to other providers whenever necessary. Often when more than one option is possible, he provides you with information on both. Also, he has really good hygienists. Pam is especially good. And as a patient I prefer less costly interventions as long as it doesn't compromise my teeth. And Dr. Chun helps me meet that goal. He is precise and efficient at making sure your teeth are in healthy condition and ensures that you have the knowledge and techniques to go how with to maintain your teeth health. The staff and techs are also amazing! They are kind and ensure that I have a pleasant visit! I am incredibly upset with the level of care I received at this dental office. My fiancé started going to this dentist and really liked him so I decided to give him a shot. The first visit was well over an hour long and I wasn't given a time estimate when scheduling so I needed to leave before they could do a full cleaning and the dentist made a remark about my "poor planning." Funny how my fiancé, a man with insurance, was in and out within 30-45 mins of his first appt but I was left waiting and chastised for my planning. They found a bad cavity in my first appt so I at least wanted to get that fixed and had already paid out of pocket for X-rays and the cleaning, so at that point it was probably sunken cost fallacy. My first visit, they had said "either a filling or a root canal" was needed for that tooth, I come back for the filling and am told "either a white filling or a silver one." I have had several bad cavities in my life and have always been able to get a white filling, so this is a completely new thing to me, I have no idea what a silver filling is and am not told what it is or any side effects or things that can happen with one until AFTER IT IS IN MY MOUTH. I assumed that at some point he would've said "yeah no there's no way we can do a white filling here, I'll proceed with the silver one, here's all the info about that." Nope. Just "all done, by the way I had to do the silver one, don't worry it's a good blend of metals and it's cheaper". I've been paying out of pocket for all of this and if he had asked, he would know I'm not at all concerned about cost for my teeth, I can cover a white filling if I needed to. So I paid $350 for a filling that I found out is made of Mercury and some metals I'm allergic to AFTER it was placed and then told that if it causes pain that we might need to do a root canal anyway. WHY DIDN'T WE JUST DO THE ROOT CANAL THEN?? So now I've paid $350 for a filling I'm looking to get removed by a different dentist and about $900 for all of my care there and nothing to show for it. Meanwhile my fiancé, again a man with insurance they accept, has only had good things to say and feels informed and affirmed in his choices there. I truly can't figure out if it's because I've been self paying or if it's just good old fashioned sexism that got me this level of treatment but either way, I will never be back. read more

I came here at the recommendation of a friend after a traumatic filling left me unable to chew on one side of my mouth. Dr. Chun and his staff are extremely nice and attentive. He gave his recommendation for a root canal and referred me to Lakeview Endodontics who agreed with him and did the procedure. Dr. Chun made me feel safe and heard while he prepared the tooth for a crown and later applied the real thing. As a new patient who just had two teeth badly chipped not even 24 hours ago, I had trouble finding an emergency dentist to take care of my needs before the weekend started. Dr. Chung was able to take me into his clinic on extremely short notice and at a reasonable price that was far lower than expected, especially in comparison to other dentists who gave me their high estimates. This was also incredibly fortunate since I don't have dental insurance. Long story short, my teeth are fixed, look great, and at a decent price! Never going to this clinic again. Their front desk customer service is extremely rude. Not only did they diligently check whether a procedure is covered in my insurance or not, but when I called them for more explanation (after paying whatever I owed by the way without even asking for a refund), the front desk lady gave an extremely rude answer "The dentist is not going to close his eyes and stick toothbrush in your mouth to do an evaluation". This customer service is beyond imagination. If you still want to go to the clinic, insist on proof that they have checked with the insurance before you go for the treatment. Edit: After writing email to the office, Dr. Chun got back to me himself and apologized for the mistake. I appreciate this gesture by Dr. Chun. Unhelpful and rude front desk. Did two cleanings and a filling here in the past year. Also got a night guard. The doctor was very nice and patient. Recently I had a progressive tooth pain and serious gum infection. Dr Chun was able to see me on the next day, then referred me to an endodontics. The endodontics told me I should discuss with Dr Chun and see a periodontics instead. My report was sent to Dr Chun's office on the same day. Called the office twice (on Friday and Monday), doctor is not on the office on Monday, but the front desk lady refused to give me a peridontist's number and didn't communicate my situation with the doctor at all. I called another dental office who happily recommended a periotontist (who turned out also works with Dr Chun's office). My tooth infection was so bad that the peridontist decided to extract it. Another week has passed, I haven't heard anything back from Dr. Chun's office. With this level of communication and service, I think this office might be good for simple cleaning but you can't rely on it when you actually need care and help. read more
