I can't begin to tell you how wonderful and helpful they all were at the lodge. From start to finish someone was outside checking on us to make sure we were OK. Elaine, who was the front person was everything you could ask for in a hostess. I've been coming on and off to the American Legion for 35 years and I've been selling flowers in the front for Easter and Mother's Day for just as long. Everyone there has always made my family, guests and I feel welcomed. With the added improvements this year the outside was absolutely beautiful overlooking the lake. It's an ideal place for any special occasion in your life. The culinary journey began with a delightful array of appetizers. The spinach fritters, accompanied by yogurt, chutney topping, and a spicy powder, stood out as a true culinary gem. The addition of this spice powder accentuated the flavors and made it a memorable dish. My personal favorite, Vada Pav, was also on the menu, and I couldn't resist enhancing its taste with a sprinkle of the spicy powder. The bar and appetizer service took place outside the hall, and here we encountered a few service hiccups. The bartender was notably absent, which led to a bit of confusion among the guests. However, a friendly waiter came to our rescue and promptly served our drinks when requested. The situation at the bar took an unexpected turn when another bartender, who seemed to be in a pleasant mood at first, began using profanity in a soft tone when asked why he wasn't present. His exact words "Get the fuck out of here" to his own co-worker - ten times in front of all the guests who are waiting in line at the Bar and in front of the guests who are getting their appetizers. This unexpected exchange, while bizarre, didn't overshadow the overall experience but left us a bit bewildered. Moving on to the main course, it was exactly as expected in a Mughal restaurant - rich and creamy, fulfilling the culinary desires of guests. The dessert spread was a highlight of the evening. The Moong Dal Halwa was a standout, leaving a lasting impression with its superb taste. The quality of the Kulfi was exceptional, rounding out the meal on a sweet note. The ambiance was elevated by a dance floor with flashing colorful lights, adding a lively touch to the event. The combination of good music, delectable food, and a pleasing atmosphere contributed to an enjoyable evening.
