My husband and I had our wedding at Houston Station on November 25th. We cannot say enough about the beauty of the venue and the dedication of the staff! We decided to not use a wedding planner, and Elizabeth and Samantha were top notch helping us plan such a large undertaking. At our first meeting with Elizabeth she had a folder with recommended vendors. We felt the best part about Houston Station is that ALL of the vendors are in the building, they are used to working seamlessly together, and Elizabeth has long standing relationships with them. At our planning meetings, Elizabeth and the vendors were finishing our sentences! That is how much they anticipated our needs. By the end of the wedding, we felt like Elizabeth and the staff were family. Elizabeth is no nonsense, runs a tight ship, and has the biggest heart of gold. She is a HUGE Alabama fan, and my husband is a HUGE Auburn fan. Of course we were married on the Iron Bowl. Elizabeth set up the grooms room with a TV for the game so my husband could watch it until the last minute. Even in the face of Alabama's loss to Auburn, she knew how special it was for my husband, and she graciously played along. Clearly, I can't say enough about the venue and the people. If you're looking for an upscale way to do it yourself, go to Houston Station. It is worth every cent. read more

If you are looking for an event space for a wedding, party, or other function I would recommend checking out Houston Station. Located in a converted warehouse Jeff and his business partners have created the ideal location that is tucked away south of downtown. From the outside, Houston Station doesn't appear to be anything at all. Was I surprised when I walked up the stairs! A mix of exposed wood and brick generates a very comfortable feel for this space which accommodates about 250 to 300 people. Forget all of the fussy rules, Jeff who is the facility manager emphasizes the flexibility and versatility of the event space. The space is handicap accessible and when you rent, you get the building for the entire day. A great kitchen and private rooms for preparation enhance the characteristics of the station to make other vendors happy. Also, a fantastic little outdoor terrace would be a fabulous place to chill in warmer weather. The possibilities are seriously endless! read more

Attended a work function here not long ago, and was pleasantly surprised to see a new event venue choice for our fair city. I like it, but doesn't get five stars in my book. Pros: It's different. Cool decor/vibe with lots of exposed brick, wood floors, and rough wood. Cons: In the middle of nowhere, (yet right in town, I know - just a sort of no man's land). All around it is DARK. If your event doesn't have valet, I feel for your guests. No signage whatsoever. Street names in that area don't agree with GPS, and since there are no signs, you go around the long way for no reason. Area around feels sketchy, don't know if it really is or not. Main entrance has stairs, if you have folks on your list with wheelchairs or climbing issues they are sent to a different area that I never saw. Assume it was an elevator somewhere. A co-worker of mine was following me off 4th as we turned onto the street, and the railraod tracks there had a big wash out/hole that he literally got his car stuck in. It was so dark, I didn't even notice Oddly enough, there were some area natives that appeared out of the darkness and offered to help... and once he got over the "fear factor," they literally pushed his car out of the hole. Interesting, and I'm sure I'll visit again. If I could, would actually be in between 3 and 4 stars, but was feeling a little generous today. read more

I chose Houston Station for a 500 person private event for Thirty Tigers CMA Fest After Party, after looking at every single potential venue or event space in Nashville. The room is magnificent to say the least and couldn't be more perfect of a room to utilize in a multitude of scenarios. The photos really do not do it justice so if you have not seen it in person, do that before you choose anywhere else. But what was most impressive was the staff. Everyone that worked at the venue were the kindest and most helpful staff I have worked with for any event I have produced. They worked to help find us vendors for everything from sound, stage and lighting, security, food, etc. They went above and beyond from the moment we began looking at the space until the event was over. Choo choo! If you take the tracks out of downtown, you can hop off at the newly (2 years ago) Houston Station. Houston Station is an event space that is ideal for weddings, parties and even live shows. The building had historically been several different businesses over the last hundred or so years. Breaking the grain of consumerism and retail products, the space is ready for your creative good time. With brick walls, rough cut timbers, this space keeps some of that historic charm. They have modernized the space by making it contemporary with updating the kitchen, restrooms and offices that adorn the major party space. They even have their own top of the beverage chain coffee shop (open during the day during the week and during events) call Notable Blends. The owners are experts and just wonderful to collaborate with. The staff here are honesty professional and flexible in meeting your needs. They employees wonderful support staff (local catering companies and bartending services). The location is a bit off the map and feels strange. But once inside, you feel like you left on a train to elegentville. read more

I visited Houston Station for a Saturday evening wedding reception. Given wedding receptions have several vendors, the event was amazing. Houston Station has an amazing romantic vibe with underlying hip tones. The staff was great. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun yet fancy reception location. read more

Only giving 3 stars because of parking. Other than that this place is absolutely lovely. Not only do I conduct business here but I also attended a wedding here. One if the loveliest weddings I've been too. I heard a new restaurant called Hemingways has opened. I've heard great reviews but haven't had the chance to try yet. read more

I own Nashville Audio Visual, From a vendor stand point I give it 5 stars. As with any venue or company sticking to rules is paramount, unlike a lot of venues he is flexible with load out times, I'm sure as the popularity of his venue grows he may not be able to do that as often. However, it's a beautiful venue that is well maintained and managed. It takes a real pioneer to be the first to revitalize an area of town like that, an I am sure Houston Station will be a catalyst for more economic growth in that area. Chris Jackson. read more

Very Nashville in decor. Great for country/southern themed events. It is in a dark industrial area of town, so I definitely wouldn't go there by myself. Rustic look inside would be great for parties, but lighting was not abundant for the work function I attended which could have used more light. Right next to the train tracks which is a pro and a con. There is an interesting little coffee house on the second floor. read more

This was my second year to host a corporate event at Houston Station. We saw our attendance increase 82% and I credit the venue for a big portion of that. Those who didn't attend last year missed out and didn't want to miss out again. I look forward to working with their staff because of the little things that they have done or continue to do that make my job as an event planner easier; from allowing us to choose our own vendors to being involved as much or as little as you prefer. The flexbility of the space makes it work for anything from weddings to parties to networking receptions or in my case a trade-show like corporate event. The space is beautiful and historic and is a hidden gem in Nashville! There are few like it! read more

My company, JPW Industries, had our annual sales kickoff meeting/event here in January 2017 with around 160+ attendees. The venue is rustic chic with plenty of room for setting up different areas for the event (bar area, classroom style seating with projector, dining tables, catered & buffet style tables). The event planner, Samantha Cocks, was easy to get a hold of, quick to respond to emails/calls, and very accommodating and helpful. Pricing was not over the top, like most venues, which was great and a rarity considering the location/close to downtown Nashville. There isnt any parking but they do have a valet service we used which worked just fine. They also do not have a full working kitchen but that was fine since we had our food catered. Overall, everyone had a good time, we made it through without any hiccups, and my boss was happy which is what matters most. read more

We chose Houston Station as a venue for a donor recognition event for a non-profit organization. We started out by being able to be discounted because of being non-profit, which helped us significantly. We have a particular group of people who come to this event, and Samantha and her team helped us create the perfect feel for this group. Every detail was made sure to have the right look and fit our donors' taste. From helping us choose linens (but allowing us to have our own opinions,) to helping print off documents in her office in the middle of setting up (THANK YOU) we couldn't have been happier with the way our evening turned out. We had event staff on site, including the woman who owns the venue. It was refreshing to have been taken care of so closely and carefully during the entire day when a lot of times, renting a venue is specifically just renting the space. We had the pleasure of being helped throughout the set up, event, and tear down. MANY of our donors were extremely pleased with the evening-saying they thought it was the best one we've had yet. We strongly recommend this venue for just about anything. We had the pleasure of visiting while it was empty, while it was set up for our appreciation event, and even while it was set up for a wedding. This venue is a great spot for anything on your list. read more

We held a school fundraiser at Houston Station that included an auction, dinner and band. Samantha was outstanding in her help with planning and with coordinating vendors who brought in tables, chairs, linens etc. She had fabulous ideas and guided us seamlessly in the planning process. We have had rave reviews from many attendees! As chairman, it was such a pleasure to work with such a well run venue that offered beautiful decor, convenient lcoation with valet and great use of GOBOs! I recently had my wedding at Houston station and was very excited to find such a unique venue. We were working with Jeff and before we signed the contract everything was great we were told we can make the space our own and put things where we want and we were also told that at the end of the night if valet was ready to leave and guest were not then they would place keys at the coat check and guest could grab them as they leave. Well we had a very rude awakening with Jeff!! Every vendor that we worked with from food to flowers was pissed off by Jeff and they said they did not ever want to work with him again on my rehearsal day Jeff decided to put my tables and food where HE wants and not go by the set plan that we had! We also had a planner that knew exactly how we wanted everything and he fought and argued with her all the way till the end of the wedding. He told her it was going to be a failure. I was in tears on the rehearsal day because I heard what he was doing and my mother had to talk to him for an hour to make him put the tables and food where we had originally planned. On the wedding day he gave the planner, caterers, florist, lighting, and me THE BRIDE and my family and guests HELL!!! I had to argue with him on my wedding day in front of everyone because he turned the lights on before we were ready to leave and he told me we would be charged extra to stay longer because of valet and I asked him about what he had told me before and he said he never said that! LIAR !!! While cleaning after the wedding he left food in the table cloths so we were charged extra for staining and told us we were not get all of our deposit back!!! After everything that had happened I can say that my wedding would have been perfect if not for Jeff he made it so much harder than it should have been and I will write lots of reviews and letters because I don't want another bride to have to go through the same thing on her wedding day! read more

I had my wedding at Houston Station on April 1st!!! IT WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! My husband and i switched venues 3 months before our wedding, so needless to say, I was a little stressed. Nate and I called Jeff 3 months prior to the wedding to see if there was availability in the date we were looking for and there was. We sheathed an appointment for the next day, paid our deposit, and were there for 2 hours and with the help of Jeff had our entire wedding planned!! (he did not charge us for any of that planning!). I did not have a wedding planner so I was communicating directly with Jeff and I think that helped. Our wedding was soooo perfect! All of the people we worked with that were recommended to us by jeff were so helpful, the valet, bartenders, servers, and especially Southern Events! Jeff even took down all of the lights that we purchased and hung ourselves to keep costs down. He came back the morning after the wedding and helped our families get the remaining things out of the venue ! Mine and Nate's whole family were so impressed. The venue and Jeff were amazing and I would LOVE to have another event there some day! read more
