This is probably the best "mini golf" experience we've ever had. The tech-infused game made things a lot more interesting and fun. They don't count shots - they tabulate points. The fewer shots you take, the more points you get - BUT, you can get points for hitting certain marks (like connecting four in the Connect Four game, or answering the Trivial Pursuit question correctly, etc). Each hole is creative and is more than just a putt. There are some downsides... to start, you have to park somewhere. It can be tough to find street parking, so you end up $20-some in the hole parking in a ramp. Downtowns...amiright? It was pretty busy when we were there - all the courses were packed. The first few holes were pretty slow, but things picked up a bit. I heard there was bar service out on the courses, but I didn't see any (though there were empty glasses and bottles on all the pub tables). With all that, the golfing was incredible and I would totally do it again. We only hit 9 holes (on a schedule - all we could do), but I'd be totally down to do their "all you can play" deal and make it a day. read more

What a cool experience this place is!!! It's a tech infused mini golf course/ restaurant. You can choose between 9 or 18 hole golf course. I chose the $32 9 hole experience for 2 people. I would say that I really liked it. It took about 30ish minutes to complete. We didn't get food or drinks because we planned on getting them at our next stop. While this place was lovely and fun, I didn't not like how it started for a hot sec. Originally, I purchased a Groupon for their 9 hole experience which was $27. I got my code and put it in the website. However, the website wouldn't accept it. So when I went to call the restaurant to see how to correct the issue, there was no answer for 5 calls and an left voicemail. So I decided to purchase another 9 hole experience on their website. This venue was so much fun! My friends and I visited on a Friday night and we dined in and then played mini golf afterwards. There was a good variety of options available, and the food was tasty. My only gripe with the food was that the onions were cut far too large, but otherwise everything was really good. The service was amazing throughout, and the server was very attentive and helpful, especially as it pertained to allergies. The check-in process to play the games were very seamless, and all of the staff was friendly and helpful. The golf courses are simply beautiful and very creative. Puttshack was a fun Sunday morning family activity. It'd be fun for a group of all ages or for date night too. This was our plan B so we arrived at opening without a reservation. It worked out, but I'd go with the option to book online to be safe in the future. For our family, two adults and two kids, it was about $50 to play nine holes. I saw that Sundays have an unlimited special for $25 per adult. We didn't take advantage of this since we have a two year old, but this is an awesome offer. We weren't sure how this would go with two kids, but it was fun. There were plenty of other families with kids. This was really fun for my six year old. My almost three year old ran out of energy, but played about half the holes with help. I was impressed by the putt putt course. I loved all of the additional challenges that could earn points. For example, one hole had trivia. If you were correct then you earn extra points. Other holes had certain spots where hitting the ball there would earn or deduct points. The technology in the course was nice. Especially the electronic scoring calculated by each players ball. There were at least three unique nine hole courses. Even though it was fairly busy we were able to play without long waits. They stagger tee times so it doesn't back up. We were curious about the food so we stayed there for lunch. The options were more exciting than we expected and we enjoyed the food. Pricing also seemed reasonable for the portions. We enjoyed The Gulch Flatbread, Gyro Sliders, and Lebanese Hummus. My daughter liked the Cheeseburger Sliders from the kids menu. Our waitress was friendly and the food came out without a long wait. Puttshack is a fun activity and I'd love to return! read more

I visited with my 8yo on a rainy Tuesday. It was her first time playing mini golf. She loved the courses (we played on each side) and enjoyed being able to play multiple rounds. There wasn't a huge crowd, but you can still be left waiting if the party ahead of you is too large. It makes for a fun time getting to know people and having some friendly competition. The best way to find the coolest places is to look on Maps and just graze over everything, that's how I found Puttshack! One thing led to another and while visiting my dad in TN, we made an afternoon trip to this very cool place. We don't have anything like Puttshack here in NC and man, this place would do so well in Raleigh. Wink wink, owners. Yes, we have interactive golf ranges but this?! This is amazing. There is a parking garage underneath Puttshack and like anywhere in Nashville, you have to pay for parking (which is expensive). We visited on a Sunday and weren't sure about having to pay on Sundays because nothing was listed on the walls. My husband and I risked it by not paying but unfortunately, my dad paid for his car to be parked underground. As for Puttshack itself, oooooh my gosh. You walk in and it's a classy place with a large bar and coat room. The fun is around the corners with different courses. On Sunday, only two courses were open but since there's a discount for doing a second round, we tried both. Your golf ball is connected to your name and the game and all of ours registered correctly to the amount of hits we made. Some of the courses are challenging but they're all fun. I especially loved the trivia games. The only complaint I have is that it gets pretty busy and some people are there to rush. The dad and son behind us were getting anxious for us to hurry up (we were a group of 4) and I definitely felt that pressure. There should be more courses open on Sundays so it doesn't get backed up. We didn't have any food but did order a couple of beers from the bar. The restrooms were clean and well stocked. Overall, we had a blast and would hands down come back again when we visit. It's such an interesting venue because it's just as fun for kids as it is for adults. (Note: kids would need to come early, not in the evening). I love that there's no old fashioned keeping score; everything is automated. And when we ate at the restaurant on an extreme time crunch because we needed to check out of our hotel, our waitress was understanding, kind, and extremely accommodating and made sure that the food was delivered to us quickly--even when it was really busy. Every single employee here deserves a raise. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. The bar was cool - bartender made me a delicious drink. We came in the early afternoon so it wasn't too busy. The actual gold courses were cute. A couple things I would say needs improvement though - first, several of the holes had motorized components that didn't work, so that was a bummer. We only had access to two courses, so we couldn't play more than 2. (Well, you could but that wouldn't be very fun). The temperature was way too warm inside. We ended up ordering a pepperoni buzz flatbread on a gluten free crust with no cheese, right before the kitchen closed. It was absolutely delicious and I loved the hot honey on it. They have 4 courses but 2 of them were closed due to it almost being closing time. The computer sent us to one of the courses that were closed so they ended up moving up in the system to another course. Fun concept, but execution falls short. We were excited to be locals living like tourists for a day off midweek. Thankfully, we found free street parking. The initial greeting was less than welcoming and actually quite frustrating setting up our game without any help or support. The overall playing experience was enjoyable and while the tech-driven mini-golf is a clever twist, we ran into several tech issues that were annoying. It also felt crowded in the middle of the week and mid day, so I cannot imagine what a night or weekend feels like. It was very self-led, staff is not really available. Happy hour is food only, wish they included some drinks, we decided to skip on food/drinks this time as it was too busy to try and order anything. We arrived with reservations around 8. Although we were a little early we only had to wait like 10 minutes. They split you up into a different color group, we were in Ruby which leads you to the area of your mini golf. It seemed like some of the holes in each color were different so if you wanted to play all of them you had to pay twice as each experience was only 9 holes. It ended up taking us about an hour to get through them with the amount of people ahead of us which was ok because we could take our time. The little mini games which were the holes were so fun and the tracking system for points was so cool. It's on the same vibe as top golf. My favorite was the pin ball which was hole 9! After golf we had reservations for some food at 9. There were so many empty tables we probably didn't even need it. We weren't that hungry so we started with drinks; I got an espresso martini and my husband got a Jack and Coke. Both solid. First off, the place is INSANELY busy, definitely book online beforehand. The games are a lot of fun and unique, even with a crowd everything is well organized and moves efficiently enough. The food was also amazing. However, the food is EXTREMELY overpriced, and the workers are friendly but not the most helpful. It took us forever to get our food and they brought us extra items we didn't order, and also didn't take the items off our bill or show us a bill, they just gave us a total and we had to get a refund for the incorrect items. It's not really clear how to check in to start golfing either, we spent a lot of time in lines just to get told to stand in another line. I'd still go again, expect to spend around $100 for 2 people just to play 2 mini golf courses and get some snacks. read more
