If you're looking for a princess for your lo's party, Ever After Princess Events is a must! If you're looking for a Rapunzel, no one can be more perfect than Arielle (lol, I know!). First, I don't ever write reviews because they are so time consuming. However, Arielle was so amazing I just had to. She arrived early to let me know exactly what to expect, and to discuss how we should introduce her. Arielle is just as adorable in real life! I was very afraid of who was coming but when I saw her, OMG she looked perfect. There's this sweetness and innocence to Rapunzel and she was all that and more. The heart wave started that day, but she didn't mind staying outside with the girls. Her makeup looked amazing still and the heat never seemed to bother her (unlike the rest of us). Poor thing went through storytime with a million interruptions, most not even related to the story hahaha-these are 4 year old girls. But she was graceful and kind to every interruption and stayed in character the entire time. Even when she saw Eugene's picture she said "they never really can get his nose right." I loved it! She did the crowning of the birthday princess before we sang happy birthday, and for an additional $10 we got a crown and wand set for the little sister! I highly recommend going through Ever After Princess Events for your next party. After the first initial step of signing documents, you won't hear from them until a few days before the event. So don't worry! I kinda freaked out a bit with me being the person who likes to have control of the party details. My daughter and our guests had a wonderful time with Krista, our Hogwarts wizard. My daughter loves Harry Potter and Krista did a wonderful job bringing the Wizarding World to life. She came on time, greeted all the kids, did a fun sorting hat ceremony, and engaged not with only the kids, but the grown-ups, who wanted to participate. The kids especially loved the lesson on spells, using wands she brought with her. Face painting was fun, but I would recommend she bring examples on paper for the kids to choose. Because they asked her to do a few images that she wasn't too comfortable, but she attempted to paint. Then she stayed for cake and pictures with everyone. After a bad experience with another company (they cancelled on us suddenly and claimed they were booked after we had already confirmed our event with them and sent out the invitation) we scoured the internet for a company in the Los Angeles area that could do a Harry Potter-themed birthday party for our 6 year old daughter with only a couple weeks notice. Ever After Princess events not only came through and were very professional and organized, but they also have a wonderful philanthropic philosophy where they talk to the children about kindness and donate a portion of the event costs to charity. Daylan was our Hogwarts wizard student and she did a wonderful job, performing a sorting hat ceremony, teaching the kids some wizard spells, and doing face paint. Our daughter said it was her funnest birthday ever. They are very reasonably priced as well. They are based in Orange County, so it was a little far from us in West LA and we had to pay a mileage fee, but even with that it was still cheaper than some of the other companies we looked at and the quality of the performer and the costume was very high. I absolutely cannot say enough good things about Ever After Princess, and I am known to be a tough critic. I hired the fabulous Maddie Rose to be Mary Poppins at my daughter's sixth birthday party. My daughter has been obsessed with Mary Poppins for the last year or so and knows both the original movie and the sequel by heart. We are also former Disney pass holders who are used to high quality performances and character interactions and I can honestly say that Maddie Rose was even better than any character we have ever met walking down Main Street. Both the costume and the talent were superb. One mom even turned to me and said, "Did you hire the real Julie Andrews to be here or what!?!" And my dad asked me if I hired an actual Disney cast member. Maddie Rose arrived promptly and stayed in character the entire time. She was "practically perfect" at capturing the conflicting lovability that is Mary Poppins--snark and wit mingled with sweetness. Her singing story time was the most awesome thing I have ever seen. The way she intermingled all of the top songs from the movie in her story left the girls spellbound and the moms impressed. She had them out of their seats dancing to Stepin' Time and loudly singing A Spoon Full of Sugar as she tied in a quick lesson about the importance of cleaning their rooms (ha!). From there she went into a lesson on kindness and manners and taught them all to curtsy, which was adorable. She did photo ops with the group and each girl individually, and gave them each a glitter tattoo (which was a huge hit). I also added on the Kindness Star craft, which the girls really loved. I did this instead of favor bags, and getting to make a craft with Mary Poppins seemed to be a memorable and fun experience for them. A few of them even asked her to autograph their stars, which she happily obliged. Maddie Rose led us all in the singing of Happy Birthday before presenting my daughter with a few gifts--a kindness wand and a birthday crown, which she will treasure forever. And then she bid the girls farewell and magically whisked herself away. I love that she never seemed rushed, she paid close attention to any girl who was engaging with her, she made my daughter feel special and she brought an air of magic that was reminiscent of what Mary Poppins brought to the Banks family in the movies. I think my daughter offers the best endorsement there is: "For my next birthday I want exactly the same party. If I woke up and found out today was just a dream I would be really sad." I found Ever After Princess Events on Google and everything about the experience was perfect. My initial interactions with Taylor were not just professional and thorough, but also kind and even funny. Another reviewer said it was like talking to a friend and I couldn't agree more. She usually calls to confirm all the details 5 days before the event, but I was out of the town and out of cell service, but she kindly accommodated the confirmation until I returned. Before getting to the princesses, I will mention that I live in LA and Ever After is located in Orange County. Taylor said there would be a gas surcharge for the extra mileage. Let me just say that after looking at all the pictures of the princesses and listening to the vocal recording samples on the website, I was MORE THAN HAPPY to pay the extra money. Based on the packages, I asked my daughter if she wanted to have her hair done (in which case I would have ordered the mane event) or have 2 princesses, and she chose 2 princesses. So, I asked for the mermaid princess (with tail and seashell top) as well as the snow queen. Courtney (Ariel) and Celeste (Elsa) were absolutely perfect! For my daughter's fifth birthday, rather than asking for presents, she told me she wanted a big, awesome party, with a princess, and her friends, and a very happy time. After reading reviews and researching local companies, I found Ever After Princess events, and let her see the princesses that she could have come and visit she fell in love with the Moana character. Because her party was in the summertime on a weekend, I was concerned about spaces booking up, so we reserved a couple of months in advance. I had almost immediate contact from the company once I put in an inquiry, and was able to pay them a deposit, sign forms for the princess we wanted, and arrange everything seamlessly from my house. As the time went by, there were no issues w/ a confirmation the week of the party, and all communications were extremely friendly and flexible- the actress who plays the Moana character, Capri, is probably the prettiest woman that I have ever seen in real life, and I've been to awards shows with Megan Fox and other famous actresses, and she blows them away. I met Capri outside of the mall to help her come to the venue with as little distraction by other kids (outside of the party) as possible, she was ten minutes early, extremely friendly/personable, and an immaculate representation of her character both with the kids and anyone we passed en route to the location. Once inside of the party, the kids swarmed her. There were 10-12 children present, and I scheduled her portion of the party during the kids meal time. That put all of the kids together at one table, and as they ate lunch, she sang (beautifully), told them the story of Moana, and answered questions, gave hugs, etc. After lunch, I'd set up a picture area for the kids to take photographs with her. She took tons of pictures with the kids in bunches of different poses/groupings, and was very good with them all. My daughter was enchanted by her from start to finish. After the meal portion of the party, we brought out the cake, and Moana/Capri sang her a happy birthday song, and crowned her the birthday princess and brought her a special magic wand. I helped Moana/Capri find her way out afterwards, with beauty counter staff staring at her (as I said, she's BEAUTIFUL), and she was just as friendly to me at the end of the party as she was at the beginning, despite having just spent the prior hour being on non-stop while swamped with kids. Juliette hasn't stopped talking about her since the party three days ago, and she's said that she's even more of Moana's biggest fan since she was able to meet her and Moana was so nice to her.
