They auto charged whatever they wanted on our card. 6 months ago we hired Simpson Pool after they came out to the house house, looked at our pool and quoted us $190 per month for weekly cleaning. Our first bill was $263. No warning about the price hike! We asked why the invoice was higher than the quote and they said "it's taking longer than we thought". Then they tell me if I want to get the price down to what I was quoted, we can buy a pool vacuum from them since ours "wasn't working." We agreed, weren't given any options for the vacuum and received a charge of nearly $600. Our bill never went down. When I asked they were super aggressive and rude in their emails, telling me I am wrong, telling me to "look at my invoice again because they are charging $255, not $263 (completely false and irrelevant)." The rude and dishonest interactions with this company and their auto charging whatever they decide deserves this review so hopefully no one else will experience this. To top it all off, after I put my foot down and didn't respond to another $577 charge for equipment (because ours is only 2yrs old) .. they sent me a generic email saying "we are no longer servicing your pool because we are condensing our routes." What a blessing that its over now and our new guy is great and charges $160 per month. Run as fast as you can from this company!

Manager Brian put me on hold for more than 20 minutes when I called and I had to call him again by calling him with different phone, and he insisted the pool filter cleaning job is completed when the backwash switch had not pushed back completely to the original position after the filter cleaning. The picture here is showing the incomplete job, even his technician Nick told me that he needs come back to finish the job by replacing O-ring on the day of my pool filter got cleaned.

Ken came to clean the neighbors pool. The neighbor has room for about 8 cars / trucks in their driveway. Instead of Ken parking in the customers driveway or on the main street, Ken chose to park behind my driveway and make it difficult, if not impossible, for us to exit our driveway while his truck was parked behind it. As the Neighbors had just moved in, I *assumed* that Ken would be back and apparently didn't know he was 1) parked in a NO parking Alleyway; 2) blocking us in which could result in damage to my vehicle or his; and 3) it's garbage day and our garbage and the neighbor's garbage would not be picked up while his truck was blocking and parked in the NO parking alley. I'm not sure what was wrong with Ken today, but he literally said "I call Bullshit" that this is an alley and that I can't park here - and insinuated - you should be able to maneuver out of your driveway. I've lived here for 12 years. The Alley is not a public street because it is not WIDE enough to be a public street. Hence why it is a no Parking Alley. When I suggested he actually park in the neighbors driveway - which had PLENTY of room - he asked if he was "allowed" to park in their driveway???? Given the choice of parking behind a someone's driveway - potentially setting him and us up for accidental damage to our vehicles or actually parking in a clients driveway - his choice was to swear at me, basically call me a liar and be exceedingly rude.... Yep - this is a guy who takes customer service seriously, right ?

In addition to being a bit rude, they're also grossly incompetent. Our filter needed to be repaired last November, and Travis initially told me exactly which part to order from Amazon, which ended up being the wrong part -- that I was unable to return, to the tune of $450. He then "kindly" replaced our filter with a used one, but apparently he used the wrong filter type for our plumbing, so this filter has been literally running backwards for the last 7 months. When I complained that the pool was frequently turning green a few weeks ago, he blamed my controller and basically said that I needed to be running everything manually (pump, valves, heater), which seemed ridiculous. He claimed my controller has "been the problem the whole time", but had never once mentioned that to me before that conversation. Needless to say I fired him after that conversation. Since then, we discovered the backwards plumbing issue with the filter he installed, and confirmed that the controller works perfectly fine. I reached out to Travis about the filter issue and unsurprisingly got no response. The guy is a $150/hr "technician" who doesn't know an inlet from an outlet and makes up fake excuses for his mistakes. You might be lucky enough to have an easy pool that one of his employees can keep looking nice, but if you need technical competence, or customer service, I'd avoid these guys.

Five stars for sure! I was referred to C2C by my pool cleaner, as my outdated system needed…read moresignificant maintenance. New house for me, but this 20+ year old system was installed by the previous owner and had an unknown maintenance record. Brian made a quote for a replacement heater (old one was beyond serviceable, with no parts available), controller (upgrade to wifi) and pump (old one quite leaky) based on photos that were shared. But when he got to the house and began to dismantle the old system, it became clear that other parts - the actuators and filter - were also faulty. He wasn't making it up - I could easily see the troubles he pointed out. And further, the original installation was done dangerously, with wiring problems and code violations. At this point we were both frustrated of course. More money, more time. After reviewing the situation, Brian presented several options with pricing, and we took a day to think it through. In the end, he was able to properly rewire the pool controller from the main house circuit panel, and I believe the resulting charges were reasonable. At each step, Brian explained the decision to be made and possible outcomes. He was trustworthy. I didn't choose to make all of the changes that were recommended - the pool lights don't all work and won't any time soon. But I have a solid estimate of what that will take and a reliable company to go to when it is time. Brian at C2C will explain the pool systems, stay in good contact during the job, show up when he says he will, and be sure the job is finished professionally. I appreciate the work he did!

While I was at Leslie's Pool Supply to buy a new Power Pack for $449.99, an experienced pool guy, asked me about the fuse in the old power pack, I confessed I did not check it. When I returned home, I found that indeed the fuse had blown. I went online to Amazon and purchased 18 fuses for $6.99. That was my problem. So essentially, I bought a 40-cent part to fix the problem. I definitely would NOT recommend Distinguished Pools.

Payan Pool Service has been servicing our HOA for one month. It is a step function improvement…read more They are knowledgeable and communicate any necessary repairs. Rudy at Payan performed a repair today. The water had been previously shutoff, and after the repair he turned the water on. It created a "rushing" water noise unrelated to the repair. He contacted me and about the unrelated issue and resolved it.
