Funny story. My daughter in TN has a friend in CA where we live. I told her the frustrating search that we were having in finding a roofer after interviewing 6 of them. Her friend had just had her roof done and she recommended Chris and his team to my daughter. We had to wait a few months, but it was so worth it. We have solar, so that had to be dealt with also. Everlast Roofing and Gutters was affordable, flexible and skilled. They do not have a minimum charge so are able to work with homeowners with small jobs. A handful of my mother's 40+ year old roof's concrete tiles were slipping and broken. Everlast worked with my scheduled trips to my mother's, providing an estimate and then scheduling the repair when I was there. Everlast was punctual, fixed the problem--even replacing the broken roof tiles with ones from their inventory of aged tiles so the repair is not apparent (this is in contrast to a prior roof repair by another company!)--and showed me before and after photos of the repair made on the second story. The whole crew arrived early on Monday and worked all day removing the old flat roof. Tuesday was for the inspector. They started early on Wednesday morning and worked through until 5:30. I had thought it would take all week but they were almost finished on Wednesday with a few things to finish up on Thursday morning. Everlast Roofing is fantastic - they are quick to schedule, very responsive, and thorough when it comes to their roofing work. I was referred to Chris at Everlast by my contractor, who spoke very highly of Chris and his work. I called and had a quote within 24 hours for our job, which included repairing some previous patchy work around flashings and ducts as well as applying a fresh layer of Enviroproof Acrylic coating to both the house and the garage. We recently bought a house with a flat roof, and we noticed some leaking through the ventilation ducts during the last few months of heavy rain. We were glad to hear that Chris recommended applying the new coating and torch-down roofing in the areas that needed patching, instead of needing a completely new roof. This saved us money in the short term, and Chris assured us that their service would extend the life of the roof by another 6-7 years. Our house is not very big, but this was still a large and pretty involved job. Chris called the day before to let me know that the workers would arrive the next morning, and they arrived right on time at 7AM as he had stated. The guys were quick to unload all of their equipment, and got right to work. They split up so they could work on the detached garage and house at the same time, and all I needed to do was show them where the water spigot and power outlets were so they could power wash the roof. After that, I worked from home until they finished around 2:30pm. They made sure to show me the work they have performed to make sure they had everything covered, which they did. They were very detailed and thorough, and the roofs came out looking pristinely clean, white, and well-covered. They even detached one of our gutters and completely cleaned out the backed-up dirt, the replaced it perfectly as they found it. We are excited to have this fresh coating and a clean roof! It will likely decrease our energy bill by keeping the temperature of the roof down to a minimum in the coming summer months. Additionally, we can be assured that if any water is coming into the house at this point, it is an issue with the heating/cooling system. I would recommend this company to anyone with roofing needs. Obviously we have a flat roof and I am only speaking from the experience of being a first-time homeowner. That said, Chris and his guys did a great job educating us, scheduling the job, and completing it with professionalism and attention to detail. Everlast recently replaced all the rain gutters at my NoHo rental property. Their pricing was competitive but what made me pick them out of the four companies I had put for an estimate was the time that Chris, one of the owners spent walking the property with me pointing out rotting wood and reasons the old gutters weren't doing that good of a job. Chris offered an affordable solution for replacing the rotting wood and giving the new gutters something strong to adhere to. I was nervous about how this job would turn out because I wasn't going to be in town when the gutters were replaced. Chris reassured me he would be there when the job started and make certain it was done to the specifications we discussed. I called him several times leading up to and during the job installation - and each time he answered his phone, knew exactly who I was and addressed my concerns with friendly professionalism. This company cares about their reputation and takes pride in their work. My house wasn't a huge job- it's a 1300 sf 1950s ranch house but Chris afforded me & my abode the same respect and quality of work he'd undoubtedly give more upscale residences.
