I really thought these guys would in a stand alone building with more character. That's where they belong in my opinion. They are better than their location. I got the Brookie Monster with mint chocolate chip. My son got the Dirt Cup Sundae and my wife got a cup of the mint chocolate chip. We all liked our desserts very much. For me, I was surprised I like the brownie more than the chocolate chip cookie. Also, with the Brookie Monster having both a brownie and a cookie (big cookie), the ice cream ratio was off. Not enough. Perhaps I could have added a scoop? I recommend you do that if you order this. The owners were not there but they seem like really nice and down to earth folks. Recommend.

The restaurant is located inside a strip area and was very cute inside, so while waiting for my shake, I decided to take photos. My shake my ready shortly after and even though nobody was in the restaurant except me, the young lady that prepared my order made me walk near the back of the restaurant to pick up my order (which is where you pick up, but literally no one was inside)! Once I walked back, she then inquired if I was taking pictures and the tone felt a little interrogational. I immediately responded that I was, but not of her. She then said something to which I didn't hear and I left. Honestly I left feeling a little embarrassed, I've never had anyone questioned if I was taking a photo. My shake was very flavorful and light which I enjoyed. However, 2 hours later I felt the worse pain in my stomach and to be as nice as possible. I spent the rest of the day until Thanksgiving morning in the bathroom. The shake was good, but the after effects and the mediocre service was not worth it.

Well, I finally managed to order a Waffle Cone w/ Vanilla (which I had to repeat FOUR times...not sure why, but I was speaking clear English, with ZERO accent....yet the girl just wasn't listening to me AT ALL?!?!?). The meal started off with an iced rosemary lavender latte crafted with their in house syrup made with cane sugar and fresh herbs. Rosemary and coffee has been a revelation to my palate and I'll be back for this alone. Which I will happily enjoy in this comfortable and cute dining area. Breakfast was made to order from fresh ingredients, piping hot and intentionally seasoned. As their bright and cheerful owner puts it, the main ingredient is love. And trust me, you can taste it. This is the first time in my two decades of eating tofu that I can actually shoutout how delicious it is. And the aromas coming of this photogenic waffle were mouthwatering. While Charlotte has become over run with corporate and copy cat restaurants, it is truly a thing of comfort to enjoy a delicious meal made by good people that care not only about what's on the plate, but who is eating from it. 6 stars
