Fresh ingredients. Cooked to order. Clean dining area. Good value. We were passing through on I-77 and found this place to stop for dinner on a Thursday night around 6PM. Busy place, but plenty of space to dine in. My bride and I both ordered chicken hibachi bowls (one with double protein). The bowls came up piping hot right off the grill and they were super fresh and tasty. Friendly staff and service. Great spot.....highly recommend. read more

So I was excited to try this place since I keep seeing reviews on tiktok about this Burrito Roll . Drove from Charlotte it looked delish. First there is no burrito roll on the menu it's the California roll. Second the young lady said it'd be 30 mins to make this :( This is why I drove here to try this but i was hungry so I just got a poke bowl create your own. Now I watch my sodium & was so happy to see you could get coconut aminos on your food. Well scratch that the young lady said you could only do that with the hibachi ‍ Now that being said my food was good tried the chicken dumpling they were good. To me it was just another poke bowl place , if your in the Rock hill, SC area give them a try. Maybe do a call in order if you want the burrito roll aka California roll:) read more

As a Haloe I recommend this place. They are doing some real cooking and the service is efficient and polite. If you need a quick snack I recommend the spam musubi. It just reminds me of certain islands. It's an acquired taste, but who doesn't love spam? Don't be afraid to explore the rest of the menu. It's quick service but please show up with patience because they're really trying to do the thing right. What a wonderful addition to our neighborhood and I wish them well. FYI isn't not the best location so be careful with your car turns. Patience and politeness. Let's support them! read more

In the Rock Hill area for a tournament and our coach arranged a team lunch for the players and families at Katana Kitchen, so we could stay near the Sports Center. The decor is great with vivid black, white, and red accents throughout. The walk-up to order counter is adjacent to their partially open kitchen. The cashier and servers were so friendly, attentive, and helpful. Most items are prepared fresh to order, but the wait was not long at all. What we ordered: - Katana Shrimp bowl with fried rice, mixed vegetables, and sweet carrots - Teriyaki Chicken Bowl with onions, zucchini, and sweet carrots - Crab Rangoon - Miso Soup Unfortunately, I was initially brought the wrong soup. The server noticed it right away and went back to the kitchen to get the correct one. It took a long while for her come back, which I thought was odd. I figured there must be an issue with the soup. By the time the correct soup arrived, we had eaten our full order of crab rangoon and finished our bowls. At first glance, I noticed that the soup bowl appeared to have residue from the previous soup in it. I found it interesting that they apparently used the same cardboard bowl instead of getting a new one. After such a long wait and completing all other parts of our meal, I thought to just take the soup to-go, but wanted to give it a quick try before we left. I took 1 spoonful and the soup tasted sour. I thought it was perhaps due to the other items I had just eaten, so I cleansed my palate and took 2 more spoonfuls...the soup had an unpleasant, sour taste. I eat miso soup often...it has a standard taste in general. Never have I tasted a sour miso soup. So, I was afraid to consume any more of it and took the bowl up to the cashier to tell her about it. She immediately provided service recovery and offered to replace it or to ask for a refund. When I told her that we were leaving and I didn't have time to wait for them to prepare a replacement, she gladly offered to find a lead, so I could be refunded. The lead came to the counter and was very kind. She advised that she needed a manager to override the refund amount ($4.36). The manager arrived with a smile, but then began to reprimand me for wanting a refund and insisted that the miso soup did not taste sour and was not spoiled. She went on to refund me the $4.36 begrudgingly...but she did do it...and all with a smile. Outside of that aspect of our meal and experience, everything else we ate was delicious and filling and priced well. read more

They just recently opened so there is a little bit of work going on inside but it didn't affect the quality of service or the food. I had a steak and scallop hibachi bowl w/ broccoli, zucchini, sweet carrots and quinoa brown rice. Throw your sauce on top and give it a good mix w/the rice and it's a flavor explosion. I am really excited to have a place I can go to local for some decent-quick-flavorful hibachi. Looking forward to trying some other items on the menu. I tried to highly very popular sushi burrito! This was a winner in my book! Crunchy on the outside and yummy California roll ingredients on the inside! Plus a delicious yum yum sauce drizzled on top and a little extra on the side. The server was friendly and I didn't have to wait very long for my order. The atmosphere is indoor dining only. My only regret is not being able to patio dine because that's my preference. I will definitely be back to try other menu items! read more

I visited this restaurant after seeing a picture of the Crunchy Cali-Rito in the Rock Hill Eats group. It looked so flavorful (which it was) and I had to have it. The restaurant is clean, modern yet casual while the staff were very friendly. On my visit I tried the Spicy Kimchi Fries, which were beyond enjoyable. There was a plentiful amount of meat and fries and I loved the sauces. The Crunchy Cali-Rito was AMAZING. Packed with flavor with a super fresh taste. It's available only on Wednesdays, so I have to make a special note to myself to return on that day to get it. read more

Glad to try out this great new restaurant. Took my family of five. We all ordered chicken rice bowls and my husband ordered the poki bowl. Restaurant was clean and tidy and all the employees were helpful and friendly. Food was priced well and everything was delicious. I will definitely be back. One thing for me with my food, and my daughter said the same was, there was too much sauce. I think next time id just ask for less or request it on the side. Otherwise, all is great. We went on the recommendation of my son and he was absolutely right! This place was amazing and replaced our beloved Japanese restaurant that closed several years ago! The regular build your own bowl is huge and the leftovers allowed all of us to get a second meal for the next day. Prices were great. My girls got the fried Oreos with ice cream and the apple pie wontons with ice cream and they were so good! We will definitely be back. (It is an order at the front,receive a number and they will bring to your table.) And....we don't really do sodas and were beyond grateful that they gave us a normal size cup to get water in. We loved this place!! This is such a great addition to Rock Hill. It's like the chipotle of hibachi! I got the teriyaki bowl and my wife got the hibachi bowl, both were incredible in their own ways! The teriyaki bowl had a little more of a sweet glaze to it where the hibachi bowl was a saltier soy sauce base. The people were so nice, and knew how to recommend things! The store itself is a cute blend of modern and traditional. Great atmosphere! 10/10 recommend trying it!! As of September 2025, they are still in their soft opening - so remember that when you go in. May be the highest quality and best cooked chicken for a hibachi style restaurant I've ever had. And that includes the sit down cook in front of you places like Sakura (RIP), Fuji Japan, Nakatos and Kabutos. Only recommendation would be on the sauces. Probably would be better to automatically put your sauce choice on the side or if not, make sure it's thinly spread evenly throughout the dish. It was heavily concentrated on the veggies and it was a thicker sauce than traditional hibachi style but that's the only complaint I had. And even still, the sauce had a very nice flavor so using the word complaint probably isn't even accurate. read more
