The young lady who rang me up mixed up my order (a smoothie) and gave it to another individual who drank out of it. Another employee said, "That's the Sunrise Sunset with spinach" (which is what I had). I overheard them having this conversation, but they didn't think I heard it. Less than one minute later my smoothie was done, and I asked the young lady if she made a new one. She said yes. I told her that was impossible. She repeated that she did make it over, but when I asked her co-worker if she made it over, she quietly shook her head no (please give this young lady a raise or something for being honest). I usually have grace for fast food establishments getting my order wrong, but this was absolutely UNACCEPTABLE and UNSANITARY. We have recently become addicted to Tropical Smoothie Cafe. On our most recent visit, I got the Baja Chicken Bowl and my husband got the Baja Chicken Wrap. I've had the wrap before and loved it, but I love the bowl even more! We also split a mango berry cosmo smoothie - mango, strawberries, cranberries, and lime. This is unfortnately a seasonal smoothie, but it was fantastic. I've had some other smoothies that were really good, but we couldn't get enough of this one. Service was fantastic and quick. My grandson and I always go into the Tropical Smoothie at Tega Cay because we take Tae Kwon Do with Tiger Kim's right next door! We have never had this Youth take our order and he must've been 15 or 16 yrs. old. There was no problem when he took our order, but when he laid the drinks down I asked him (because I had my hands full) which drink was which! Update: the service here has gone downhill, but the food and smoothies are still about the same. I have changed to what I order so the food options are great. The curbside option must be "optional" to the employees. Today, like quite a few of my previous visits, I chose the curbside option after ordering from the app. Lately, it's like a roulette wheel. Which will I get today, will I actually get curbside or will I actually have to go inside and see my order waiting on the counter. Today, like most days, I had to go inside to find my order already prepared. I checked to see how many people were working and how many people were in the restaurant. One customer was there who was waiting on their order and there were 4 employees. One was making the food and 2 looked like they were collecting the trash to take outside. BUT there was one was walking around not doing anything until I got my order and said my name followed by, "I ordered in the app for curbside pick up." I ordered a meal on 5/12/24 to be delivered to my home. This location uses door dash as its delivery service if you use the tropical smoothie app. The meal never showed up. I called the store and they claimed to have no record of the order to cancel it. I contacted door dash, which explained the order had been cancelled by the driver due to a delay, but the credit would have to come from tropical smoothie since it was purchased through their app. Tropical smoothie claimed that since they had no record of the order it could not be cancelled. I have opened a dispute through American Express since they did in fact charge me. This store stole money from me, made no effort to reimburse me and now I'm having to go through my credit card company. This is awful customer service and I will never do business with this merchant again. Stay clear of this location. read more

I've never been here before but I'm sure glad I did. The owner is very friendly and super helpful. We ordered food to go for our office and was very pleased. Chocolate chip cookies are delicious. I got the peaches and silk smoothie which has peaches, strawberries and banana. It was so good!! Very filling too. It had the right amount of ingredients! Everyone that got a smoothie really enjoyed it! I got the baha flat bread with chicken and it was good! Had peppers and red onions in it with a southwest ranch sauce. Bread was soft and fluffy. The flatbread sandwich was amazing, did I say how AMAZING it was, and the pairing that the gal picked for me was awesome. Another thing I like is when I can go into a food location and the person taking the request can suggest something. Many places you go to they stare at you like a deer in headlights. If you work there, unless you have a food allergy, the company should make you taste it free of charge so you can acquit yourself with the products you are to sell! It's a breakfast Chia smoothie but I think it's good for anytime of day. My pics show the exact ingredient but from memory it has chia seeds, roasted bananas, coconut. almonds, whole oats, dates and cinnamon and then you can decide to add peanut butter or two other fruit choices that I can't recall. I chose Peanut Butter. I could seriously go back everyday to have that. Try it! My daughter had the Blimey Limey and it was nice and limey. Called to tell them my order was wrong and they let it ring each time I called. They finally answered at 5:50 saying "we're closed stop calling" yet you don't close until 6? The girl on the phone marisa refused to give me a refund, or fix my food. She claims she doesn't get paid enough to help me. She also stated she's the best employee according to her manager Alex. She continued to cry and say I don't get paid enough, I can't help you, and I don't care. She was extremely unprofessional and rude. Oh and to top it all off she hung up on me! TSC used to be my family's favorite smoothie cafe, and we went multiple times per week. The protein smoothies with added vitamins were great after my two oldest children had their wisdom teeth removed a the same time. In the last couple months though, the service has continued to go downhill. IN addition to receiving the wrong orders, or only partially correct orders, we've had multiple poor service interactions with one particular employee, N. We've witnessed the same employee degrade other employee's while customers were in TSC, and that's really disappointing. Last time I went, we did not realize they weren't open yet when we walked in but they served us anyway. It's in a shopping center right behind the Taco Bell, with very friendly staff and tons of options to enjoy and eat. Today, I went with the Blimey Limey which is a mix of strawberries, pineapple, orange and lime. Easily one of my favorite smoothies here...when I'm feeling super "healthy" I get it Splenda which knocks off some calories but not to worry the blend of fruits make it sweet enough and it's the perfect size more then enough to leave you satisfied. But this place has much more than just smoothies! There are tons of wraps and salads and sandwiches. The pizzas were only okay, but the kids didn't seem to care. They shared a Blimey Limey smoothie, which was delicious! I have been meaning to try TSC, considering I live across the street. Several years later I finally made it a point to pick up a wrap since I had a coupon for a wrap and a side. Upon entering, it just seemed really dark inside. I was not really greeted at all, just a frowny faced young girl waiting to take my order. I placed my order to-go then grabbed a seat to wait. The wrap was made fairly quickly. I did not check it before leaving because she was seriously not friendly and I'm pretty sure bad things would've happened if I asked for something else or god forbid something with the order was wrong. When I got out to my automobile I happened to notice I was not given the side item I had chosen.. Again - NOPE, not going back inside just to get a small bag of chips with that sort of poor customer service. I take good customer service seriously and something such as that will steer me to a competitor. I do have to say, though, the jerk chicken wrap was very tasty. (Which probably helped bump this review from 2 to 3 stars) I did not purchase a smoothie so I cannot comment on that part of the business. read more

I was already a devoted customer that was accustomed to stopping each day at one of the multiple locations that were available to me. I was thrilled to discover Tropical Smoothie in Tega Cay. I stop every morning. I recently was back in VA for a week and realized that the location in Tega Cay is by far the best one; due to extra care that is given each day when I call my drink order in. The staff is top notch and go out of their way to make sure your happy. I feel like Norm or Cliff from Cheers when I walk in the door because they know my name and take the time to interact and ask about your day.
