    Chick 'N Ditch the Waffle

So my mother absolutely loves this place and has been harassing me for months to join them for breakfast. So last week I joined them. So when you first go in you stand in line with a bunch of menus available so you can look it over while you wait. Also, as you near the cash registers there is a window that allows you to see them making the dough and cutting the biscuits. I allowed my parents to place their order as I was gonna order separate. After placing my order I didn't get a number to take to our table like my parents. I was told it was put under my parents number. ok whatever. So there is a pretty good amount of benches and chairs in store and there is a covered outside area to sit as well. By the time we made our own drinks and took our seats it wasn't long before my parents food came out. I ordered my food after so I wasn't too worried that mine didn't come out with theirs but I was watching the kitchen door and I saw the runner with my order looking around for a number I wasn't given. As she approached I told her it was mine and she just gave it to me. Glad I'm honest or anyone probably could have gotten my breakfast. So I ordered the pancake corndog with a maple mayo sauce? I hate mayo so regular syrup would have been better for me. The sausage on a stick wrapped in pancake batter was very good, especially when dipped in regular maple syrup. I'm not sure I was getting "corn" in the pancake but maybe it was more in name only. Either way it was very tasty. My main breakfast item was the Chicken N Ditch the Waffle. So basically a nice piece of fried chicken and a biscuit but with a twist as the biscuit was "French Toasted". I felt that the biscuit was dense and even though it was "French Toasted" I wasn't getting a lot of that flavor coming thru. I think I would have preferred the waffle. Overall the food was good. It came out hot and quickly. Will I be back, probably not because for me the price was a bit high. The $10 for the pancakes and sausage wasn't bad but the $15 for what was basically a chicken biscuit? No thanks. Please check them out for yourself because they have lots of variations to try and like my mom, this might be your new favorite breakfast place!

What's not to love about this fast casual place that is focused around great biscuit sandwiches? A bit of a challenge for me on a keto diet but they do an amazing omelet. Mrs. K. chose the Frenchie's which was a French-toast styled biscuit topped with fruit and sugar and whipped cream. I thought it looked great, she really enjoyed it. The inside-out "T-Bird" omelet was delicious. Shredded turkey, cheddar, onions, roasted tomatoes and a spicy poblano sauce with a sliced avocado. Delicious! And Mrs. K. enjoyed my home fries. Clean, brightly lit, great service. I would eat at Biscuit Belly again. [Review 732 of 2025 - 1296 in South Carolina - 24292 overall]

It was my birthday We had a pineapple mimosa and a lavender mimosa. So yummy !!
    Dawn R.

Came here at noon on Wednesday. I ordered the biscuits and sausage gravy ($10) with a lavender mimosa ($7). The biscuits were huge !!! They really do need to put more gravy on them to compensate. I'm guessing they don't split open the biscuits to keep them warmer. But if they would split them, the gravy to biscuit ratio would be much better. However, folks come check on you at the table and when they did, they noticed my biscuit was dry and needed gravy so they offered to bring more to the table, which was nice. The lavender mimosa was very good and so pretty! We also got the bonuts and you MUST get these. They remind me of a funnel cake in a donut-hole form. They give you a cheesecake cream cheese icing-type of dipping sauce and a strawberry jam sauce. Both were delicious. All I can say is that it is a good thing I don't live nearby, because I would be racking up pounds eating such wonderful hardy food on the regular ! The restaurant is very clean and bright... very breakfast diner-like. The plants in the restaurant are real ! The staff was very nice and chatty. We'll definitely be back !

How they turned a biscuit into a waffle baffles me! This spot is a must-try. I wasn't expecting it to be a counter service kinda spot but that did not take away from the experience. Have a look at the menu before heading in so you don't hold up the line. I had the chick 'n waffle and a strawberry mimosa, the large one. My husband had pancakes, bacon and fruit and he added scrambled eggs, washing it down with an old fashioned. Everything was amazing. I'm not sure what they seasoned my chicken thigh with or what was in that butter to make the flavors pop. I've never had a strawberry mimosa and have no idea what they used to flavor it with. It was super tasty. Hubby is an old fashioned snob so he wasn't overly impressed with his drink. We cannot wait to return and check out other locations.

Biscuit Biscuit is a fast casual restaurant for a Southern breakfast . The menu offers a variety of comfort foods. We placed our order at the counter and is was delivered to our table, Service was very good and everyone was very nice, including the manager who stopped by each table to check in ., I had the Love Shack- biscuit topped with brie, berries and pralines and drizzled with honey. The biscuits were light and fluffy. My husband had the T Bird- an omelette that is described as inside out. The food was prepared quickly, and was very good. This is a chain worth trying.

Stopped on a Thursday morning. The restaurant was half full. Yet it was very loud.. I notice the owner David was checking in everybody. And I asked if it's this loud but it's only half occupied. What it's like on the weekend when it's completely packed. He mentioned that it just how it is., As far as food. I got the Belly Plate: sausage, two eggs (over medium) and a biscuit. I like it. The biscuit tasted a little doughy but I like the crust: The sausage was very moist and thick.. The eggs were nicely done. I also had the bonuts with the jam which I like a lot. David and the many staffs were very attentive and helpful. Always made sure we had everything we need. And our plates were promptly taken away when we were done with it. A very big note: it's nice to see David the owner were among the staffs helping out. Not very often did you the owners among the staffs helping out.

Biscuit Belly is a medium sized restaurant, you place your order, find a seat and they bring the food to your table. The ambiance is pretty simple, nothing special. The food is pretty good but I didn't like the little piece of chicken with my biscuit French toast. The cheesy grits and home fried potatoes are seasoned and pretty tasty.

Great food, kind staff, fast service! The biscuit was huge and perfect with honey. Got the biscuit bowl plus eggs on top. Really good food!

Three for three in excellence at this breakfast/brunch spot. This was my third visit. My favorite is the bacon. They give you four nice pieces. My food came out at the same time I finished getting my self-serve coffee. My only advice to management is to notice seniors who may not want to get up for that second cup of coffee. If you provide a refill that would be awesome. This was a beautiful day and I love the windows and natural sunshade and lighting.

This was such a great brunch find! I met some girlfriends for brunch and it was so delicious! I didn't realize it was an order at the counter type of restaurant but it doesn't take away from the freshness and quality! I got the brekkie bowl and added an over easy egg. The goat cheese and spinach and caramelized onions went so great with the crispy potatoes. I also got a side of cheese grits. Be sure to get the Bonuts(Biscuit/Donuts) with the bourbon cream cheese frosting and housemade berry jam! We will definitely be back!

I was so excited once I read about Biscuit Belly since I grew up in northern Kentucky. To be less than ten minutes away from something that even mentions goetta or Heine Brothers coffee from Louisville. It was a great treat for Mother's Day. It was really crowded but the line moved fast. It's also fast casual so you order and then take a seat. The space feels open and bright. Ask a server for the Wi-Fi password in case you have a little one that needs their tablet. For my meal I got the Belly board with bacon, home fries, egg and a biscuit. I also ordered a side of goetta gravy. My husband got the smoke show. I also ordered a cold brew with oat milk. The portions were great and biscuit was huge. It was slightly crispy on the outside and very fluffy. It had a savory, but sweet taste. I've tried a lot of biscuits and this was the best biscuit I ever had. Everything was on point. Bacon was crispy, potatoes were flavorful and the goetta gravy added a punch of spices to traditional sausage gravy. Eggs were cooked exactly how I ordered them. We also ordered bonuts and they were tasty but I didn't have room for them. The coffee took me back to college where I used to go to Heine Brothers frequently. Servers were friendly. Overall a great experience and really tasty food. It's a little pricey, but tasted great!

Great service, delicious food, and quick! This place has been busy both times we've visited, but they run like a well-oiled machine. It's actually pretty impressive how quickly they are able to get people through the line, quickly fed, and turnover tables to accommodate the people that continue to flow in the door. From the outside, it can look like it will take forever when you notice the line that often forms or feel like there's going to be nowhere to sit with how busy it appears, but they really seem to have an efficient system to keep these things moving well. The nice young man at the door offers a menu as you enter that helps you make your mind up before you reach the register. The employees taking orders get things put in right away, and by the time you get your drink and find a table, the food doesn't take long to come out. I've been impressed each time, seeing as how busy they have been. They're also quick to clean the tables and keep things moving, so there seem to always be places opening up as the line to order moves. All that aside, the food is what's important. And it is great as well! The fresh biscuits are perfect, and the unique options offer something for just about everyone. We have enjoyed everything we've tried so far, so I don't think you can go wrong. My first trip, I made the mistake of ordering the one with the pimento cheese. Not because it wasn't good, but just because it was massive! Make sure you're good and hungry if you go that route. Next trip, I went with the goat cheese option, and it was good, although a bit messy. Hoping to try the gravy next time. All in all, it's a great breakfast/brunch option for this area. Customer service has been excellent, food is always hot and tasty, and it's surprisingly fast. It can be a little chaotic with how busy they get, but they help direct things well so it isn't overwhelming. This might not be the place for a nice, quiet meal to start your day if you're wanting to hang out and chat more, but if you're looking to grab a quick bite and enjoy the rest of your day, it's a great bet.

Pretty good breakfast spot on this side of town. We ordered pretty quickly and seated ourselves. The food came out fairly fast. My kids had the short stack pancakes and I had the brekkie bowl. I made it vegan by removing the cheese and added avocado.

The space is calm, comfortable, and set up in a way that makes it easy to linger, and I could see myself opening a laptop here for an hour or two without feeling rushed. The seating is arranged with enough breathing room that conversations don't echo, and the overall atmosphere leans more toward neighborhood café than anything corporate. It's the kind of place where you can hear the espresso machine but not the world outside, which is exactly what you want when you're trying to enjoy a cup without distraction. Everything we had was well prepared. Parking is plentiful, though I imagine the lot fills quickly before and after services, so timing might matter if that's a concern. For us, it was an easy in and out, and the visit felt like a small discovery in a part of Charlotte that doesn't have many independent coffee options. We left feeling grateful to have found a spot that delivers good coffee, quiet seating, and a sense of local character in Steele Creek. [Review 24 of 2026 - 4524 in North Carolina - 25215 overall]

I call the next day hoping to speak to a manager, I get the same "there's no manager on duty" I told them I thought I had food poisoning and wanted a refund and to speak with someone. The kid suggested I go to "biggby dot com and fill out a complaint because that would be quicker". I told him I'd prefer he write down my information because I'm a mom of 3 and I have food poisoning - I don't need to hunt down an email to speak to someone about getting a refund. (Hindsight he never shared my information because I never got a call) I ended up going online to fill out a complaint. Got the full run around, the owner reached out and apologized - asking questions about the visit and then radio silence for 5 days. I reached back out appalled it had taken almost a week to hear back. The owner got an attitude - saying they had a family emergency and they would refund me. TLDR: go literally anywhere else for coffee, you'll save money and you won't get the wrong type of milk in your coffee.
