Clear communication and attention to detail are important, especially for a project of this cost and visibility. The crew was courteous and respectful throughout the job, which we appreciated. However, the lack of communication regarding the final finish--particularly the curb edge--was disappointing. Had we been informed ahead of time that it wouldn't be flush, we could have addressed it before completion. Once the job was finished, it felt like follow-up and customer satisfaction were no longer a priority.

I was told they could help with both and would schedule a consultation. The consultant -- very pleasant -- arrived early to do measurements. He said he did not work with tile but that he'd get the necessary information. He also said he'd send an estimate by that evening or the next morning. Two days later I called and was told the estimate would arrive that evening. The estimate for the hardwood floor came but nothing on the tile. I was told that estimate would be emailed that evening. It wasn't When I called, I was told that the tile person said we had a "grout problem" and the floor would have to be replaced. Nothing about the marble. The estimator then said he'd have their chief tile installer come out. He told me wife they don't clean tile and that the shower floor needs to be replaced and that it looks like we have a leak but he couldn't find one. It appears their goal was to get us to replace our main floor and shower floor in the master bath. We are not going to do business with them.

I am in a townhouse community in North Suburbs of Minneapolis, we have a property manager that only…read moreuses AllStar Construction and Maintenance Company LLC located out of Eden Minnesota. Both Cedar Management and AllStar Construction and Maintenance started in our community 2019. AllStar started on rebuilding decks at this time. my deck was done in the fall of 2019 and after deck completed I am on 3rd dryer after managment stating dryer vents cleaned by vendor 7/2023. Finally had company come out that I purchased new speed queen dryer from and learned that they had blocked dryer vent by over 50%. I got City involved and out of 80 decks they have done not one has received a final inspection and no response after City tried reaching them numerous times to get finals done. Not only that they are dealing with duct work under my deck and do not have a license through the State of MN for HVAC which duct work is considered. I have been dealing with this issue for 2 years now and it is still not resolved. Either Cedar Management or AllStar should be paying for all damages and of course they either want to blame homeowner or make the Assoication pay for damages. They have not done correct work and need to come back to due finishes on my deck including caulking j channel under deck which could cause water issues (mold), My dryer exhaust vent got disconnected which could be a fire hazard not to mention carbon monoxide poisoning. If you come across either of these companies run the other way!!!
