OMGNOMNOMNOMNOM This is probably, hands down, the best Indian meal I've ever had. The flavors are fresh and deep and delicious. Order what I did, or do whatever, I doubt you can go wrong!

John and I deep into all the food choices and loving every bite!

Loved it! Very friendly service and we enjoyed talking to the staff. We loved all the choices at the noon buffet. What was amazing is that everything had its own flavor and textures. Loved this as often buffet food can all taste the same. We will be back!!

I am so glad we randomly wandered in here after a long afternoon of driving! While looking for something vegetarian friendly in Sioux Falls, we ran across this restaurant. We went here the first day we were in Sioux Falls, simply because we drove by it on the way to the hotel, and it was near the hotel. I had been craving onion kulcha, so we knew we were going to stop here for sure! I am so glad we did. The onion kulcha was amazing. I think it might be the best I have ever had. I also really enjoyed the aloo gobi and navratan korma. We asked for both medium, while my son ordered aloo gobi mild. There was no confusion or problem, they both came out correctly. We were also served a huge bowl of rice, and it was more than enough for the three of us. I wish we had been able to try the lunch buffet. Maybe next time! My son and I also had samosas and they were fantastic. Cooked perfectly, crisp on the outside, and just perfectly warm on the inside. They paired nicely with the chutneys we were given. I don't know what they are called, but one is tamarind, and the other is green. Wonderful! Thanks for a great time and great service. I will definitely come back if I find myself in Sioux Falls again!

We really enjoyed our dinner at Everest. To call it Indian is a bit of an oversimplification: it's really Nepali food (or maybe more accurately, Nepali takes on Indian cuisine). Service and ambiance are great, though some of the music seemed a bit odd: some piano or other instrumental takes on some pop classics were unusual, but not necessarily out of place. It's a good, clean restauarant with nice decor and a friendly atmosphere. The food itself is fabulous. We really enjoyed the curry spices in the samosas, and the two entrees were spiced at the appropriate level as well: the Aloo Gobi was slightly more interesting than the Navratan Korma, but both are excellent and worth trying. Their onion kulcha (bread) is possibly one of the best that I've ever had: lots of onions, baked perfectly and a firm but soft texture. As a bonus, we had more than enough rice to go with our meals. That was nice touch and we didn't have to ask for more.

Lamb vindaloo on bottom and butter chicken on top. So good!

Really good! Flavors, spice levels are there. Service was friendly and timely. Enjoyed both saag paneer and chicken biryani dishes!

Absolutely disappointed in the Sioux Falls location. I've visited the other location multiple times…read moreand have had nothing but a great experience. What's worse is that I took someone who is new to Indian cuisine with me and their experience was less than stellar. Not exactly the experience I wanted them walking away with. Service was super slow. We were seated and then they forgot about us for over 20 minutes. And not like we were tucked away in a corner. We were front and center by the main area. But, nope. We were apparently invisible. Eventually someone realized we had not been helped and finally took our order. The food was mixed. The vegetable pakoras were decent, and the highlight of the evening. Paneer Tikka Masala was a bust. Plenty of paneer, but the sauce itself was weak and lacked much flavor or depth. The naan was decent. Will try something else if I am very back in Sioux Falls and craving Indian food...

The garlic naan and vegetable pakora were amazing (even better when fresh, but still great), but the customer service can't be beat. That alone will make me a return customer.

I'm not…read morementioning this to brag, but as a way to show I've had Indian food throughout the United States so I think I have good idea what to expect. Having resided in Sioux Falls for about 2.5 years, I've found that food here is typically well prepared with fresh ingredients and served as I would expect. The strange thing is, there's almost always a distinct lack of any standout flavor: everything is there, it all tastes good, but it's not exciting or distinct. And so it goes with Indian Oven. There is a lot to like here and my rating is more like 3.5 stars. I just can't give it 4 stars. The portions are generous so you are getting a large amount of food. The entree I ordered arrived with rice which I appreciated. Service was prompt and efficient. The restaurant occupies the former Urban Chislic location so the decor inside looks much like a modern sports bar and that's fine - it's reasonably modern looking without being overwhelming. I think if I'd never had Indian food before I'd be very impressed. However, like I mentioned before everything looks and 'feels' accurate and yet the food always tastes like something is missing. I ordered Vegetable Samosa and there were good - the pastry seemed accurate and the filling was good. It was served with the usual sauce/sides as expected. The Dahl Makhni (beans) arrived at a very hot temperature which I did appreciate. The naan bread had a pleasant, chewy texture which I liked a lot. I can only give three stars because of the overall taste/flavor. I don't know if food in the Midwest is just intended to be 'flat' or 'polite'. I enjoyed everything I ordered and since I am a big eater I finished everything ordered - that alone should tell you it was good. Overall, it is a good place to eat and the food was accurate for Indian food. I just wish it was more flavorful and interesting to taste.

It seemed the dough was homemade but what ruined it for me was the filling was underdone (some hard pieces). While eating the butter chicken, I bit into a large pod (I'm assuming cardamom) but seems there were other things in mixed in as well--it was about the size of a quarter. Also found a hard piece of what appeared to be bone in the chicken. The flavors were excellent, the naan/kulcha were good--but didn't outweigh the other parts of the meal. Unfortunately I won't return.

I was out in the area, and Indians food sounded good, so I figured this place was worth checking out. I was not disappointed. The inside is very clean, with all tables set up with flatware and glasses. I ordered chicken vindaloo and garlic naan, both items came fairly quickly. The naan itself had a great flakiness to it, it reminded me more of pizza crust than a general flatbread. I do feel like the garlic aspect of it was a tad underwhelming, but that may be to your individual taste. The vindaloo was excellent though. It doesn't blow my mind in terms of what I've tried before, it's just a very good take on something I know I enjoy. It's a hit of a trek to the exurbs of Sioux Falls for Kathmandu, but I know for a fact I plan on going back there.
