We had contacted a local company and, while the quote and scope seemed adequate, the plan for condenser placement was not great and I had sticker shock. So I went to YELP and found JL Martin. I am so glad I did! Jared toured the home, and came up with a great plan for a new system and was able to come in around 3K less that the previous company. I appreciated the 'out of box' thinking! This included working with the city permit process as well. The biggest hold up was actually the city acknowledging and passing the plan. Once that happened the JL Martin team scheduled quickly and the install was completed in under a day. The install team was incredibly respectful, explained everything that they were doing, and took great pains to be as unobtrusive as possible. They gave me the guidance on what to expect with the state inspection and city, made sure I understood what the filter requirements would be in the future and the city signed off within 10 days of install. I could not have asked for a better experience! They really work with you and everyone, from installer to office staff to upper management were amazing, responsive and helpful. At the time they also wanted to do my furnace I told them no which my furnace was still good for another couple years and then they came back changed a part on it saving me a little money but the. The value here I do think is better than other places but I wish they would work on the upsell a little bit because times are tough and we don't need that but I do trust this company for things I do need.

This is primarily due to Stanley's professionalism, clear explanation and being able to meet our timeline. Once the projected started, Stanley and his crew (Tim and Stan) arrived promptly and installed the new ducting system in a timely manner. They left the house in the same condition it was in before beginning the install. We passed the HERS testing and got city permitting done. Stanley took care of both for us. The new ducting install took a day or two to complete. We waited a few days for the HERS testing and city inspector. Stanley and crew came back two weeks later to install the boot covers once we finished adding new dry wall and paint. Throughout the whole process, Stanley and Mike were in constant communication with us. They always replied promptly to our email, text and phone calls. For context, during this period we had a newborn and significant personal obligations. When the visit occurred, the noise did not happen at that moment and no technician evaluation or adjustment was performed as a result. I later recorded the noise when it occurred and shared video evidence. Despite this, no diagnostic visit was offered. My review reflects both the unresolved issue and how it was ultimately handled. After posting this review, the business responded by disputing timelines and attributing the issue to unrelated work, but did not offer to inspect or resolve the ongoing airflow/pressure noise, despite video evidence. The attic cellulose work referenced was recommended by their team and performed by a contractor they referred. I had an air conditioning unit installed by Evolution Air in 2021. Since installation, the unit has intermittently made a loud "farting" or bubbling noise. I reported this issue within the first year. A technician came out, but unfortunately the noise did not occur during the visit, so nothing was adjusted or fixed. The problem has continued since then. After researching the issue myself, I found multiple discussions on Reddit indicating this is a known and common problem related to airflow or pressure adjustment, and that it is typically an easy fix for an experienced technician. Despite this, the issue remains unresolved years later. Overall, I'm disappointed that a known, recurring issue reported early on was not properly addressed, and that I've had to rely on online forums to understand what should have been a straightforward adjustment.
