Our excellent customer service began when discussing our project with Sergei, who was not pushy on sales or services, just gave us honest thoughts about our particular system needs for our very old, inefficient and broken HVAC. We ended up with an all new heat pump system that is quiet and really efficient (17.5 SEER2). We already anticipated need for a new system since every tech that came in last 5 years said it was on its last leg, before it finally died during an extreme heat warning. The installation crew arrived on time, were very respectful of our garage items (helped move bikes to backyard and even used cloths to cover from the sun!), never complained about the working conditions (hot garage and tight garden area for fan unit), and were informative about the process. They also left our property very clean and tidy upon job completion after a single (and very hot) day of installation. As a bonus, I was not expecting the excellent craftsmanship of the lovely stainless platform cover over the new plywood they cut-to-fit for the removal of the old/damaged platform/box deck, and they used duct-board and sealant to finally make the interior of the intake under the unit sealed from all the walls and dust generation that has been blown throughout the home since the 1970s. After getting quotes from over 10 of the highest rated HVAC companies on Yelp and Google within my area, I decided to go with Air Blue HVAC for my AC installation. Prior to the installation Sergei took the time to inspect everything, explain my options, and answer my questions instead of just doing a quick walkaround and sending me a quote. On top of that, their price was one of the best I received. They quoted me a premium system for about the same price several other companies were charging for basic entry-level equipment. Sergei and Vadim showed up early and worked tirelessly through a 90+ degree day. They even cleaned up and fully restored my furnace closet, which hadn't been touched in decades. Their workmanship and attention to detail were outstanding. Even after the installation was finished, they stayed past sunset to properly test the new heat pump. Since a new system needs time to run before you can verify temperatures, pressures, and check for refrigerant leaks, they didn't rush the job. It was time to replace our 40 year old central AC and Furnace. We obtained 3 quotes for a variable speed heat pump and it seems all the HVAC companies we got quotes from are offering the ACPro Brand which allowed us to compare apples to apples. Air Blue was the most reasonable of the 3 quotes for a 3 ton system. Sergei the owner was very responsive to my many questions before we decided to go with them and they were able to scheduled the install on the dates we requested. Turns out Air Blue had done an installation a few houses away a while back. I went to talk to the neighbor and he told me he had a really good experience with Air Blue and highly recommended them, and that helped us make the decision to go with them. The 2 Techs, Vlad and Sergei (different Sergei) who came to do the installation were professional and very efficient. Vlad made sure to explain to us how the system works in detail, and answered all our technical questions. Drop cloth was laid down everyday and cleaned up at the end of each day. It took 2 days for the installation because they also replaced all my old ducts in the attic riddled with holes and tears, and every air vent grill in the house. The other Sergie installed the new ducts. A new nest thermostat was also installed. We now enjoy really good flow of air into all the rooms in the house. Another thing that make Air Blue stand out from the other HVAC companies is that Sergei never tried to sell me an annual maintenance plan. When asked, he said we would save money by just buying and changing out the air filter once a year ourselves, and the warranty is will not be affected. We have used many contractors for a number of large home improvement projects, and we had a really smooth and good experience with Air Blue, which is not always the case with home improvement projects. Update: Two years after install, one of the parts in the system stopped working due to a rare malfunction. Sergei came out to inspect the system even earlier than scheduled, fitting us in between appointments. They got the part and came out two days later to do the replacement. The whole thing took less than three hours, and the guys were extremely efficient, respectful, and professional. Plus, the parts and labor were completely covered by the warranty, so we paid nothing. Sergi came and educated me about the newer ac units available nowadays, how they work, and what options were available. He was very patient, knowledgeable, and detail oriented. He was not pushy and was willing to answer all my questions and trust me i have a lot of questions. Vladim and Sergi#2 worked very hard to install the system and make sure everything was functioning properly. They were all courteous, polite, and kind. Especially with my son following them around. They worked close to 12 hours to get the system completely installed. Sergi was also there both at the beginning and end of the install to make sure everything was completed correctly. The details that i really appreciated: 1. Relocated and shortened the existing outdoor copper line and power cable, so that the least amount of it is exposed to the elements. 2. Moved the oil filter to the inside unit so that it is protected from the elements as well. 3. Opened the fins on my air intake gate for maximum airflow and also sealed the air intake box. 4. Last summer we made the decision to scrap our 60 year old furnace and add AC to our home by switching to a heat pump and adding solar panels. We read all the Yelp reviews, everything Reddit had to say and watched all the youtube videos. We were particularly impressed by the straight forward videos by Sergei from Air Blue and called him for an estimate. Sergei spent 2 hours with us detailing what could be done and all the options that were available. Over the next months we called several times and asked questions or sent pictures of what we were thinking of doing; Sergei was always helpful, never pushy. In November we asked him back for a quote on what we wanted and got one that was quite reasonable. We mentioned that we were going to add solar and needed to upgrade our electrical panel; his suggestion was that we should wait until that was done and then call him. Electrical panel finished and we were able to hide the heat pump wiring in the wall rather than have another ugly conduit on the house (Thanks, Sergei). We called and said we were finally ready and Sergei and his team of yet another Sergei and Vadim arrived a few days later. He scheduled the asbestos removal team on Monday so he knew he would be able to finish the job without leaving us with a heatless weekend. I had already done a decent amount of research on heat pump HVAC systems, but they were still able to explain some new information to me. They didn't try to oversell me on a system too large for me condo. They found really good ways to save me some money on a somewhat difficult install because my condo was built in 1997 and the system could have required a lot of drywall and framing rework. He even proactively brought up that since I already had an upgraded thermostat, that I wouldn't need to buy a new with the new system. They were professional, showed up when they said they would, worked with my schedule, worked around my HOA and their ongoing painting project (which you can see in one of the pictures), they did great work, and they did great work quickly.
