I'm not sure if I reviewed BPW back in 2020 when they first came out to help me. But even if I did, I wanted to write another one. At the time, they helped me with getting my A/C back up and running after I'd had the same equipment replaced only like 5 years prior. My condo set-up is unique, and I went through several HVAC techs and learned that not everybody knows how to service heat pumps (and I don't blame them). 4 years later, fast forward to 2024 and I had to have them back for a clean out, and it was done quickly and efficiently. I also received some "training" on how to prevent my issue from happening so frequently. All in all, a great experience, the second time around. My only complaint about the 2020 visit was that the team wore no masks, and didn't ask if I was comfortable with that or not before coming in. This was at the height of the pandemic, too, when everyone was on lockdown. But, I'll forgive and forget, as it's history now. read more

Can't say enough good things about David, who's taken over for Brent at BPW. I texted him this morning about my Air Handler leaking. He replied later in the day and was here by 5. The other company I had spoken with wasn't going to show for a little over a week. As for the issue, I hoped it was a condensate pan issue, wasn't, turns out we were about half full on Freon. It wasn't cheap because R22 isn't cheap, but we opted for refilling the unit, a stop leak and hoping for the best for the time being. Replace it NOT in the middle of summer and maybe let it live a little longer. He was honest about all possibilities, low pressure, and the numbers on the gauges don't lie. It was do this or replacement and that ain't cheap either. Ultimately I'll definitely give him a call again, am glad for all these old reviews for Brent (especially because I have a/c before a heat wave) and know the company has the same good work ethic and kindness in 2024 w/ David. read more

I had received a quote just last yesterday, and was surprised that he could come out today, a Saturday, and that there was no extra fee for the weekend! The owner himself came out, even! We fully expected to pay the initial $75 fee for the service today, which ended up just needing a fuse replaced, for now, and was totally shocked that he came out, climbed on the roof, twice, replacing the fuse the first time, as we were told there would be no fee! Now granted, we have a likely 30-year old+ system, but since the system is sealed and uses Freon (yeah, the old banned, real stuff), and that the coil needs to be replaced, he said he can get us a new unit and install it for around $7,500, and install it as early as Monday... Which sounds totally excellent to me. (I had literally gotten quotes online here that started at $100k, so that also floored me.) I will update the review after the new unit is in, but I would totally recommend BPW! read more

I can not believe the level of service I received! Bret Wilson hooked it up to put it shortly.. First he gave me tips to try to solve the problem by myself. When I couldn't fix it he drove in the rain at 9 pm to Corona! If you have AC/Furnace issues give this a call. Honest and and tremendous value. You will not be disappointed. So like two days after I got my furnace fixed my water heater took a dump. I got a great deal on a commercial grade water heater. These guys last 20 years. I needed help with one of my properties as the heater/furnace was not working and pumping out cold air. So this project started as a help project soon after my AC died on us. Just for reference I have no idea how to fix things around the house, other than replacing light bulbs. Brent was the first to respond and came out at 10pm the same day. It isn't often that the actual owner of a business comes out. He didn't have a service charge for the visit, which was great. He quickly identified the problem and gave me some options, starting with fixing just the broken part. He also went into the attic and looked at the ducts. Once he got the part, he came and fixed the A/C. He was quick and checked the rest of the system. We had to add some freon, which was the only additional cost that wasn't part of the initial quote. The most important part of my interaction with Brent was his honest assessment of my HVAC system. Once he completed the inspection and fixed the issue, he told me that the system was 17 years old. I thought he would try and sell me a new system after that statement. But he went on to say, "you should run this system until it dies". So with that said, I don't know if was the cheapest option, but I can say that Brent is a honest person. read more

My Lennox A/C unit stopped blowing cold in the middle of a heat wave. From the initial phone call to completion of the job, BPW exceeded all expectations. When I called, I spoke with Brent on the phone. He provided some quick troubleshooting, and asked questions so he could be prepared for the job. He agreed to come that very day (on a Saturday) in the evening, and even called later to say he could arrive 2hrs earlier than targeted. Yes please! I contacted several companies regarding an issue with my A/C, which was caused by the improper install of a new smart thermostat (popular home alarm system provider). BPW quickly replied via DM, later contacting me via telephone. During the phone call we discussed the issue, which he offered to help me resolve over the phone, FREE of charge! Figured out that the issue was a bit more complicated than initially thought. BPW advised me they could respond and showed up promptly, in professional attire. The two technicians discovered numerous issues with the thermostat installation. They corrected the wiring issue, replaced a fuse and also replaced the filter. During the service they were respectful of my house and used covers to protect my flooring. I'm super impressed with the service they provided. It's rare to find companies that truly put customers first, not just the all too common mouth service. In closing, I highly recommend BPW for any HVAC related issues you might have. read more

SOOO rude and unprofessional! The owner called me to cancel their appt DURING their service window! What's worse - he was so rude! Immediately after making the appt, I texted him with the address and I happened to mention it was a townhouse. He waited UNTIL the appt window to call me to ask if the A/C unit was in the ceiling, bc apparently they often are in townhouses. When I said yes, it was, he said he doesn't service townhouses with A/C units in the ceiling. Shouldn't he have asked me this question when he got my text??? He then proceed to lie to me, saying he called me the night before the appt, but didn't leave a msg (which he should have), BUT I had absolutely NO missed calls. He then said he planned to come out anyway and charge me $75 for the visit (knowing in advance he probably couldn't help me) and THEN tell me he couldn't fix it (very unethical). But bc I mentioned in my text that I was unemployed, he was actually "doing me a favor" by not ripping me off! He was rude, and condescending and was actually raising his voice at ME! I'm sorry, if anyone had the right to be upset, I think it was ME. He waited to call me until DURING the service window to essentially cancel the appt, then lied about calling me, then admitted he would have ripped me off but since I was unemployed, suggested he was being some kind of hero for being upfront!
