If you spent less money on sign in sheets for everything you would not have to double charge for the gym. You might also be able to repair all the broken benches and equipment. Thankfully there are 2 other facilities nearby. This one is a joke.

However, this has all of the basics you would need, with some cooler supplemental equipment that is nice to use occasionally. The woman who works the front, always greets me, and asks how im doing. She is always smiling and friendly. Any time i walk in, you can see that she is cleaning. That is one of my biggest pet peeves at other gyms. If i dont think its clean, i dont want to come back. It is not the case here. She is always mopping or vacuuming, etc. Nice little gym.

I was new to her class that day, but I've taken Step classes at other gyms for years. She is very intense and after noticing that I made a few mistakes on her steps only 15 minutes into the class, she walked over, told me "STOP STOP STOP", and ripped the risers out from under me. I was so offended. If you want new clients to continue taking your classes, you need to ENCOURAGE them at the level that THEY believe is right for them. You as the instructor do not determine that. She was constantly shouting and gave ZERO alternative steps for beginners. You either picked it up or she kept yelling. It was a great workout because she was so intense and that's why I rated the class two stars, but if you are a beginner, you will feel so discouraged with her. I recommend taking someone else's class.

You can see the strength of the BYC community as patrons know each other, are talking about their lives and yoga experiences, and feel at ease asking for support or expressing themselves to the owner and lead teachers. All of the teachers are BYC are highly adept and in tuned with the needs of the yoga community. The lead YTT teacher is knowledgeable in all things yoga. Her calm and encouraging demeanor made her very approachable to talk all things yoga-and beyond! She became a mentor and friend throughout the program. The program was clearly defined and outlined at the beginning of the YTT program. Students had clear expectations of what we were learning, work load, and schedule expectations. While the program was rigorous, we were supported as human beings with real lives, families, etc., first and foremost. I appreciated how the owner of the studio was YTT certified himself, and could talk about all things yoga with students. He reflected on his own experiences and understood what we were going through. He works closely with his experienced yoga teachers to ensure YTT students receive the best and most thorough training and positive experience. You can tell he puts a lot of effort and work into making the studio a safe haven for people of all levels. When you participate in yoga teacher training, you get so much more than just yoga. You become a part of the BYC family. The closeness and bonds that you build in YTT go beyond the training. I know that I have lifelong friends from this experience. I'm extremely disappointed with my experience at this sports recreational center. My son…read moreparticipated in a 7-on-7 football program, and during one of the final games, he was seriously injured when another player struck him in the face with an elbow. As a result, both of his front teeth were knocked out. One of my biggest concerns is that the coaches do not require children to wear mouthguards. This is a basic safety measure that is standard in schools and organized sports for a reason--it helps prevent exactly this kind of injury. I strongly believe that if proper safety rules had been enforced, the severity of my son's injury could have been reduced or even avoided. Even more concerning was the lack of follow-up. After such a serious incident, no one from the center or coaching staff reached out to check on my son's condition. That level of disregard for a child's well-being is unacceptable. In my opinion, this place prioritizes running programs over ensuring the safety of the children participating. I would strongly urge other parents to think carefully and ask questions about safety policies before enrolling their kids here. My favorite part is everything--the coaches, the people who come, that all fitness levels can do the workouts. The workouts are a combo of treadmill, rowing, and weight lifting. Running is not required, and walkers can participate. I've slowly started to add more running. Sign up is so easy, and the OTF app is very user friendly. It is fun to celebrate your own milestones and others. I love the heart rate monitor because it lets me know when I am overdoing it or need to put in more effort. They also recently purchased new treadmills!
