    Evergreen cafe in Wrightwood, Ca

My family of 5 went there on Sunday morning (2/1/26) for breakfast. Excellent food. (The chicken fried steak was huge!) Top notch service. We were in and out in about 30 minutes and the restaurant was packed. The valentines day deco added a lot to the ambiance. They also have a model train circling the ceiling! My kids loved the train. We will definitely be back next time we come up the mountain.

Been coming here for years. Great spot to ride your Harley to. Food is amazing, bar is fun, service is good, and the people are friendly. Plus, they've got the best to-go cups in town.

Monte Cristo Sandwich and crispy salty fries

It's been a while since we have been this cafe, but this Monte Cristo never disappoints. Even though it was missing the jalapeño jelly, it was still good. Especially the fries! Hopefully, when we take a drive next time, they will have the jelly. And Our server was extremely nice!

The fish and chips best I have ever tried. The pancakes delicious and fluffy. Stake and egg's plate and grill chicken sandwich was loved by my friends. Strawberry shake and Michelada deli. The service 10/10 made you happy to hear the staff so friendly and polite. A definitely must try!! Food coma guarantee so please plan a light activity after.

Andrea gave our hungry group great service, was very kind and brought our order per our request. Small place but definitely gives it a warm home like feel to it. When we visited it was during October and they had halloween decorations. Our food was good we didn't have any complaints on it! Definitely will visit when in town again.

This is half of a $19 French dip sandwich.

We've been going there for over 20 years and it seems like they have undersized and overpriced themselves now. $20 for an egg and potato breakfast. I guess they haven't realized prices have actually come down .

I really loved this place! Took off a star for the prices aka they are pricey! We spent $60 not including tip for our dinner tonight (2 burgers coleslaw, sweet potato fries) a side of soup and 2 small apple ciders. Most "mountain" cafes are usually just ok, but this one was exceptional. The sweet potato fries esp were cooked perfect with no grease. My only gripe is that they should have some music or something playing in the background, as we could hear the full conversations of the workers having fun and talking about their dating lives, which totally changed the ambiance. Great place and I would totally come back, but maybe would try another place that's a little less expensive.

    Great experience, food, staff, everything!

Wow! What a special place! My grandson and I picked it just because and loved every moment of our experience! Sorry we didn't take pictures of the food, but it looked so good we dove right in. The Montey Cristo and the turkey melt were delicious! The service was fast and the staff was friendly and professional. Great halloween decor and ambiance! Definitely worth the wait and highly recommended

My favorite place to go with my family after skiing or riding the inner tubes down at Snow Fun Park in Wrightwood. This place feels so old timey and cozy! Their decorations really showcase their unique history in the area. Love how it stands out among bland corporate chain diners. Full of locals and tourists alike. The menu was stndard diner fare and we had no complaints! Will definitely be back!

    Window trim. Murrica!

She likes Guinness draft there and I had Sour Monkey Triple draft. The poutine was good and it was the first time my wife had tried it--she loved it. I thought there could have been a little bit more of the cheese curd, it was fried, but I know every place makes theirs a little different. The atmosphere is great; it reminds you of a cabin on the inside and of course you're in Wrightwood CA so it's a perfect mountain hangout. The tables are clean, the area swept up and a very inviting indoor environment as outdoor environment. This is a rustic environment, so don't expect four-star accommodation. Again, as I said, it is perfect for this area, and I would expect nothing less. The service was great, we had two or three different servers, and they were always polite, knew their menu well, and offered upgrades. Had a great conversation with this server and he had been coming up there for years himself before working there. His daughter and wife were outside, and he would periodically chat with them which made us feel like it was a great family environment. The menu is varied and they have some excellent hamburgers; I have had the patty melt in the past. There is something about being 5000 feet above sea level, having a cold drink, and hot food; it's amazing. If you happen to be up in the Wrightwood area stop by at this place you will not regret it the food is hot and tasty, the beer is cold and the service and ambience is excellent,

I'll admit, the initial smell reminded me a little of an old Las Vegas casino, but don't let that fool you. This is the only true sit-down restaurant in town, and if you're looking for a romantic dinner, this is the spot. We arrived right at opening, and the bar already had regulars enjoying their evening. We were seated in the main dining room, where it was just us, and another party of four. Kara, who greeted us, was bubbly, personable, and welcoming. Our server, Alicia, was equally wonderful. Both ladies were knowledgeable about the menu, quick with recommendations, and incredibly attentive. They had that sixth sense of knowing what we needed before we even had to ask. We ordered a nice variety to share: the tempura, seasonal fire-roasted artichoke, fried zucchini and squash, spinach salad, Malaysian shrimp, Pacific cod fish & chips, and the top sirloin steak. Honestly, we walked in with zero expectations, but this small-town steakhouse really delivered. The food was delicious, but the service stood out as truly top notch. Kara and Alicia made the experience memorable, and for that reason alone, we'll definitely be back the next time we're in town.
