This is a decent steak house in the area. Limited hours of operation but you won't be disappointed with your meal.

My children like this place, my wife likes this place and obviously lots of other people do. My wife and I shared the poutine, and we had some chicken wings as an appetizer. She likes Guinness draft there and I had Sour Monkey Triple draft. The poutine was good and it was the first time my wife had tried it--she loved it. I thought there could have been a little bit more of the cheese curd, it was fried, but I know every place makes theirs a little different. The atmosphere is great; it reminds you of a cabin on the inside and of course you're in Wrightwood CA so it's a perfect mountain hangout. The tables are clean, the area swept up and a very inviting indoor environment as outdoor environment. This is a rustic environment, so don't expect four-star accommodation. Again, as I said, it is perfect for this area, and I would expect nothing less. The service was great, we had two or three different servers, and they were always polite, knew their menu well, and offered upgrades. Had a great conversation with this server and he had been coming up there for years himself before working there. His daughter and wife were outside, and he would periodically chat with them which made us feel like it was a great family environment. The menu is varied and they have some excellent hamburgers; I have had the patty melt in the past. There is something about being 5000 feet above sea level, having a cold drink, and hot food; it's amazing. If you happen to be up in the Wrightwood area stop by at this place you will not regret it the food is hot and tasty, the beer is cold and the service and ambience is excellent,

I tried to come out once a month with my dogs and get a beer and a small appetizer at each location and usually dinner at the last location. This place was the best by far we were greeted by this tall gentleman with the beard bald guy super cool dude. This waiter was amazing full of personality. Customer service skills was excellent. We ordered the California Dog tater tots with garlic Parm and a peanut butter and jelly burger that was to die for everything. Everything was amazing except for it being a little windy on the patio and a little chilly, but that was the least of our worries our dogs were comfortable. The food was amazing. The ambience was exceptional and the service was top-notch. Thank you sir for the amazing recommendations. We will be back for sure from your friends with the Doberman and German Shepherd dogs. But everything was so good. Husband kept stealing my fish sticks!! The homemade tartar sauce was delightful and the cinnamon sugar chips with the fried ice cream were a great touch. We will definitely return when we next need a taste of the sea.

They have signs up about trespassing. They called the cops about trespassers and we ended up getting a ticket for "snow play." I was there less than 5 minutes. I had just gotten out of the car and got back in to move the car closer to the entrance when we were stopped. Not going to support a business who does this. Not worth it. This is a direct firsthand experience of the business handling things on their own accord. If I can't stand outside for less than 5 minutes before going inside after being in the car for 6 hours, I am not going to support any further. We ended up not getting food because of this AND drove another 2 hours to get something to eat instead. Also- my review was flagged to be removed. Um, the interaction with this restaurant was the experience from them. I asked why, the cops said the restaurant called. Just because I write it later doesn't mean it wasn't an experience. Think of it this way... it's still like wow.. they really DGAF about people.

Very small restaurant so highly recommend getting a reservation. We tried many items from the menu. I really liked the steak tartare which tasted of truffle and loved that they had different things to add on top as well. It was really good steak and not at all chewy. The soup du jour was a creamy caramelized onion soup which was decadent and so good. For my entree I got the seafood pot which I liked but wasn't obsessed with. The curry was very thin and the seafood felt a bit overcooked for me. But the taste was good, just wish the curry was a thicker paste than a liquid soup texture. My family all loved their entrees and said the quality of their various steak dishes was remarkable. The waitress was so kind as well. Would love to come back next time I'm in town!
