I had my initial eye exam on 11/2023 and got a new contacts and glasses prescription from them. After a couple weeks of wearing the new contacts my eyes started being super sore and burning so I went to see an ophthalmologist who told me that my contacts are not fitting correctly and are irritating my eyes. I Emailed Dr.Long and asked for another consultation to fix the original prescription, they said they'll review the ophthalmologist's notes and get back to me. Then I was completely ghosted by them even after follow-up Emails (For context, I emailed on 1/5/24 and the posting date of this review is 1/24/24, no response so far). On top of that, both the receptionist and the doctor sounded very rude and condescending on the Email, basically suggesting that it's not their fault and not taking ANY responsibility for my care. I had to go see another optometrist after these people ghosted me for two weeks, and was told that the prescription I got from SODO vision was overcorrecting my vision, which caused my eyes to be exhausted and overly irritated. If Dr. Long had me come in right away and been responsible about my care, it would've taken less than 2 days to resolve the issue. But because of their lack of communication and irresponsibility, my vision issues dragged for 2 weeks and I lost over $400 in office visit fees and ordering the wrong contacts and glasses. I literately stated in my Email that I don't care whose fault it was, I just wanted my eyes and vision to get looked at and get better. But their failure to provide me with adequate care and communication was extremely unprofessional. I strongly suggest you find someone else for your care.

West Seattle Vision is the perfect example. Doctors, front desk staff and skilled professional opticians here and we've been working with them for years. Love it. Being a technology nerd I appreciate it when my healthcare providers use state of the art equipment like optical coherence tomography and widefield imaging and you'll get that here. I really appreciated that as I had a difficult year medically. But I had a number of problems with Cascade Vision. 1, they are *constantly* upselling, which I would have thought impossible for a doctor's office, but there you go. Every time I went in, whatever I went in for, there was always a necessary, over the counter product or not-covered-by -insurance procedure pushed on me which (surprise, surprise) they had available at the counter or through a special pharmacy. This gets tiresome. It also erodes trust in whatever advice the doctor is telling me about my condition. 2, I was having trouble adjusting to the glasses I bought there, for longer than the usual amount of time adjusting to a new prescription. I came back to have them checked out, just in case there was an error because everyone makes mistakes occasionally --that's human nature. The opticians got very snarky and overly defensive about that. A patient should be able to have their prescription checked out without questions. 3, I was misdiagnosed with a stye which turned out to be ocular rosacea. I saw 2 different doctors at Cascade Vision over about 3-4 months for this problem, at least a couple times a month, sometimes weekly. It seems extraordinary to me that they didn't recognize an ocular condition, which has the potential of damaging my cornea. The advice I was given (and of course, multiple products to buy!) to treat the "stye" was of course a complete waste of time and money and could have worsened the rosacea. 4. I had a diabetic eye exam and requested that the results be forwarded to my PCP. I had to make multiple requests over 6 months for that to be done, which is ridiculous, considering it could be sent in an email.

I explained that it had already been over a month and that I urgently needed my glasses because I cannot see properly without them, especially since I am traveling.
