She almost looked annoyed to do her job?? I was kind of taken aback by her attitude. The optician proceeded to say "you have no bridge at all" in a rude manner almost insulting my looks. The doctor owners, the father and daughter duo, must train their staff better to be more culturally sensitive when working with Southeast Asian patients and not insult our racial features. Is the Optician racist? This was the only takeaway I had walking away from this experience. Not to mention the awkward front desk situation. They have two front desk people, when you are talking to one, the other front desk person just stare at you the whole time. I then went back to Coal Creek Family Vision, scheduled an appointment for prescription the next day... They refused to see me at my scheduled time as they were reviewing my information. I was then told a different Doctor would be taking over... it has now been about a month and no communication from them, but they did bill me and my insurance... I would not recommend them and found the manner in which they handled a sensitive matter at a stressful time to be less than desirable.

Although this place wasn't a Yelp discovery, it's far and away THE BEST find of all since my move here. First impressions: incredibly up-to-date, plentiful selection of frames; beautiful, light, roomy store layout; and the most knowledgeable, personable, genuinely helpful staff I've ever encountered in an optometrist's office. This place is heavy on attention to detail - from the display of frames to signage to the beverage offerings for patients to the spotless, modern restroom to the exam itself. The moment you approach from the outside, it's obvious that nothing has been overlooked in the layouts or displays. Abundant natural light makes the place absolutely ideal to try on frames, and the staff honestly knows all of their products inside and out. This is the Apple Store of optometry. Dr. Lawson is simultaneously warm, engaging, professional, fun, erudite, practical, empathetic, thorough, and sentient of patient needs. Donna and Christian were completely focused on taking care of every aspect of my first visit. Christian was not just versed on the vast frame collection, he had a natural eye for suggesting which frames would look just right on me. Had I been left unattended, I would have spent 30 minutes narrowing down to the 2 perfect frames he produced for me in less than 5. Donna spent a great deal of time ensuring my paperwork for my vision insurance was exactly as I needed it, and did so while making me feel like a long-time neighbor who'd stopped in to borrow a cup of flour. From the greeting-sans-pressure on entrance through the huge smile on my face as I left, seamless interactions with all of the staff demonstrated impeccable team service all around. Getting an eye exam and contact lens fitting felt more like a spa appointment. Hit the mall for get-what-you-pay-for, quickly processed, mediocre optical errands. Eyes on the Landing is for those of us who seriously care about our vision, want to spend the time to examine every option available today, and be well cared for by a staff who cater to our kind. Having never worn glasses or lenses in my life, I discovered I had keratoconus, which was scary. I was referred to Cascade Vision Center and Dr. Jason Sifrit, and they were, bar none, as friendly, informative and as professional medical professionals I have ever witnessed. A few quick bulletpoints on how excellent their service was: * Friendly, knowledgable, accessible staff, from the front desk to the various professionals assisting me and the doctor. * Extremely personable service, from explaining my condition, helping me to understand my options, and setting expectations for the journey ahead. They knew me the next time I came in, started appointments promptly and on time, and treated me with dignity and respect. * Their staff personally made multiple phone calls to various insurance companies to help me understand how to approach my vision care, who to speak with on the phone, what codes to give, etc. * In-depth "teaching" to me on how to insert, remove and care for my own hard contact lenses, which is much different than regular contacts. * We hit a home run the first time out of the gate - my prescription worked, was accurate but again, they set expectations that there will be trial and error in most cases as the lenses fit to the eye, reshape the cornea, etc. * Easily accessible facilities and parking as a bonus Overall, I could not recommend this entire staff or facility more strongly. Billing issues come up for me only because of the complexities of vision and medical insurance, but they've even helped me as much as they can with that. read more

I used to see Dr. Beach, but he retired. I then started going to Cascade Vision Center (have seen both Dr. Crowell and Sifrit), and would absolutely recommend both of them. I had to see them recently due to waking up several times a night with my eyes glued shut (as in top and bottom eyelids totally stuck to my eyeballs!). Needless to say it was a terrifying situation....I was concerned that I was going cause irreparable harm to my eyes (maybe even go blind!) if I had to open my eyes suddenly if startled awake. Cascade Vision got me in the same day I called, and I saw Dr. Sifrit. While the issue wasn't resolved right away, both he and Dr. Crowell worked with me trying different things until we found what seemed to work for me (occular plugs, and eye drops they recommend). That, paired with keeping hydrated (drinking plenty of water), and taking fish oil, seems to be keeping the issue at bay...my eyes have not stuck shut for the last week or so now. I am very grateful for their diligence, compassion, and getting me in to see the doctor so quickly several times when I was understandably distraught about the issue. Last year, I got a pair of glasses from them, and the lady that helped me then was quite knowledgeable, friendly and professional as well. These guys are first rate! read more

I saw Dr. Sifrit [sigh-frit] for a comprehensive exam and had a fantastic experience. This was my first visit to Cascade Vision Center. I have been wearing glasses and contacts for over 20 years. This was my best contact fitting experience to date, and I learned a lot about my eyes, which have been prone to infections. I do not have vision coverage. My exam was covered under my medical insurance, and I paid the usual co-payment for a specialist visit. Updating my eyeglasses/contacts prescription was not covered by insurance, but was a reasonable out-of-pocket expense. I was told the visit would last an hour, and it did. It was worth the drive from Seattle. Traffic wasn't bad either way for a 9:30am appointment. I found Dr. Sifrit and his team to be knowledgeable, thorough, and competent. They use high-tech equipment and also provide a high level of service with great attention to detail. Highly recommended. read more

I am a radial keratotomy patient and I had reached the point with changes in my vision that eyeglasses just could not be made for me. My choices were a corneal transplant or scleral contact lenses. I have worn many types of contact lenses before and never liked any of them, so I was very skeptical. I talked to Dr. Sifrit about it and he recommended that I give the contact lenses a try. He thoroughly explained everything he could about them and answered all of my questions. It took some time to get the fitting right, which is to be expected in fitting this type of lens. Dr. Sifrit did an excellent job. These lenses have changed my life. I see 20/20 out of them (previously 20/40 and 20/50). I can wear them for long hours with no problem. Dr. Sifrit is a highly qualified doctor and is also really caring and helpful. I recommend Cascade Vision Center for any vision need. read more

Cascade Vision Center is a great place to go for eye care and routine exams. I have worn glasses/contacts for many years and have been to multiple eye clinics and this is the one I'm going to stick with. The staff is caring, prompt and professional but what really makes this clinic a "five star" is they worked really hard to solve an eye problem that I had been dealing with for many years. The doctor really listened to me and tried new things when the old ideas were not working. Today I am problem free and it is all thanks to the wonderful staff at Cascade Vision Center. When Dr Larry Beach was there my husband was his patient. Even after he retired my husband decided to continue with the new doctors there and also myself and my children also sees the doctors there and we are very please with the experiences we have there. I would highly recommend Dr. Cannon and Dr. Sifrit for your eyes check up. My son and daughter got their eye glasses from them and if your insurance cover everything it's the best to get their glasses from there as well. As for myself I did not get mine from them simply because I style I wanted are not there and the style that I like they have are a bit pricey. read more

I've been a client of this vision center for 30+ years. I have only seen 2 eye doctors during that time period, Dr. Larry Beach (until he retired) and Dr. Jason Sifrit (my current eye doctor). Both doctors are very good at explaining and making sure that you understand the health of your eyes. My doctor(s) at Cascade Vision were instrumental in saving my vision from a detached retina and the after care from my surgery. They were also there to help me get through cataract surgery in both of my eyes. I am currently enjoying great vision and I am very grateful for the great care that they've provided me. read more

Dr Sifrit took over when Dr Beach retired and I will say this I have been coming to this eye care office since after high school and they have not disappointed me yet. The staff is friendly and helpful. My family receives their eye care there and we are all very happy with the care that has been received. Dr. Yelgar was very knowledgeable and helped answer all my questions. Very professional. My initial worry was that a non-chain clinic might not have a lot of eye glasses frames to select but I was thankfully wrong. They had brands ranging from Nike, Oakley, the bendable frames, Dragon, etc. I think the prices are decent, I don't have much experience though. Around $219 for my Oakley frames before insurance kicked in. I'd highly recommend this clinic! Nice and welcoming. Doesn't feel like you're being a nuisance being there, unlike my old eye clinic chain (it was America's Best in Tukwila, bleh).

Located in my favorite plaza in Renton, Oceanclear has a plethora of frames. They have a variety of designer brands as well as high quality eyeglasses brands. Will fully admit I was very uncertain about him in the beginning. When Dr. Kuo told me Vincent would help me pick out frames I really was skeptical. But once he was around me for five minutes he relaxed and gave fantastic advice! Vincent really helped me find the right look. The two frames I purchased I felt confident looked good on me and fit my face. I was super pleased! The eyeglasses arrived two weeks later and I received a voicemail and email letting me know they in. They were perfect! Pickup was a breeze. Highly recommend!

Went in for an eye exam, and it was an extremely smooth process. The doc was extremely knowledgeable and even explained certain things about my eyes that no one has ever taken the time to do before. Other experiences I've had were all about getting you in and out as fast as they could, but not here. He took his time to explain what he was doing and why. I like that in a Doc. When I went to pick out my frames, my better half was not with me, and I typically always ask for her approval on something I liked. So, I went off the recommendation of the employee helping me (didn't grab his name). I tried several pairs on, and he said there was one that popped. Which was good because I liked it, but wasn't too sure. He said it was a a perfect fit and style for my noggin... so I went with it. Of course got all the upgrades, and let me tell you... I can't count on my toes and fingers, and yours too on how many compliments I got on these Holbrook Oakleys!! People loved it, my wife loved it, more importantly... I loved them! Overall, for my first experience with this place, it was a pleasant surprise and I found myself not dreading an eye exam and hunting for something I never am really satisfied with- until now. I always receive excellent care at AllSight Vision Care…read more Dr. Tekeste is an excellent Dr. who goes out of his way to provide excellent care. One time I had some eye issues and called me on his day off to see how I was doing. Staff are great too. Would not go to any other Vision Care Specialist.
