Rattle off a bunch of instructions or whatnot. I'm like "what's that?" In several appointments, we had to wait 20-30 min to be seen and we arrived there early, mind you. The parking is easy and it's just across the street from the hospital. The rooms that they put you in are small but manageable but you can certainly see some wear and tear (paint peeling off, walls a little dirty/scuffed up). Dr. Ko is professional but he needs to slow down. Glad that he does eye surgery too.

I really appreciated that as I had a difficult year medically. But I had a number of problems with Cascade Vision. 1, they are *constantly* upselling, which I would have thought impossible for a doctor's office, but there you go. Every time I went in, whatever I went in for, there was always a necessary, over the counter product or not-covered-by -insurance procedure pushed on me which (surprise, surprise) they had available at the counter or through a special pharmacy. This gets tiresome. It also erodes trust in whatever advice the doctor is telling me about my condition. 2, I was having trouble adjusting to the glasses I bought there, for longer than the usual amount of time adjusting to a new prescription. I came back to have them checked out, just in case there was an error because everyone makes mistakes occasionally --that's human nature. The opticians got very snarky and overly defensive about that. A patient should be able to have their prescription checked out without questions. 3, I was misdiagnosed with a stye which turned out to be ocular rosacea. I saw 2 different doctors at Cascade Vision over about 3-4 months for this problem, at least a couple times a month, sometimes weekly. It seems extraordinary to me that they didn't recognize an ocular condition, which has the potential of damaging my cornea. The advice I was given (and of course, multiple products to buy!) to treat the "stye" was of course a complete waste of time and money and could have worsened the rosacea. 4. I had a diabetic eye exam and requested that the results be forwarded to my PCP. I had to make multiple requests over 6 months for that to be done, which is ridiculous, considering it could be sent in an email.

The quote was over $300 not including the contacts or anything. Called around and this money-hungry business (not trying to help people just cash in as much as possible) is charging WAY more for an exam than literally any other Optometrist out there. Not even close. I decided to do an eye exam online and it was $79.99 INCLUDING 6 months of contacts. If you don't have insurance....definitely don't give your business to them. If you do have insurance...don't give your business to them because you know they are just using and abusing the system. Go to Costco or literally ANYWHERE else besides here.

I came for a diagnosis exam, and Doctor advised me to be treated asap, but I want a breakdown of my cost after insurance coverage first. My insurance was not contacted, and a few months later billed me $1,528 for that initial exam. In the bill, there were duplicate charges and unexplained charges for $342.00 and $552.00. I came in with my insurance card and asked billing to bill my insurance and fix the erroneous charges. After 2 years, not hearing anything from the office, I've thought that my insurance paid the bill. Then, come collection letters for the amount $1,156.00 that not paid by my insurance. By this time, I've changed insurance, and my insurance said they will not investigate anything over 2 years due to their state's statute of limitation. Now, I am stuck with the bill and my eye still not treated.

Before our visit, I connected to consultant Angie about my concern and special request on EVO+ ICL, because I wanted to make sure my husband can get EVO+. She assisted me with care and helped me reach Dr. Griffith, who handles ordering those collamer lenses. Dr. Griffith explained everything in detail about EVO+ ICL over email and responded to me promptly with patience. I studied electron microscopy during my Ph.D., so I have some understanding of how it matters when it comes to implanted lenses. Because of that, I had some detailed questions such as optic diameters of the collamer lenses before booking the surgery, and I really appreciated how seriously the King Lasik team took my concerns. This morning when I woke up (morning after procedure) I looked across the room and saw a clock on the dresser that I could never have seen and saw the time clearly. Then I was informed that if I wanted the ENHANCED lens which would eliminate the need for glasses, my OUT OF POCKET EXPENSE WOULD BE $5400.00 I went with the ENHANCED LENS REPLACEMENT. I paid the $5400.00 The lenses were not correct and they had to replace them AGAIN. I STILL NEED GLASSES and My PHERIFIAL vision in my left eye is BLURRED !!! On top of all that, I have received a bill for $401.81 (after I was told in the begining my out of pocket expense would be the $5400.00 which I paid) ! I am not happy with Northwest Eye Surgeons and I would HIGHLY recommend that you research other providers.
