We have always found the workers to be helpful and friendly, contrary to recent negative reviews.

Perhaps staff here forgot that their food on the table comes from donors. Think! Very poor customer service. They shouldn't be working in this kind of organization. It contradicts the mission of a charitable institution. read more

Has anybody else realized just how much CLUTTER they have recently or is that just me...? We had a surplus of clothes that we no longer wear, toys my toddler has grown out of, and random household items laying around that I just couldn't look at any longer. Needed to get rid of it. In the middle of a pandemic though, that seemed to be a little tough... But luckily, Goodwill opened up four donation centers in the Seattle area at the beginning of this month so I was in luck!! They are open everyday from 9-6 at this location, as well as in downtown Seattle, Woodinville, and Lynnwood (I believe). They're accepting everything EXCEPT furniture and "nothing larger than a microwave." I attempted to go to the Woodinville location but they closed while I was waiting in line due to overwhelming amount of donations, so plan to go EARLY no matter which location you go to. This Ravenna location was pretty slow, but don't bank on it, just in case! Drop off was quick, easy, and the staff was kind. They are also adhering to social distancing and wearing masks. Highly appreciate the Goodwill for opening donation sites during this time so we have options besides sending goods that still have life to the dump. read more

Please take my advice and avoid this drop off location at all costs - there are serious issues with staffing here. The employees are extremely angry, obtusely unhelpful, hate their jobs and act unprofessionally by screaming and losing their tempers with donors. Based on the way I was treated by the staff here, I do not feel safe donating at this site. My entire experience with staff and management here has soured me from ever supporting Goodwill again in the future. read more

Knocked off a star because it's kind of hard to find/get in to, but when I went (Monday, midday) there was zero line and no hassle. I don't know about you, but I've been in the longest, slowest donation lines at various Goodwill drop offs, so having this one in my back pocket is really helpful. read more

Not the best goodwill donation site in Seattle. If you try to go during peak times you are pretty much SOL. They only have space in their driveway for maybe five cars? Otherwise they just kinda wave you along. Which is fine because they don't won't people blocking the road. When I try to donate recently they wanted to keep my two plastic totes because if I gave them the item individually that created problems from a Covid point of you. No big deal on that front... Just putting that in the review so that others are aware. read more

Loved the drive through process. Drive in and get a wheeled container and put your own items in it. Ask for a donation receipt and you are on your way. read more

They are very organized and helpful here. Always open when they say they are going to be open. Helpful, friendly staff. As opposed to Shoreline location which is a total crapshoot. read more

Please Please Donate Somewhere Else Goodwill management assured me twice that this site accepted walk up donations (I don't have a car) and would be open during their advertised hours. When I got there during their work hours, carrying bulky bags, they were locked up, stating their "trucks were full", and had large signs posted saying "no walk-ups". Two of the guys there told me to go away. Just by luck, I got the manager on the phone, who made a call. Then 1 of their guys came over, speaking Spanish only, luckily so did I, so I got him to commit to put my 2 donation bags on their truck. But I would be a whole lot more comfortable that those bags would get to someone in need, had the workers taken them with a smile and thanks. I like what I've seen from Goodwill in the past at other locations. Avoid Ravenna, it's staffed by turds who need to be fired for cause. read more

These folks are so kind. I've been donating household goods at this location for years and they've always been efficient and reliable but two occasions really stand out. Recently, while donating some books my car battery completely died, gumming up their entire operation. The people working there quickly processed and redirected the remaining cars so they could go about their business. They managed to find a set of jumper cables and one of the employees used their own vehicle to help charge my battery so I could get home. Several years ago before I had a car, I would sometimes walk my donations over. This particular day I got a little unlucky as the gates were closing due to a full truck, but seeing as I had come on foot the folks loading were gracious enough to take my bag of donations anyways. The folks here have always went above and beyond to help me out! read more
