This is Winston, he was a nightmare. He would jump on guests, recall was hit or miss, didn't know how to stay, sit or lay down, wouldn't walk on a leash And would howl while in his kennel. This was the best experience! Tommy was the perfect trainer for our 2 large female pups. They had 3 horrible fights and we took them to a private session with Tommy. He taught us how to create boundaries and how we can prevent things that may cause tension between the girls! We bought the recommended tools he suggested. They are well worth your time and money although they are super reasonably priced. I highly recommend them for your dog training! I am part of a local dog rescue. Tommy and Corday have been an amazing support team for some of our 'special' foster dogs - with training, fostering, board & train. They have been such an asset in helping us place these dogs in the best home for their needs. Tommy and Corday were amazing with our active and dog reactive pup, Walter. Walter is quite the handful and has developed reactivity to other dogs (on and off leash) since we moved from the East coast to the Seattle. After a meet and greet and an hour lesson with Tommy and Corday we knew Walter would be in good hands while my husband and I were out of town for 2 weeks. While in their care they worked on his socialization skills with their dogs, leash skills and overall obedience. On the last day of our trip we received an email with video of Walter playing with their dog, Meadow. He looked so happy and relaxed and not remotely anxious. We thought we would never see him play with another dog again. Beyond that, they have given us plenty of tools to strengthen leash skills and basic obedience. Tommy has been wonderful in following up to see how Walter is doing at home with his reactivity toward other dogs. We are looking forward to continuing to work with Tommy and Corday to help with Walter's training. We also would bring him back to board there in a heartbeat. Tommy is truly a dog whisperer. His small, home style facility in perfect for big boys like mine. He only boards/trains a handful of dogs at a time which means the dogs are safe and given lots of individual attention and care. I have a Kangal Dog. If you're not familiar, Google it. It's easy to see why Tommy says he's "A lotta dog". According to the "experts" it is impossible to teach a Kangal to fetch. Tommy had him fetching like a Retriever in less than 2 minutes. Seriously. The only problem is my dog is always on his best behavior with Tommy. I struggled with the recall but my boy always come running when Tommy calls. I struggled with heal but my buddy immediately falls into a heal for Tommy without any command. Tommy always tells me what a good, obiedient dog he is. I couldn't have done it without Tommy's guidance and innate abilities. I wish he wasn't so expensive... scratch that...because he's worth more than he charges...I wish I could afford to use him every time I need to board. read more

My 6 month puppy just went through their 3 week board ans train program. My dog is very complicated and fearful, so my main interest was to give her more confidence and socialization with other dogs. I honestly didn't have high expectation since fearness isn't something you can fix in 3 weeks or even 3 months. My dog is still fearful and insecure sometimes but I am seeing A LOT of improvement. My dog is a way more confident and calm than before, and also knows a few commands! And also, dogs stay in their house with Corday and Tommy which is the reason I chose Evergreen. We had a 7 month old German Shepherd that was imported from Germany and didn't get the critical socialization needed when he was a young puppy due to the quarantine for rabies. He was a very loving dog with us but lacked confidence around strangers and other dogs. After a lot of research online we found Tommy and Corday and decided to give them a call. We described the challenges we were having with our dog and Tommy felt that they could certainly help us out. We chose to do the 3 week board and train and couldn't have been happier with the results. Tommy and Corday were really great to work with. They answered every phone call or email we had asking about how our dog was doing and progressing. We even met them out at a local shopping center during the board and stay and were very impressed with how well our dog did in this situation which would have been a big challenge for him just a couple of weeks before. We had two follow-up sessions with Tommy to ensure that we could carry over the training and build upon the foundation that they created for us. I highly recommend Tommy and Corday to anyone that is looking for a trainer. They were always friendly, professional, and were able to adopt a lot of different training techniques to find what worked for our dog. After taking my dog home from almost 6 weeks of board and train with Tommy at Evergreen School for Dogs, I realized that our relationship was already changed for the better. Before taking Cado there, I was considering re homing a dog that I loved due to human aggression/reactivity. I lived in an apartment in Seattle and just getting out to the street to go on a walk was a struggle. Then the walk itself was another story. Cado also had leash reactivity issues towards dogs which made city life almost impossible. I tried classes and other trainers which helped with management but not with solutions. I knew from the moment that I met them that Cado would be in good hands. I felt that he had plenty of space to play outside and was able to live in their home with them. Even though Cado was wary of Tommy and Corday at first, I knew they would find the dog I love in him. Tommy did not promise to "fix" Cado but did say that I would see improvements. I really appreciated that statement as I felt it was genuine and what I was hoping for more than him getting "fixed." During the 5 weeks I received updates and pictures which I truly appreciated since I missed my pup so much. When we picked him up we had an hour training session and 3 others at any location I picked. It was great that Tommy was willing to drive to my place and the areas that we have the most trouble in to work on real life situations. It really sealed in what he discussed and taught me in the first session after picking Cado up. I loved how excited Cado was every time he saw Tommy as that made me feel that they truly bonded and Tommy took wonderful care for him. I had an overseas trip....and a dog who has the sweetest disposition, but was in need of some training on leash and during mealtimes. Although I was nervous about leaving my dog for three entire weeks, Tommy and Corday were fabulous! They not only made me feel comfortable, but obviously were extremely good to my dog. I received text updates/pictures while I was away, and came home to a dog who had learned all new good behavior! WooHoo! I've since taken my pup back for a one-week tune-up and plan to return again in the future. The on-site/at-home follow-up training sessions are also a huge bonus! My husband and I have nothing but positive things to say about Tommy and Corday. They have been so helpful with our dog. He barks at other dogs when on leash, but is darn near perfect in every other aspect. It has been very frustrating because we felt like we were doing everything right since he was catching onto everything else so quickly, but he wouldn't stop. They have helped so much for both our dog to not bark when on leash, but also teaching us as owners how to be better handlers. We have no second thoughts about leaving our dog with them. The fact that he's being trained, gets lots of exercise on their property and gets to hang out with other dogs are all reasons why we've chosen to leave him there while on vacation, rather than to take him to a different dog boarding place. Really hard to find a fault with these guys, Corday and Tommy are fantastic trainers and have helped us so much with our Border Terrier. We have sent her for board and trains twice now and will continue to use them whenever we go away. Corday even shoots us frequent updates and photos throughout the stay. My dog Grizz has always been unbelievably stubborn despite all the training I've done with him (yep, Chesapeake Bay Retriever!). Also, he is 90 pounds of pure muscle, which made walking him & getting him to do what he is told a total nightmare. But Tommy & Corday worked very diligently with him. When I picked him up, he was the same sweet dog as always, but a totally different one who actually listened to me! Grizz has stayed there several more times since then when I've been traveling & the last time they worked on his severe anxiety in cars with real success. Not only do Tommy & Corday understand dogs on a very subtle & psychological level, they also really love them & give him lots of attention & great care.
