As many reviews have stated, this place is...for sure, in a remote location. Bring some food, escape your busy life and the internet, hunker down and relax! There are restaurants about 15 and 30 minutes away. Also, this place is "rustic" and in need of some upgrades and renovations. There is wi-fi, but no doubt the speed of said wi-fi is frustrating....again, remote location...escape, relax! So, keep all of this in mind when booking your reservation. If rustic, remote location, and slow wi-fi is not for you, I'd suggest finding a 5-star resort in a major city instead. There are a number of sitting areas inside and outside the property where you can relax. There is a huge game room with a few arcade games (bring your quarters), ping pong, pool, bumper pool, air hockey, foosball, darts, board games and puzzles. There is a "library" and sitting area with two bookshelves of books. There is a computer room with computer and vending machines. There is a laundry room with 2 washers and 2 dryers (bring your quarters and detergent). There is fire pit outside with supplied wood as well as a small playground for the kiddos. There are two propane grills and picnic tables. The staff was very friendly...Marg, Naomi, and Brandy! The night before our arrival, Marg called to ask when we would arrive and provide directions...wow, that's customer service! She advised us to avoid North Conway, NH due to traffic. When we checked in on Saturday, Naomi walked us around the property and showed us to our room. We booked a studio with the Murphy (double) bed through RCI. This room is 300-400 sq ft...like, really super small...and the room layout with the bed down and cabinets makes it feel even smaller. It was clean with huge windows facing the woods. There was a pull out couch, dining table, mini fridge, small stove with 2 burners, a small oven, and small bathroom. If you book this room, you'll want to take advantage of those sitting areas on the property, go for a hike, etc. We spoke to Marg and the staff when we arrived about upgrading our room. The staff asked us to be patient and they could probably put us in another room late Sunday as there were a lot of check-out that day. To our delight, we were upgraded to a one bedroom with king bed, living room with 2 pull out couches, mini fridge and a small fridge, 4 burner stove, small oven, dining table, and two bathrooms. Hands down, a much better room and experience! I'm not sure I could have survived in the studio all week! We were lucky that both of our rooms had an air conditioning unit, not all rooms do. We did not have one of the rooms with the spiral staircases, but we peeked in and those were super cool for those that have no problem climbing narrow stairs. Make sure to bring tour own food and drinks. You can cook and BBQ here - and as you are in the middle of nowhere. There is not much else to do. The rooms are a bit outdated, but they fit the purpose. A kitchenette, a (folding) bed, a simple bathroom. Also. Bring your own shampoo aa they only provide a small soapbar. No cell phone cover - but there is (poor) wifi. This is one of the better places that has good value for the money. Near Bethel and Lovell and the property manager was really helpful. If you are pet of RCI time share program then this is a no brainer. Only thing you have to plan for is grocery shopping and activities ahead of time. read more

Love love love!!! My boyfriend owns a timeshare here and he did so good with choosing this place!! Very friendly, approachable staff. Very, very clean rooms that are comfortable with a homey, rustic feel but still have the "hotel" feel, which I love when I'm on vacation. Beds are soft yet firm with really good pillows. A lot of small comforts of home, the whole Inn, common areas and rooms smell wonderful, not musty or unclean. The great room is absolutely beautiful and the sofas are dangerously comfortable. The game room and laundry area are wonderful perks, vending machines are pricey but convenient. He and I cooked 2 meals a day, for a week, and had no issue with food storage. We planned hearty, simple meals and the dorm sized fridge fit our groceries nicely. Just do a meal plan and you'll be just fine! WiFi worked well, we hooked up his xbox to stream Netflix, Hulu and Prime Video. We had no buffering issues, granted we were the only guests due to it being the first week of a January so we didn't have to share bandwidth. I stayed here for a week with my husband and 3 young children. The room was very outdated but we knew that going in. However, there was a strong musty order in the whole inn. There were air fresheners everywhere to cover up the smell. The kitchenette is very small and only an oversized dorm size fridge which did not fit all the food we brought (you have to bring your own food as there are no restaurants or stores nearby). The worst was after a day out of the room we came back to find mouse droppings all over our bureau, in the drawer of our once clean clothes, all over the kitchenette... LOTS of droppings. We got no apology from the receptionist just the comment "well, it's Maine". They came in to clean our mouse infected room but never vacuumed and there was a strong odor. We wasted a day packing our stuff up to leave early when they found us another room that would fit our family. We moved in there and that room was a bit newer feeling but still had the odor. The inn is larger than I thought and in need of some updating. The inn has so much potential. It could really be fantastic. Had good interactions with 2/3 front desk staff members. Jess, was particularly helpful and gave the best suggestions for where to go with young kids. The pluses: 1) small outdoor playground for young kids 2) Grills to use (although you pay a $2 fee for each use for propane) 3) Fire pit area and plenty of fire wood available 4) Close to lots of hiking trails 5) Game room but none of the arcade games were turned on/ or were broken when we were there 6) Our room (Innsbrook) had 2 TV's which made my kids happy. 7) An hour from North Conway The minuses: 1) The musty smell 2) NOISY... we heard the people above us walking and squeaking the floor until 2 AM and prevented us from sleeping 3) Outdated and beds were not the best 4) No pool and lack of amenities 5) No cell phone reception which also means no GPS reception and since nothing is marked it is impossible to find your way to anywhere... bring a map! Overall, we had a good time. Mouse poop and all.... if you think of the inn as glorified camping then you won't be disappointed. We had a last minute emergency and had to book on short notice. The staff was incredibly accommodating and friendly throughout our stay. We had a great time enjoying the surrounding area(absolutely beautiful!) and having a kitchenette in the room was extremely helpful during our downtime. I cannot give this place more than a 1 star rating because you do not want to stay here in the summer when it is hot outside. They have no air conditioning and the rooms are just plain hot hot hot if it is warm outside. I have no idea why they don't, at least, put air conditioners in some rooms. We came here on a Saturday for a 7 day timeshare. We moved in, it was warm outside, the room was super stuffy and the sweat was dripping off of us as we were moving our stuff into the room. We talked to Chelsea at the front desk and she told us that we would have to wait until Monday to get an air conditioner installed in the room. The info on the resort states that there is a charge of $15 a day for air conditioning or $100 a week. I told Chelsea that we had to have ac right away or we could not stay. She, finally, said that I would have to pay an additional $50 to get someone in on Saturday evening. She stated that because I didn't make advance notice that I wanted air, I had to pay the $50. I was told by the ac installer that he did not work in the evenings. Since the resort does not allow people to check in until 4 pm, something is wrong there. The resort knows that people check in on Saturday and they should have someone available on Saturdays to make their clients comfortable. This is totally non excusable to make people suffer in their rooms and not be ready on Saturdays. There is no mention in their paperwork that says that people have to agree ahead of time to get their air installed. This makes the charge for air conditioning at $150 for the week. We were so disgusted with Evergreen that we left after spending 3 out of the 7 nights at this resort. We were fed up with the noise of the fans and the ac and there was so little to do in the area and almost nothing at the timeshare. Evergreen should be charging me $45 for our three days there, but, so far, have not reimbursed us the $105. Just because this resort is too cheap to install any air conditioners in any rooms or pay higher utility bills for the ac, they rip people off for air. I have only stayed in one resort in my life that did not have air conditioning and that was in Mexico City. We managed to stay relatively cool by running the too small ac and two fans. This was very noisy and took up most of the downstairs room. The upstairs sleeping area was totally unusable. Unless and until this resort installs, at least, some air conditioners, this resort is not a place to stay. The room we stayed in was clean, but we were the only clients in this resort. Staying there was like the movie "The Shining". This, I believe, is because no one wants to stay here without ac. There is also little to do here except read, watch TV, go fishing or hiking with a long drive on back roads. There is no VCR or DVD player in the rooms, just a relatively small TV on the wall. The room had a spiral staircase to the upstairs where the bed is located, where it is even hotter. The kitchen was lacking for some basic utensils and the fridge door did not close properly. The kitchen area was antiquated and in need of upgrading. The spiral staircase is extremely dangerous to maneuver up and down. On top of the above, every room has a sheet taped on the front door telling you to boil the water, as it is unsafe to drink. On top of that, when we plugged in a laptop, there was a spark and this fried the battery in the our computer. This is probably, at least, a $200 plus repair. You can drive to North Conway in about 45 minutes on back roads, some of which are dirt roads. It appears to me that this resort is on its last legs. Bottom line: don't stay here unless the owners upgrade the units with air conditioning. You can hope that they do that before they shut the place down for good, which may not be far away. I believe that Evergreen knows that they are on the verge of closing for good and that is why they don't want to waste any more money on the place with air conditioners etc. We have stayed at a lot of timeshares and Evergreen definitely wins the award for worst timeshare anywhere. read more
