What I thought at first was the cutest jewelry store turned to the worst. I found this place at the…read moremarket place and thought it was so cute. Plus the employee was sooo sweet! Anyways me and my girlfriends got matching permanent bracelets. We were told the ones we got were solid gold or gold filled. Which is perfect for me as I have very sensitive skin and will break out in hives if the material is not gold, gold filled, platinum, sterling silver, or surgical steel. Anyways loved the bracelet until a day later I break out in hives. And this thing is permanent (literally had to cut it off)!!! And $100.... I have attached photos of my hives and the bracelet that is the culprit. Not to mention, I was traveling from the north east so I was already home and could not go back to make a return or exchange. So I decided to go on their Instagram and message someone to help me for a refund as I just threw this bracelet in the trash. The employee online was so rude and basically told me I literally can't do anything but return it. Meanwhile, my bracelet was already in the trash. Which I told them and they said they still would need it to be returned. Gross!!! At the end of the day, they can keep my money and the bracelet will stay in the trash. What a shame. Please watch out sensitive skin girlies bc these bracelets are not the material they say they are!!!

We went to the Summerville Polly's and they did a phenomenal job at repairing. I was so happy to see it still looked the same as when it was brought in but just better and like new. I was also told at checkout after someone heard it was a family heirloom, that this piece is at least 90 years old and that the sapphire was lab grown. I was told lab grown was more precious in that time period as well. I felt closer to the family members of mine whose ring this belonged to and greatly appreciated the story behind my ring. I would recommend Polly's on N Main St to anyone. Especially if you have jewelry dear to your heart in need of repairs. They also kept my mother and I updated on the repairs, having to redo the band, and on another piece brought in for repair (looks good as new too!)

I even bought my husband's wedding band for our 10th anniversary from Barry's. When I went to pick it up after being sized, I had my wedding band cleaned. Instead of giving it back to me, the lady put it in a small envelop. I found that odd. I took it out and a diamond was missing. I showed her so she asked me to give her about an hour and she would have it replaced. When I returned, the diamond was replaced. It did not last a week! I am very disappointed. I do not trust this establishment anymore.
