I signed up for a membership at ITan about 2 years ago. I put my membership on hold a year ago because I was moving and struggling financially. It was 5$ a month to hold it at my promotional price. I was told that the money saved up could be used once I restarted. I had moved twice and changed my personal information so I was not aware that my membership would soon begin again until a $65 charge was taken from my account. So they made over 120$ off of me for nothing. I called crying and begged for at least my 65$ back. I'm a single mother, college student, and caring for my own sick mother. But they couldn't care less. That was my grocery money, but they didn't care. But hey, I was told I could come in and get a 65$ lotion. Don't waste your money here. I enjoy my time at I tan in Wildomar. It is like a mini spa, several different services to visit. I decided to try the "spa" service from iTan by trying the Fit Body Wrap. Not only was this procedure uncomfortable, but I did not leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated. Upon returning home, I did some online research and discovered that the owners of iTan.com also own the fit Fit Body Wrap product, but they carefully hide this from the public. I guess when the tanning part of their business started coming under attack from regulators, iTan must have decided to diversify by offering sunless spray tan and spa products such as aqua massage and body wraps. I DO NOT RECOMMEND! I am beyond upset and disappointed in iTan Wildomar! Tonight I arrived at the same time I always have for the last 5 months. I can only come at night because I have a severely special needs daughter and I have to wait until I can get her to bed. I WAS TREATED SO BADLY BY THE GIRLS and I am just in tears. They were clearly mad when I arrived. I let them know I would be in and out before the store closed in 10 minutes like I ALWAYS had. THEY did not have a clean room. THEY were rude to me. I waited for them to get a room clean for 8 minutes. Then she had the nerve to tell me they were closing. It was not my fault they were not prepared for a paying customer. I asked for a hair cover and the girl walked past me and said very rudely it's already in there. Then when I closed the door to the mystic tan and they thought I could not hear them SHE LITERALLY YELLED and they began talking crap, thinking I could not hear them! THIS IS THEIR JOB! They made me feel that I was such a burden on them. When I got out of the room I walked to the front and let them know that I heard her scream and heard the mean things they were saying about me. I let them know that they were SO rude and MEAN and that this was the only time I could come because of my special needs daughter. I was holding my mask in my hand because I could not catch my breath I was so upset, and instead of saying I am sorry or anything even remotely close to that, the other girl looked at me and grinned and then very rudely said, "You need to wear a mask." I looked at her in such surprise. I let them know that I would be contacting the manager and they both smiled again and said, "Sounds good, don't come back without your mask on!" REALLY? That is what you have to say to me? REALLY? So I walked out the door and flipped her off. Then she opened the door and yelled at me and said, "We are cancelling your membership!" Guess what, I already did!!! Anyone with a special needs child can tell you that getting out to do ANYTHING for yourself is a miracle and this was the ONE thing that I did for myself. But after being treated so rudely I will never go back to iTan! These girls should be ashamed of how they treated me but their smirks and laughs as I walked out the door show that iTan does not care about customers and certainly not about people like me who have special needs children. read more

I would like to start off by saying that I have not had a bad experience with iTan's products, beds, and/or sunless tanning. About a year and a half ago or so I got an iTan membership for a wedding I was in. I was happy with the tan I obtained from iTan. Summer soon started, and I no longer needed a membership. The staff suggested I "freeze" my account so that if I wanted to renew my membership, I wold not have to pay the start-up fees again. I didn't realize that there is a expiration date on the "freeze." I was recently charged $65 without any notice whatsoever. I called the store thinking this must have been a mistake of some kind. The woman on the phone was not very helpful and simply told me that "iTan unfreezes accounts after a certain amount of time without notifying their customer and it was in the contract that I signed." I asked for a reimbursement since I do not want a tanning pass right now. The woman stated that "We do not offer reimbursements. You signed the contract." I told her I wanted to cancel my membership, and she informed me that I needed to come in a sign a document in order for that to happen. I told her I would be by later as to sign the contract and that I would never tan there again. Her response was a sarcastic "Okay, bye!" and hung up - not very good customer service. After work, I went to iTan. I explained what happened to the women at the front desk (different than the woman on the phone), and she was very friendly. She apologized for the circumstance and told me she would make a note to her manager. I explained to her that every bill that I have notifies me before I will be charged. I expressed that I felt taken advantage of as a customer. I have paid $5 a monthly for 15 or so months. They have made roughly $75 from me for nothing. Then they force me into new membership pass and make another $65. The woman informed me that I could tan for the remainder of the month; however, I do not want or need a tanning membership right now. It's a shame because I have my own wedding coming up and when that time comes I will be taking my business elsewhere. The woman at the front desk was helpful and had good customer service. I take responsibility for being negligent on signing a contract like I did; however, I don't want my money going to a business that takes advantage of their customers. I'm not sure if management was notified as I never received a call or email. This is a business and they have to choice to reimburse their customers. I feel as though they do not care about their customers, rather use them to make money. As much as I like iTan's products, I am disappointed in their business ethics, and I will no longer be a customer. read more

To top it off they claimed I owed a monthly fee from 5 years ago when I never even been to their facility nor purchased a monthly contract. Stopped by after work to get a spray tan before leaving for vegas the next day, the salon was busy but I was greeted instantly with a hello and smile as soon as I walked in. A pretty blonde girl with green eyes was working alone and had two customers in front of me and three behind me. I had never spray tanned here so I had some questions, she answered every one of them, she definately knew her stuff and walked me through the Versa spray tan booth even though she was busy she took her time with me and that meant a lot. If I could give this place no stars I would. Let me just start off by saying that when I first started coming here I liked the place. But after about 3 weeks I started to notice the staff becoming more and more snotty and condescending. They are nice when they want to sign you up an take your money but if you don't continually spend $80 on a bottle of lotion they are extremely rude to you. Also the people working there are just plain dumb and so fake. They don't know anything about the equipment or the lamps UVB %. Itan use to be a great place to tan but the company is not doing so good in general so their equipment maintenance is not up to par. You can see cracks in the acrylics, lamps out, dust throughout the beds... It's just annoying because you spend all this money on a package and its really not worth it. I have not gotten any color from their beds, and I've used all of them! Plus they don't have a standup which sucks because sometimes you just want to be in and out. Also the manager here is a little rude, snotty B... Very unprofessional... Pretty much an idiot in general. I've switched to the Winchester location, the facility is way better. Went on Monday for my Mystic Spray Tan and there was a little malfunction which left part of my leg not tan the next day, went back Tuesday and they took care of the issue quickly, professionally and with perfect customer service/care!! I go often for Spray Tan services in the warmer months and I have to say my go to is iTan. I started with them in San Diego and now live in Temecula. All their locations are clean and their team of employees rock. It Is amazing how a tan can make you feel so fresh, energetic and more attractive!!! I came here after dream tan closed and it was a perfect replacement..if not better. There are tons of options available and i have never had to wait for my bed...which is always clean The price is pretty much the same as every other tanning place but, at the end of the day the people are what make or break my experiences and i like the staff here. Update on my last review. I am a mother of 3 with basically no time for myself ever. We all know that the days of taking care of ourselves are few and far between. I dont get manicures or pedicures anymore, I go to get my hair done once every 12 weeks and about 1-2 times a year I might get to go get a spray tan. My time is extremely valuable so when I do find time for me I expect the product to work. After I Tan upsold me on all the prep and double leg spray, then turned me orange and streaky (embarrassing me for my whole vacation) they adviced me they dont give refunds. What they would do is give me 2 tans and a hydration session. Keep in mind I paid 50 bucks for this top of the line spray and she is offering to give me 2 tans that sometimes sell for a buck and 15 in a hydration that I probably wont have time to do for another year? The customer service here is horrible. Obviously my time, money and fact that their product failed is not of any value. To all the moms out there who also never get anything for themselves and when they do they would like it to work. Save your money and go to someone who does the spraying themselves. Little bummed, joined a little over 6 months ago with a membership for all services..When I joined all the staff was friendly, so happy and greeted me with a smile when I walked in . The rooms were always clean and equipment was well maintained. The last few months the tanning beds have not been as clean , some of the beds have broken/ missing parts, duct tape holding on some of the tanning bed parts (yes grey duct tape!) the hydro station has been broken and not working properly and some of the newer hired employees are definitely not as inviting as the old staff . I sure hope that the management gets the beds fixed asap or they will be loosing a good customer. read more

I absolutely LOVE iTan!! I have used several of their different location including San Marcos, Temecula and Winchester. (San Marcos is my main location since it's right by my work, but I live in Murrieta and there are local locations there too! talk about convenience for a busy, working mom!) The girls are amazing, the beds are amazing and their overall customer service and care for their customers is unmatched! And trust me!! I've looked! I HIGHLY recommend the Sun Angel Smart Bed! I am IN LOVE. The results I get from one week of tanning in the Smart Bed take 1-2 months in another bed! The BEST bed tanning experience by far! ** As a sidenote I actually came from another tanning salon; Perfect Tan in Temecula where I ended up leaving for a list of reasons...so I was already standoffish when I walked into iTan.
