He was able to work with my availability and kept me accountable for my goals. As a trainer, he would cheer me on for just pushing myself a little more each time. Since starting to train with Julian I've steadily gained muscle, moved further toward my goals, and pain isn't an issue. I appreciate that Julian takes the routine out of warm-up and workout, making a concerted effort to mix things up each time we meet. Important to me in finding a Trainer was someone who would pass the 'airport test'. I spend at least 3 hours a week with Julian - he's a smart and fun guy, passionate about what he does, thoughtful in his approach, and genuinely interested and invested in his clients. As a small business owner, Julian operates with high integrity. I highly-recommend Pushnweights to help you meet your health and fitness goals.

She is not a "drill instructor" type, more of a fitness motivator and mentor. She has a full gym in her home, and training is one-on-one. I was a person who had really never worked out much before, and I was so intimidated by the equipment, and worried that I would not be able to keep up with the workout routine. Jeannine guided me through the process, always challenging me but not making me feel that she was asking me to do anything that I wasn't capable of. I was amazed at how quickly I felt myself gaining strength and feeling more fit. I always left Jeannine's feeling thoroughly spent but energized, and amazed at how much I had done in one hour. I would recommend Jeannine to anyone who wants to gain strength, get in shape, and who might be intimidated and confused by working out on their own in a gym.

I would not hesitate to recommend Jeannine to anyone - she is extremely knowledgeable about everything to do with the body, has a great up-beat personality and is a wonderful personal trainer.

I have had the pleasure of training with Greg for almost a year now and I can confidently say that…read moreGreg is AWESOME! One of the things that stood out to me the most about his approach is his ability to make working out enjoyable - something I've always struggled with. He has such a positive and motivating attitude that makes each session something I look forward to. What impresses me the most is how Greg is able to customized my workout routines (due to personal limitations). He took the time to understand my goals, fitness level and of course my physical limitations, and then tailored the exercises accordingly. His personalized approach not only make the workouts more effective, but also help me stay motivated and engaged throughout the process. I HIGHLY recommend Greg to anyone seeking a trainer who not only knows his stuff, but also knows how to motive you and empower you to reach your goals - no matter what they may be. He will always go above and beyond and has truly enhanced my fitness journey!

People start seeing a personal trainer for a lot of reasons, and for me it was my upcoming wedding…read more Man, did I luck out finding Greg Molina. My goal was to look good in my dress, and Greg was really responsive to that, even taking into account the fit and style (it was open backed and my shoulders looked AMAZING, in case you were wondering). He developed a training program for me that really targeted my personal goal, but that sneaky guy also managed to turn me into a person who enjoys working out. Me! A human with all the athletic grace of a newborn giraffe and the stamina of an asthmatic hamster. I was an adult woman who still had nightmares about gym class, but very soon into my time training with Greg I was HAVING FUN AT THE GYM! It helps that Greg himself has an easy and playful personality. He's not judgmental or intimidating and he really does a good job of matching whatever kind of energy you're needing that day to get the most out of your workout. I think what I most appreciate is Greg's holistic approach, so even if your goal is simply weight loss, Greg is thinking about composition, retaining muscle and mobility as the scale goes down, and never losing sight of how you're feeling in your body. And that brings me to where this review gets a bit deeper and more personal. About a year after my wedding I gave birth to my first child in the middle of the lockdown. I had severe pain during my pregnancy and no access to things like PT or a pool; by the end I could hardly walk and had gained 80lbs. Postpartum the pain continued, nothing was damaged, but I was now dealing with a chronic pain condition and really needed rehabilitation. I worked with a PT and medical team, but when it comes down to it, the person who I can really attribute the bulk of my recovery to is Greg. We started working together again after lockdown, and Greg showed his true flexibility and expertise. He walked a fine line of helping me recondition my body without triggering pain flare ups, constantly adapting, pushing a bit harder when possible, pulling back when necessary, and boosting my morale through the whole frustrating process. Even my PT was impressed by the work I was doing with Greg and counted it as a key element to my ongoing recovery. So now I can thank Greg not only for terrific wedding photos, but for the ability to crouch down to play with my son, to chase him on the playground, to lift him in my arms. Whatever (and I do mean whatever) your fitness goal is, you cannot go wrong with Greg Molina.

It quickly became part of his routine and he convinced me to join in January 2025. This gym has every different machine you could want, it's clean and you can go workout whenever it fits your schedule. Like literally... it's open from 4am to midnight and you get a code to the door! As busy parents of toddlers, we are not in a season where we can commit to signing up for a class ahead of time like some other gyms require because life happens. We have also both done the big name brand gyms that are overcrowded and overstimulating.. where you have 20 different TVs to watch as you wait for a machine to use... this is NOT one of those gyms and that makes Chain Reaction perfect for us. Personal training is available if you want/ need it, but not forced on you which we appreciate! Pam and Chain Reaction fitness are the perfect addition to San Bruno because she values community! We've walked by this place a bunch over the last 5 years that we've lived in the neighborhood but within the last few months there is new ownership and energy and it's definitely worth checking out! We're excited to be part of the Chain Reaction community and encourage anyone thinking about joining to set up a time with Pam to chat. She is friendly, kind, knowledgeable and genuinely looking to build a community of people supporting each other from fitness journeys to beyond!

The model of having the screens showing the exercises, the demo from the instructors at the beginning, and their coaching during the class make this a worthwhile exercise. While the routines here don't feel as intense as the Burkingame location, you absolutely will get a workout. And any class with Dionne or JR will be a great time. Showers, changing rooms, 2 bathrooms, water filling station, lockers (bring your own locks) all available. San Bruno parking has an awful system and aggressive enforcement, so don't forget to pay.

F45 gives me a great mix of similar HIIT-style workouts, but in a more fun, community-driven, and cost-effective format. I love that there are separate cardio and strength days--it keeps things balanced and never boring. Compared to OTF, F45 feels more well-rounded. I do sometimes miss machines, so I'll take a day or two to hit the gym, but F45 is my main workout. This location is conveniently located close to 280/101. It's spacious, clean, the equipment is well maintained and the coaches are always upbeat and supportive. The unlimited pass is also flexible and lets you visit other studios which is convenient when I'm running late from work or traveling. I've checked out F45 in SF, San Mateo, Burlingame, Pittsburgh, and Newport Beach Highly recommend if you want variety, structure, and a strong fitness community.

Every time I've been, there's something new I'm learning or a new form I'm getting down. If you're bored of going to the gym, I recommend this bootcamp to add into your fitness rotation. Whether it's a cardio-focused HIIT day or a slower-paced, low impact strength day, I always feel like I'm dying (in a good way). Even at 5:45 in the morning, Coach Zack and Coach Derrick bring the energy and make the workouts fun. With the motivation of Coach Derrick's throwback jams and Coach Zack cackling at my suffering, I always push myself harder than I thought possible. And you can tell that they really care about helping everyone at all levels of fitness work towards their own goals as they walk around offering form corrections, modifications, or adding to your weights if they think you can do more. Fitness aside, there is also a great sense of community and many people hang out together outside of the workouts too. Also, shoutout to Coach Allen who led the first class I ever tried. Though he's taken a step back from coaching the classes, he was very encouraging and continues to be very accommodating of my schedule for ClassPass!
