After shopping, you can relax and enjoy a casual meal in the bright and spacious in-store café. There are also large tables, and I've seen groups of students using them for studying and meeting up. They offer rental wheelchairs, which is a nice touch. If you're a student living in the UNF dorms or nearby apartments, you can find just about everything you need here. My kids bought many of their dorm essentials from this store when they moved in. We also found the large zippered moving bags to be inexpensive and incredibly useful for move-in day.

Because of the way the different areas (i.e. kitchen, bedroom) are set up, it's also a great place to get ideas. The value here is the point as well. I went ahead and grabbed a bag but didn't realize it must have been caught and ripped in clearance section and some beads had come off so. I called again and the employees held the sequin bag for me to pick it up all of the employees in the store are SO sweet helping me find whatever I need fixing problems and holding items for me so I don't need to hurry into traffic at rush hours while sick. They went above and beyond and are just the sweetest girls and I had to leave a review because so often you go shopping and the store girls don't help you or are cold and the experience is harder then online. However this was just the cutest experience today from like 3-5pm. They're so chipper and helpful that even though I accidentally didn't even check a bag they were happy to help and save the day on top of holding the skirt of my dreams for a few mins! But overall, this mall has definitely seen better days. While the exterior doesn't necessarily reveal the level of aging, when you get inside the mall you noticed pretty quickly but this mall is likely on it's downturn. There are several closed, or seemingly closed stores, and most of the traffic seems relegated to a couple of the larger department stores like H&M and Belk. A lot of empty kiosks in the middle of the walkway with the rest of them being occupied by local vendors that didn't seem to be getting much business at all. And if teenagers are still headed to malls on Saturday's to hang out, this is clearly not the mall that most of the local teenagers here hang out in as the traffic was surprisingly light for a Saturday - I just realized that may appeal to certain readers of this review. Lol. Anyway, unless you are visiting a specific store in this mall as a destination, I would probably suggest finding one of Jacksonvilles bigger malls for a true mall experience.

This is a fine place for business travel…read more I spent a week in Jacksonville, and my company booked me at the Sheraton. Thankfully, the hotel block still recognized my Marriott account, so at least I got credit for that stay. Customer service was pretty good. Very friendly front desk staff. My room, a standard king, was fine. Clean, functional for a single business traveler with a desk and an arm chair with a small table. The bed was good, not great (definitely not a Westin Heavenly bed!). The pillows were awful, kept me from a comfortable sleep. The air conditioning was pretty loud, as was the plumbing. I had a hard time sleeping through the night because of the AC and also the sounds of nearby rooms using their bathrooms throughout the evening and early morning. Housekeeping skipped my room one day even though I was out of the room for more than 6 hours. Weird. Also, my mobile key never worked despite going down to the front desk twice. The gym was basic but airy and clean. There was no water in the cooler when I went down the first time, so I remembered to bring a bottle of water from my room during the second visit. There's an indoor pool, but I did not try it out. Breakfast was included in my room rate. Service was friendly, but they were understaffed. The coffee wasn't good, and the servers forgot to bring me cream 2 out of the 4 mornings. The buffet was pretty small with the usual American breakfast standards. On some mornings, there was a make your own waffle bar, which was nice. Would I pay for the breakfast on my own if it weren't included with the room? Probably not - I'd probably walk across the street to the Lucky Goat for coffee and something from the bakery. The location was fine. Close to the business parks in the area, although not quite close enough to walk (in heels). There are a handful of restaurants in the area within walking distance. Lots of parking and a couple EV chargers right in front.

This means you can return to a stuffy room with a stale smell. That's the only thing I didn't like. P

I took it to go to enjoy in the hotel room later that evening, and was amazed at how delicious it was. It was so good that when I saw a J. Alexander's in Arizona, I made a visit though they didn't have on the menu. PLEASE add the cheesecake as a regular menu item! This would make J. Alexander's the perfect restaurant for me. As a foodie, this is one of the highest remarks. The restaurants are beautiful inside, and the service at both locations has been friendly. But I do wish it came with more toppings like lettuce and tomato. We also got the cajun seafood pasta since it looks like that's a popular pick. I really liked the sauce. And they give a good amount of shrimp. But I found myself wanting the pasta to be a little overcooked. But take that with a grain of salt because we ordered takeout. It's probably better if you dine in and eat it right when it's ready.

I met Dawn several years ago in RI at her place of business. She has relocated to Florida, and when…read moreshe recently opened her Herbal Shop I placed an order through her website for a a calming tea, calendula oil for skin care and lavender bath salts. We chatted through her social media page because I would like her to make something specific due to a skin sensitivity to some ingredients. She assures me that yes, she can change up ingredients to fit my needs. Yea! In a couple of days the package was in the mail and delivered quickly! Everything was wrapped up securely and arrived intact! She even sent me a message to be sure it arrived safely as the P.O., at the time of the order, was a bit back logged and she wanted to assure me it was on it's way. I often take an Epsom salt bath for back pain and the addition of her lavender bath salts is delightful. There are bits of lavender in the mix and it's soooo soothing to have the gentle scent added to the occasion. I have to take the bath anyhow, it may as well be an event! The bath salts are packaged in a sturdy glass container that will come in very handy for storing other bits and bobs when the bath salts are used. I have been using the calendula oil in the evenings to help with skin smoothing. I use a cotton swab to get just a bit and rub it into those tiny lines around the eyes, mouth and basically all over my face. I also use it for first aid on minor scratches; which I do seem to get a lot of. I'm not exactly graceful or dainty. Burns I have managed to acquire from cooking also get a daub of this stuff as well as any dry skin patch (hello feet) and her website states this is good on diaper rash. Give this item a look as it's uses are many and varied! The tea is very mellow and on these cold winter nights, a nice addition to my bedtime routine. It's a loose tea and I have a couple of loose tea infusers, but if you don't, a small mesh strainer would work. Pour the steeped tea through the mesh to keep the tea leaves out of your cup. It doesn't take much product to make a nice cup of tea. It's almost time to place another order with Dawn. Her website includes directions to the brick-and-mortar location, a 'shop' with product information and a 'contact us' section to easily send her a message. The physical shop recently moved to Precision Medicine, 3546 St. Johns Bluff Road S, Suite 108 if you are in the area and want to stop by. If you are keeping socially distant just now, place an order online! Her inventory includes face cream, hand sanitizer, a variety of teas, sun protection, lotion bars, oils for a variety of uses including massage, salves, balms, Elderberry syrup, and baby powder, Click on the item photo in the 'shop' to see the list of ingredients. From what I've seen they are organic. That lotion bar looks to be a 'must have' item! If you don't see what you need, or like me have a skin sensitivity to an ingredient, send her a note and ask if she can make something for you. What have you got to loose? You can find her social media page here: https://www.facebook.com/dawnspotions Now, where did I put that list of things to buy from Dawn? . . .

There was a special where you could have a simple well drink for about 8 dollars, so I took a bourbon and diet soda. When it was given, not only the bourbon was watered down, but also the soda. It was acceptable as it had a small buzz and still refreshing. I ordered the bbq chicken flatbread (11 dollars) for my food as I just wanted light food and was waiting for the tow truck driver as well. Thankfully it came quickly, but I made the mistake of eating a slice immediately. It was quite hot and I burned my mouth a bit when eating it. I waited some time and while the flatbread was piping hot, the flavors didn't work that right. I tasted mostly bbq sauce, even though there was some chicken and corn as toppings. It was filling and fair for the price. The next day, I had a mule for 8 dollars as well. It was refreshing, but watered downed too. I couldn't complain much as the prices were reasonable for this hotel. My bartender was good and friendly. The food came quick, which I appreciated. I mostly talked to other patrons at the bar, and the dining area wasn't crowded at all. There was outdoor seating as well in the back patio, and I remember seeing a connect four game to play. For a hotel restaurant, I found the food and drinks to be acceptable for the price. It was nothing extraordinary, but fair. I would really give this 3.5 stars out of 5, but rounding up because I am biased in favor of the Marriott chains. While I would rather fine at other local restaurants, I would visit again for a quick bite at the hotel.
