There's a large parking lot that's easy to get in and out of. The restrooms are always clean, making this a convenient place for families with kids and seniors as well. After shopping, you can relax and enjoy a casual meal in the bright and spacious in-store café. There are also large tables, and I've seen groups of students using them for studying and meeting up. They offer rental wheelchairs, which is a nice touch. If you're a student living in the UNF dorms or nearby apartments, you can find just about everything you need here. My kids bought many of their dorm essentials from this store when they moved in. We also found the large zippered moving bags to be inexpensive and incredibly useful for move-in day. read more

Going to IKEA is an event. First, the biggest secret is that if you're just there to try some of their unique food and Marketplace selections, there is a side door entrance, where you can go straight to that area. If you're looking for furniture, decor, lighting or functional items for your home, you'll find it here. Because of the way the different areas (i.e. kitchen, bedroom) are set up, it's also a great place to get ideas. The value here is the point as well. If you're willing to put it together (or pay to have it done), you can find very reasonably priced home goods here with a unique Swedish flair. Who doesn't like IKEA? Well aside from the Swedish designs that shows practicality even in small spaces, there are various products at good value and that are very useful inside your home. My favorite of course, is the Food Court and love the Chili Verde Chicken with rice and beans. It is so delicious! This is a review for their restaurant, given that that is usually the area of any IKEA I tend to patronize. After all, that little slab of salmon sometimes calls. The reality is that you can go to IKEA for foods suitable for breakfast and for foods more typical of lunch or dinner. At this IKEA, I opted for breakfast food. The breakfast combination with the Swedish pancakes with cranberry sauce is a good value and this is a decent option if you aren't being served breakfast and are nearby. Also, with the IKEA Family Card, coffee or tea are free. Even though it's cafeteria fare, the food is reliable and tasty enough. The service was mostly okay, with some employees seeming a little disengaged. However, after having the food dished out and going through the cashiering area, you really don't need much in the way of service. In looking at the menu, most prices have gone up, albeit still fair, but the most glaring one was that of the veggie medallions. Is the price shown for 2 of them, like the graphics on the back lit menu board? Still, that's not that great of a deal for items that disappear in three bites. This IKEA is smartly located off the JTB near St. John's Town Center and the many newer condo complexes. The parking lot is vast. Also, I noticed something about this IKEA I've rarely seen before: being a single level store, the restaurant can be accessed from within the store and also directly from the exterior. This can be especially useful since the restaurant hours are sometimes slightly different from those of the store. This was my first time going to IKEA and it was very overwhelming, but fun. It's a cool place to get some decorating ideas and there's an amazing selection of everything home related. The prices are very reasonable for most of the items I wanted. And if you're on a budget, this is definitely a place to consider. The customer service at the snack bar was fantastic and welcoming. I picked up a milk chocolate and dark chocolate bar because it was recommended. I also tried their meatballs and jelly ensemble for a quick bite. Not bad. Overall, I enjoyed my first trip to this location and definitely like the hands-off approach while browsing through the showrooms. Be careful... you might get lost. This place is HUGE! read more

We used the self serve machines to pick up items not held on floor, asked the worker for help and they said yep order and pay and they will bring out to u in a few minutes waited 20 or so for a very nasty girl to tell us we grabbed one but the other will not be ready til we close at 8! We were visiting from out of town a 2 hour drive so we were not willing to wait 3 or so hours for an item we were told would be ready in a few minutes. I tried to order this book case (Wine glasses and martini glass case). They kept trying to deliver it to me in Vegas. Changed my address, all I wanted to do is order and pick it up. Finally, I just gave up. Took a picture of the isle my case was on. I don't really do Ikea like that. Only cause it's such a maze. I told my niece, girl, we are going to walk in circles so be prepared. So we thought we were in the area, the tag said, we were in section 1, but it looked like it should be in this area. No one was around. I was already getting frustrated. Finally we found someone. I showed him the isle and the row. He said, sooooo we have a short cut, huhhhh, yea, are you ready to go to the item you want or are you still shopping. Take us to the item please. So we went through these double doors. I thought this was for employees only. Perfect, he said just find the isle no. and the row, cool! Found the item, it was a lot taller than what I was expecting. Wow, I'm glad I didn't drive my car it wouldn't have fit. So we spoke with Randy, really nice guy that worked in that department. We told him what kind of car, he said yes it will fit, you might have to put the seat down and rest it on the console in the middle next to the driver. Then the more I thought about it, maybe I don't want one that big. We saw a shorter one, but it was too short ( Kinda like the 3 bears) I wanted one in between those 2 sizes. All that we could do is add another one on top that was smaller, but I wouldn't be able to add the glass doors. So that didn't work. I went with the original plan. Randy was amazing, and of course you see other items your interested in while walking through the maze. But this was enough. I went to Ikea for the first time last weekend. I had no idea what to expect. I was there looking for kitchen ideas as I'm getting ready to update mine. I had no idea you had to walk through every department in order to exit the store. Wow, was I tired. When we made it to the restaurant, I thought we were almost done. Nope, still lots more to go lol! I didn't buy anything as I wasn't impressed. I did stop in the restaurant and had a treat and a water. I enjoyed my dessert trio. The restaurant was my favorite part because I could sit down for a minute;) I also didn't like the four-wheel drive cart as it hurt my lower back. My friend bought a few kitchen items. I looked around, but after an hour, I was ready to go! Not sure I'll go back as I don't think I will miss anything. Everyone we've talked with at IKEA has always been so helpful. One of the ladies that works around the closet design area helped us with a full design for our closet. Without her I don't think we could have achieved the same result of ordering the right products! My wife also likes to pick up the EKOLOGISK SYLT LINGON LINGONBERRY FRUIT. Lots of things to look at with an "in home" style set up that allows you to envision what things will look like at home. Ikea offers any home item you can think of or possibly need. From kitchen, bedroom, kids rooms, living room, guest rooms, office needs all the way to pets ikea has you covered. The staff are super helpful when it comes to finding things too! We also love that they have a Cafe that offers different foods. I absolutely love the veggie dog! *I'm not a vegetarian* but I'll go to ikea just for their veggie dog! I love IKEA! Usually we have something in mind that we're looking for, but it's so fun to just browse the showrooms. Also a great way to get your steps in when it's 100 degrees outside lol! We visited twice in the last few months and had a great experience both times. The warehouse at the end is finally stocked. During covid times they were sold out of everything, but now it's easy to find everything you were interested in at the end. Something we tried for the first time was using their self check screens. The one glass cabinet we wanted did not have a bin to retrieve it from at the end. It said to type the product on the computer and then it sent a code to our phone. At the check out, the cashier scans your phone and then you pick it up from another section. I've never done that before, but it was quick and easy. After shopping and taking everything to the car, we went back in for lunch. The ikea cafeteria is such a funny experience. We got in line with a bunch of other hungry people with a cart that pushes your tray of food. It weaves you past a big dessert case and you just take out what you want. Of course we picked up a caramel almond cake/apple crumble bar combo ($5), then we picked up side salads (1.99 each). They are famous for their meatballs, but I was happy to see veggie balls and plant based balls. My boyfriend got chicken tenders with fries and I got veggie balls in a romesco sauce with cauliflower rice. Our total for everything was $25. This isn't anything fancy, but the food was good! Especially when you are hangry after furniture shopping. All of the employees are over the top nice and the cafeteria dining area is nice too. We had a fun day here! read more

All I wanted was their Swedish Meatballs! Well, I have been warned before... . It was my first time going into an IKEA ever, and the warnings were true - you will feel lost, and you will just not walk out of the store getting just meatballs. Despite the warnings, it was overall a positive experience for my husband and I. This particular IKEA store is a single-story building and it's huge! You'll walk through each "home" section, find some deals and even build ideas to furnish your home. It's like walking through a giant maze full of home furniture, but I personally think it's a genius "milk and eggs" type of layout. You'll probably want to buy everything you see! There are directional arrows leading to the next section, which kinda helps to know what's next. It does make you decide whether you'll walk faster to the following area, depending on what you're looking for. We finally got to the restaurant section which is in the middle of the store, enjoyed my Swedish Meatballs (which is yummy btw) and my husband got his chicken tenders. Please note that serving portions may be small to some, so you may want to do a double order. Foodservice is cafeteria-style, you grab your tray, grab your drinks, go through the line to order your food and choose your sides, pay the cashier, then secure a table. After eating, then more browsing (or shopping)! We figured out that there are some shortcut exit doors if you want to skip some sections. We ended up with a pantry basket, real and faux plants for decoration, plant pots, duvet cover sets (which is 100% cotton by the way), mixing bowls, trivets, and chocolates for dessert! They don't have plastic or paper bags so you'd need to bring your own or buy their extra-large reusable bags, or just throw your stuff in your trunk. There are items on display but don't expect them to be always available for purchase. There are items that are out of stock due to the current supply chain issues. However, this very nice sales representative (whom I forgot the name, but I know loves the group ABBA) suggested being on their waitlist so that we can get the notification when the item we like arrives. All their workers are nice, and always carry friendly smiles on their faces. This makes the grueling maze tour tolerable. Lol! Parking is huge, but this place is busy! We went here on a Sunday, and I'm sure the weekend might be a factor too. Before we planned to visit IKEA, I made sure to sign up for their IKEA Family Card. You'll get coupons, discounts, and be in the know about what's new. They also have an app where you can order some items to be delivered, browse and favorite items that you'd want to purchase in the future and see past purchases. We bought the backsalen 1.5 chair and they had the fabric cover packaging in the wrong spot as the frame and the fabric covering are sold separate, so we ended up buying the cover for the backsalen couch instead in the color we wanted... (why they are naming different items with the same name was not known, we are not ikea employees). We then get home put the chair together and come to the consensus about the wrong cover being bought. We take the cover back literally 4 days later to exchange for the correct item. They then proceed to tell us that the backsalen 1.5 chair we bought does not have any covers available as the item is being disconutued and there will be no restocks. (There were ZERO signs or notifications that the item was being discontinued and that this was the case)- furthermore even tho it says the cover is available in other cities due to limited supplies left- ikea refuses to ship from stores in different cities which doesn't even make sense. I chatted with the very slow customer support process they have online and was instructed to purchase a cover from another love seat they offer that would not fit the chair we have WHATS SO EVER. I brought this up and the service agent tells me to not travel to other cities as they only have 7 left of the actual covers at that store so quantity isn't guaranteed. My question is why are they allowing a chair to be sold that has zero covers to cover the chair... makes zero sense and when trying to find alternatives they tell you you're out of luck and the only option is to disassemble the entire thing and return it to the store. IKEA is a joke. I'm going to attach a picture of what the chair looks like without the cover it's literally fireproof material you'd expect on an unappolstered cushion. I have always enjoyed IKEA. They offer inexpensive things for the home. They also have some pretty decent Swedish meatballs. The store is definitely large, but I've never found it overly intimidating. Instead, it is actually pretty cool to walk to the store and see the various things that they could offer you. It might even have you becoming somewhat of an interior decorator I'm thinking what would look cool in certain rooms of your home. What is a big selling points of IKEA is the pricing. Can get some very good deals here. However, keep in mind that certain items are priced appropriately and might not be of the supreme quality you are looking for. Still, dollar-for-dollar, there are some very good deal to be found. Parking is rather accommodating. While the store is extremely large, so is the parking lot. I definitely would visit here again I would recommend that you do so, as well. read more

Last month IKEA installed three pantry cabinets in my home. There was a delay in receiving some of the parts. There was even a question that some parts might have been discontinued. Hats off to Tatyana and her team, they worked tirelessly to locate the parts and make sure I had everything I needed for Gil and his crew when they came to install. The installation was seamless.The cabinets look great and are doing exactly what I wanted. The delay was frustrating, but not for the service, they did all they could to locate the missing bits. Just an FYI you are responsible for disposing of the cardboard packing and trash. I visited IKEA on Saturday. I'll first say, weekends are so crowded and I'm not sure why that thought didn't dawn on us before visiting. While the parking lot is huge, it was packed to the gills, but luckily we were able to find parking. I thought it was crowded in the parking lot....it was equally packed inside. If crowds aren't your thing, I'd totally recommend coming on more of an off day like on a weekday. Masks are required to enter into IKEA. I recommend coming in with some type of plan if you're on a schedule, because one can waste TONS of time in IKEA just browsing and it's super easy to get sidetracked. We came in looking for LEGO storage, which means you have to go through almost the entire store to get to the storage section. Arrows are leading the way to get you through the IKEA maze. After about thirty minutes, copious amounts of people, we got to the storage section. The section was wiped out. I'm assuming due to New Years resolutions. What did I wind up getting? Toilet brushes....at $.99 this is a steal, so I bought four and three dish brushes at $1.99 a piece. Checkout was a breeze, but there was a line, so just beware. My notes on the cafeteria: I was disappointed, though feeling sick at the time might have hurt my enjoyment. I wouldn't get many of the dishes we tried again. I did like the $1.49 gooey chocolate cake, though it was very small. My wife also liked her chicken tenders, which did seem tasty to me. I wouldn't repeat the meatballs (weak mashed potatoes and peas, though my wife liked the lingonberry sauce) or the cheesecake. The salmon, and perhaps smoked salmon, are often recommended, so I might try them if I come again; the Daim cake has also been recommended, though we didn't see it available. We spent $26 for two. That was an adult and a child entree, two desserts, and two sodas. They upsold me on the meatballs: they asked if I wanted 8, 12, or 16 meatballs, so I just chose the middle one. I was surprised by their question, should have said no, and don't think they should be upselling people. They also have a fast-food place near the entrance/exit, and it seemed cheap, a bit like a Costco food court: $2 pizza slices and ¢75 hot dogs. I might try that if I go there in the future. We did get some wooden hangers on sale that were a good value: $11 for 16 of them. This wasn't a shopping trip, however: we just wanted to see the place and eat at their famous cafeteria. read more

What's not to love about IKEA! I bought my daughter sliding doors for her closet and blinds for her window. You can find just about anything here. We bought my nephews their dinosaur stuffed animals and our cat a stuffed rat that he loves. I got myself a lovely salad bowl and some hangers for my closet. My mom got storage containers for herself. Seriously you can find anything you need here all While getting in your steps and have a delicious cup of coffee and ice cream. read more

I have been shopping at the Jacksonville IKEA since they opened. This is the worst shopping experience I have experienced there. No one around to assist unless you walk around for 3-5 minutes looking for someone; I needed to find a simple product they carry (furniture corner protectors), and it took me three different floor people to find them. The first two told me the wrong area, and the last one found it for me. Then I tried to find the packages of their new veggie hot dogs, stood at the first floor food stand (where they sell them prepared) for almost 5 minutes and no one was there, only to find an associate sales person that said, "Oh, they left early today at 3 pm". No sign saying they were closed, all the lights were on, who in the heck is supposed to know there is no one working behind the counter. I asked this person to assist me in finding the frozen veggie dogs, and she picked up the frozen "sausages" and said it was the same thing. I informed her it was not the same packaging and said "sausages", not "hot dogs" on the package, and she stated that the "sausages" were the same as the "hot dogs," and if I didn't like them I could return them for a refund. I informed her it would be a hardship to return them as I live approximately 25 miles from IKEA, and would not be sensible for me to make a special trip just for that. I then asked her for someone who was familiar with that area to ensure these were the same product, and she couldn't. Really?! She reasssured me they were the same product, so I reluctantly bought them. I was in a hurry and wanted to avoid the rush hour traffic, but there was no sense of service - actually NO service at the registers, all "self serve". There were many registers for cashiers, but not a one was open. One of my items my husband picked up in the marketplace was marked down and would not ring up, so then we had to wait another 5 minutes for someone to find one that was not a "display" item; my husband said that the one we tried to ring up was the only one on the shelf when he picked it up. We finally went to our vehicle, and I quickly looked up ONLINE if the IKEA veggie hot dogs and veggie sausages at IKEA were the same product, and the answer was NO. I was very upset at the associate that told me they were the same product, and I was only buying them mostly for my granddaughter or I wouldn't have gone to this length. GOOD LUCK trying to call this location, you will always get someone who does not appear to be on the mainland of the US. They won't give you the local store number and give you lip service just like the associate at the store, who seemed very proud to tell me she was the "Customer Service Manager". The only pleasant part of this visit was the restaurant. The employees there are always helpful and friendly with pretty decent food. I used to enjoy shopping at IKEA, but no more. read more

This place is huge of course and I have to say I was exhausted from the walk. Definitely love the ideas of how you can put items and rooms together. Had no idea of the restaurant and the little bistro on the ways out. Staff was really nice, facility was clean. My only issue is everything we would have purchased was out unavailable and there was no clear time on when the items may be received. For one item we were put on a email list. IKEA. We all know what it is. This one is no different from the rest for the most part. I've been here several times and they keep it nice and clean. The dining room is nice, I love all the room set ups they have. The pull it yourself is probably worth it to save some money. Eye Doctor starbecause the last two times I've been there we waited in line for a very long time. The shortest line had 12 people in front of me. There was only three registers open on a Saturday afternoon. That's just unacceptable. I'm not even sure what they were thinking. I literally called them and complain because they were so many employees milling around but nobody was bothering to take care of people. The furniture is what it is, you know it's not necessarily the heaviest duty quality but it is OK. No I love this furniture in my house is full of it and if you treat it right then it will treat you right.
