If I could give 3.5 stars I would. This place is not bad at all! Great location, about a 20 minute drive from downtown, but there are some chain places to go to in this area. It's relatively clean and new, my only complaint was the shower. There were black speckles in the tub that made me uncomfortable, thank goodness for my traveling Lysol! The bed was comfy and big, but our view wasn't the best. The walls are not reinforced, we could hear our neighbors /' the bathroom is not soundproof. I will say that I would totally stay here again if I'm traveling. We felt safe in this area and the inside was nice enough for a hotel snob like me (lol). Great value for your money. There isn't breakfast or coffee? You need to order from the restaurant on site

Continental breakfast. Free but you can upgrade to a buffet for $5

Really nice hotel! The decor and layout is awesome! Staff is super friendly and helpful Rooms are really nice and clean. Continental breakfast included but you can upgrade to the buffet for only $5. Standard stuff but good. Very nice place to stay and close to a huge shopping center with lots of food choices.

Good place to stay for a quick visit in Jacksonville. Rooms are comfortable and clean. There's a restaurant, bar, fitness center, and pool.

I highly recommend this hotel. The customer service exceeded my expectations. I made an error and double booked the hotel room for this weekend. I was at a loss because both charges were charged to my card and it was almost $1,600. If I would have had to pay both of those, it would have been a financial hardship. My sister drive all the way from North Carolina to help celebrate her nephew's 6th birthday. Laneece and Eureka were Super advocates in helping me reach out to the 3rd party and get a cancellation on one of the reservations. I am so grateful for their assistance and so is Alex... That's definitely one great birthday present.

Untucked sheets in a poorly made med. motel 6 does better than this.

I wish there was a way to give negative stars. Where do we begin? A group of 7 people shows up with two people working the counter. We each got served one at a time while the other just stood and talked to someone else who works the hotel. Get into a dingy room to find the sad excuse for a closet has 3 pant hangers and not a single clothes hanger for your shirts. Want to call guest services and ask for some hangers? You can't, the phone doesn't connect. What does connect is the thermostat that clicks loudly to communicate with the wall heater that clicks back. I love when technology audibly and loudly talks with each other across the room. Clicking in stereo. By this point I am fed up so I go to wash up for the night. Hair in the sink, dirty tub floor, and bacteria growing in the corners. Ok. I need a drink. It's 11:25 the bar closes at 12:00pm a drink will make this awful place slightly less awful. Nope. The bartender has gone home early. Didn't feel like finishing out their shift. When hotel was asked they had no explanation other than "it happens" and with a clearly upset customer, who has now been to the lobby twice, as I go to the elevator with used tissues on the floor and peeling tiles, I hear the condescending "good night boss." Float across the lobby. I will make it my mission to keep people from staying here. I will encourage every co worker I have to avoid this plague and as soon as I am back to headquarters will contact corporate travel to have this hotel removed from our list. Proximity is the only thing this dingy hostel has going for it. Run, run from here and never return.

We recently stayed at the Sheraton for 2 nights (Jan 2021) Our room was great- large, clean, perfect size for the 4 of us. Comfy beds, bright bathroom, Loved having an indoor pool to play around with, esp in January. The pool had an option to turn on jets and another option to put on a swim jet that you can swim against. The gym was clean and was well equipped with cardio machines (bikes, tread mills, ellipticals, etc) and plenty of weights- machines and free weights. The overall hotel is great. Welcoming lobby, indoor pool, restaurant, gym, clean rooms. The location is great because it is right off the exit and is so close to so many stores and restaurants. During covid, there were plenty of signs directing people to wear masks.

The hotel and room were very nice. However, I booked this specific hotel, because it had an indoor pool. The pool was unusable. Staff was apologetic, but offered no compensation for the problem.

Yelp ticket winners for the SuperHero Brunch!

Its a great location! It is in the heart of a busy business district in SE Jacksonville. It serves as a great central point for out of towners and event attenders. They do a lot of large events that go on in Jacksonville throughout the year due to its address. There is the St. Johns Town Center with all there great shopping and restaurants just down the road and a IKEA for those who are IKEA obsessed. If you like to read its next door to a library and the YMCA is in walking distance. I have been to several events here such as the SuperHero Brunch by Yelp and a event called "BaconFest" for a couple of years and have observed them in action. Their patio area is lovely and the bar service is friendly and quick. They have a great Sheraton team in getting the job done!

Maintenance of the hotel is terrible. Had to change rooms due to AC noise issues. Needs an URGENT UPGRADE. Do not recommend.

Easy access to the water taxi for other events was definitely an added plus. The DoubleTree Riverfront hotel deserves a 10++ for everything they did! The hotel staff was amazing and every single person went above and beyond, and directly aided the reason for the reunion's success, and we do mean every single person! Sara, the sales professional was extremely responsive, easy to work with and connected us to the right people to work with. Apollo managed the banquet room, and he knows the event business. He was directly responsible for all the interworking's of our large banquet, technical requirements and success of the banquet. His help in the PA/sound system and up-lighting was instrumental in making the event a success! He even created a custom menu for our attendees to review prior to entering the buffet. Last minute requests?...No problem! Judy made the buffet dinner run flawlessly. She released all the tables in systematic order getting everyone through the line in record time. The dinner was served on time and it was great! Hat's off to the chef and team! We had some ADA veterans and those who had a little more difficult time moving, so Judy had the staff serve the dessert, a very honorable and much appreciative gesture on her part. We couldn't thank her enough! Kevin, Joe, Troy, Michele plus the bartender were outstanding in flipping the room for the banquet and setting up the room's tables and chair covers. All had amazing attitudes and took care of every detail requested. Ezzy and her staff in the breakfast room simply excelled in their service. They made us all feel so welcomed and the food was very good. We talked to several attendees at the banquet and a common theme was how extraordinary all the hotel staff (and I mean all) was, hands down great. A big thank you to everyone and DoubleTree family!!!

A lot could improve! I stayed here over the past weekend in a balcony Riverfront suite. Initially…read morethe room was barely clean and I had to submit a request to reclean. The reviews list it as a 4star hotel. It is really giving 2 star motel. The room was very antiquated. The 1970s arm chair was stained and filthy. It looked like a thrift store purchase. The carpet could stand to be shampooed or replaced. The room was not equipped with a microwave or mini fridge. They had vending machines on each floor that contain nothing but sold out pop and and an ice machine. In the lobby was a snack area where a bag of small size doritos were 6.00. I had no hot water my entire stay. It was very noisy. All night long you could hear the heavy old fashion doors slam. The heater in my room smelled like a hair blow dryer that was about to give out. It was also very loud and took a long time to heat the space. Parking is also a little expensive $30 a day to self park. Considering it is attached to the hotel you would think this would be complimentary to your stay. Staff was very pleasant. The lobby decor was ok and the view was nice. Those are the only compliments I can give. I enjoy The Hilton portfolio but would NEVER stay at this location again. I just expected more from a 4-star hotel. P.s. I am waiting to see if I actually receive a 3 day voucher from corporate in the mail as they promised.
