The food was hot and ready; it only took about 2 mins to prepare and serve our meal. I ordered the large Curry Chicken & Oxtail plate with white rice and cabbage; my friend ordered the same minus the Curry Chicken and the Mac & Cheese. To a pleasant surprise the food tasted just like I was in the hills of St. Catherine Jamaica bringing back memories. It was a warm memory of home. I topped the meal off with a tall bottle of guava and carrot punch and also a cold water on the side. The food without having to brag much was a maxing, I will be cake once again to Jacksonville and I will have to stop by this establishment to get a little taste of home. The vibes of the restaurant were cool and relaxing, the dining area quiet and clean to include the restroom. I ended up staying at this establishment for over two hours studying and laughing outside while enjoying my meal, the staff was super nice, and I have to say they checked on my table a few times just to make sure we were ok. With some small take I got to know one of staff members was from my area from back home we went to the same schools and grew up in the same community. Overall, I rate this establishment 5 out of 5 stars for the food and the hominess. Big up yuh-self Taste of Jamaica, job well done! The Oxtails was amazing; I will return shortly for a second plate!

I love everything about this restaurant and the owners the jerk pork definitely my favoriteread more

After shopping, you can relax and enjoy a casual meal in the bright and spacious in-store café. There are also large tables, and I've seen groups of students using them for studying and meeting up. They offer rental wheelchairs, which is a nice touch. If you're a student living in the UNF dorms or nearby apartments, you can find just about everything you need here. My kids bought many of their dorm essentials from this store when they moved in. We also found the large zippered moving bags to be inexpensive and incredibly useful for move-in day.

If you're looking for furniture, decor, lighting or functional items for your home, you'll find it here. Because of the way the different areas (i.e. kitchen, bedroom) are set up, it's also a great place to get ideas. The value here is the point as well. If you're willing to put it together (or pay to have it done), you can find very reasonably priced home goods here with a unique Swedish flair. The staff in all areas has always been very helpful and friendly. Reserve a few hours here to explore. You'll find something you love.

Sushi was a regular part of my routine, easily twice a week, so I've had my fair share and I know what good sushi is supposed to taste like. Since moving to Jacksonville, I've been searching for that same level of quality and consistency, and I kept coming up short... until I found this place. This is it. This is my spot. From the moment the food hit the table, you could tell there was a different level of care here. The presentation is clean and intentional, not over the top, just done right. The fish tastes fresh, the rice is balanced, and every roll feels like it was put together with purpose. What really stood out to me is that they don't try to cover everything in heavy sauces or overpower the flavors. Everything is balanced. You can actually taste the quality of the ingredients, which is rare. It's not trying too hard, it's just really good sushi done the way it should be. I've tried a few different things now, and everything has been consistent. That matters to me more than anything. When you find a place that delivers every time, you stick with it. The overall experience was great too. Good energy, solid service, and you feel taken care of without it being forced or over the top. If you're someone who actually knows sushi, or you're just looking for a place that's a step above everything else around here, this is the place. No question. I'll be coming back regularly.

Hidden Gem in Jacksonville! Better than Orlando!…read more My daughter and I absolutely loved our dinner here! We're in Jacksonville for work and were so glad to find Kiku open on a Monday night. The sushi and ramen were both incredible. My daughter actually said this was one of the best bowls of ramen she's ever had--even better than the spots we've tried in Orlando! The presentation is truly top-notch; every dish was a feast for the eyes as well as the tastebuds (the dry ice effect on the sushi and the floral garnishes were such a cool touch!). The staff was incredibly hospitable and made us feel right at home. We will definitely be back next time we are in the area!

But overall, this mall has definitely seen better days. While the exterior doesn't necessarily reveal the level of aging, when you get inside the mall you noticed pretty quickly but this mall is likely on it's downturn. There are several closed, or seemingly closed stores, and most of the traffic seems relegated to a couple of the larger department stores like H&M and Belk. A lot of empty kiosks in the middle of the walkway with the rest of them being occupied by local vendors that didn't seem to be getting much business at all. And if teenagers are still headed to malls on Saturday's to hang out, this is clearly not the mall that most of the local teenagers here hang out in as the traffic was surprisingly light for a Saturday - I just realized that may appeal to certain readers of this review. Lol. Anyway, unless you are visiting a specific store in this mall as a destination, I would probably suggest finding one of Jacksonvilles bigger malls for a true mall experience.
