The old casket company is just that - an old casket company. Nothing spectacular ever happened there. The line was long, the music was too loud and there was not much of a scary atmosphere in the waiting area. The music appears to be from a band they are trying to promote. The scenes were not scary and other than an occasional actor jumping out there was not much to see. The actors kept trying to get us to pick up the pace. I enjoy looking at the scenes and did not want to run through each one. It was OK but it did not live up to its advertising hype. There was nothing to see in the "outdoor garden" area. read more

Went tonight. Had VIP tickets and waited about an hour but well worth it! We were terrified. We ended up huddled with total strangers. Many times we were left blinded in complete darkness, only to hear the breathing of the creepers in the room. You're not suppose to run but I ran at one point. Reflexes got the best of me and I couldn't help myself (for a visual, I'm a mid 40's mom...I'm sure I looked ridiculous). I've been to Statesville and Basement of the Dead. This one was the best. I gotta say that is not that bad, BUT they never tell you that you cannot touch the characters(even a hair[and I'm serious]) because they'll kick you out oh and besides that you may also get insulted! And also if you write this kind of stuff on their fb page they'll deleted it instead of accepting the feedback nicely and work on it so it doesn't happen again!!! So we wen't there last Saturday night, 10/25/14, we got there about 7:30 and stood in line outside for about 30 minutes, not bad we thought. Get up to the door and they let us in to get our tickets. We had a groupon for basically half off. Redeemed our tickets, went through the door and around a corner thinking we were ready to go in only to find another line in a turn-style fashion. We ended up being in that line for another hour and 45 minutes. The line barely moved so not sure how they could not get people through it. Once we got in to the actual haunted house, they had a very creepy beginning, perfect misdirection, very cool, I thought we were in for a very scary time. This being my daughters first haunted house I have to say I was very disappointed in the tactics the rest of the way through. Hardly any more misdirection, mostly just people standing around in rooms almost like the undead, no jumping out and scaring you really. Have to say I would not go back to this haunted house again, I am glad we did not pay full price. read more

We got there at 1030 on a saturday night. We left the place at 130. We waited in line for over 2 HOURS. They had people there trying to scare you, but after 2 hours of being in line, they get boring. I was disappointed that the wait ruined the actual haunted house. I was never really scared during the house. I'm not sure if thats from my personality or if it was because I was so tired. We used a groupon, so it was around $10 each, but it was still not even worth that. It has great potential, but the wait was ridiculous. Average haunted house at best. It amazed me at how incredibly rude the employees were. A member of my party was constantly being insulted despite our request for the employee to stop. You could easily find another haunted house that gets you into the Halloween spirit without adding on their personal sh-tty comments. Don't waste your money on this house. Look elsewhere. read more

First of all I want to start by saying I don't understand if the other reviews are from people who work for Evil Intentions or who have never experienced a good Haunted House. This was the WORST Haunted House experience ever. My friend and I bought our ticket on Groupon for $25.00 for admission for us both. We figured this was a great deal since Haunts usually are $20.00 for 1 Ticket. When we got to Evil Intentions last night at 8:00 pm we were told the wait would be around 1 Hour.. Sure.... Our total waiting time was 3.5 HOURS!!!. and no bathrooms outside or inside. While waiting there were ONLY 3 cast members who tried to entertain us. Very weak... Upon entering the Haunt at 11:30 pm(After the 3.5 Hour Wait) you walk through different corridors and see very few props and few actors. THE WORST DISPLAYS and ACTING. NOT SCARY and VERY CHEESY. The Total time to walk through was 20 Minutes. I wish it was less since it was so Horrible. Normally we wouldn't take the time to write a review but we trust YELP and want to warn others!!! Don't let them Fool you into thinking buying the "VIP" Pass is the way to go. Just More $ and a Little Faster Way to a Miserable Time. read more

this is definitely one of the better haunts I have been to the do a great job of using the space they are in I like the fact that they use the courtyard in the center of the building as part of your walk thru the actors are well trained and really get into character all around great job guys I will be back year after year read more

When the main tactic of a haunted house is terrifying children even after they are crying and degrading customers, you know it's not good. The group i went with had two children of 12 years old who enjoy haunted houses but the actors were relentless and forced one kid to tears. On top of that the employee that explains the rules in the first room was insulting to a man calling him degrading names even after it was made clear no one was amused. Not good. It's pretty much the same as it was like 4 years ago when I went. Very disappointing. You would think they would change the layout every year. I guess not. Wasn't scary at all. There were 3 people in my group and we were all disappointed. We won't be going back ever. We got through the whole thing in about 15 minutes and I think I was only scared like one time. read more

Of the two we went to last night this one was definitely the better one. They kept you in the group you came with which was a nice change, unfortunately making for a long wait but well worth it. The actors werent just grunting irritated noises at you, they actually played along and around with the people going thru. The improv was great. All the characters really seemed to be in their element even for it being so early in the season and that makes me super excited to see how they do in a couple weeks to see what differences there might be. It seemed like the characters were having fun because we were having fun and thats really what a haunt is about in my opinion. Id say well above the average haunted house. From previous years, id have to say this is the best local haunt but im looking forward to going thru more and then coming back to compare. Absolutely loved it though. This was my first experience at a haunted house. As we waited in line, we were give two rule, one of which was not to touch the actors. We were not even 2 minutes into the place when security was following our group. He then claimed someone in our group had touched the security and was then pulled out of the line and was advised to leave the premises. The security guard made a false statement as no one in our party ever touched this security. This was a totally bad experience. read more

This is by far one of the best haunted houses I have been to. I usually go to 2 or 3 every year and this one is a staple. Although the wait in line is significant they make it entertain. The guy in the pig face costume dangling from the rafter was pretty legit. I came here last year and remembered being scared but I def think they upped the scare factor this year. All of the scares were perfectly timed and it helped that the actor would blow in my ear or tickle my ears as they walked behind me. I think the highlight is the chainsaw. You see the door and think that its over, then BAM your running for your life only to be approached by another person with a chainsaw coming right towards you. This was the third year that Ive been to this haunted house and both of the previous years were MUCH scarrier. The first year I went in 2009 this was the scarriest haunted house I had ever been to, the best part was when a man with a chain saw came running down a dimly lit hallway, It was visually awesome and seemed to be straight out of a horror movie. However this year they did not have that part. Most of the haunted house was just walking through the dark with no one there to even try to scare you. The sets were average and there wasnt much frightening or suspenseful about any of it. The building does have a creepy history and as I said it has been much better in the past, for some reason they just seemed to slack this year. Also for some reason, although all indoor waiting is advertised on the website, they made everyone wait outside and go in very small groups just to purchase tickets before even getting into the real line inside. Overall it was ok, not the best, and perhaps I am judging it more harshly because I know theyve done a MUCH better job in the past. read more
