In the surfeit of craft breweries throughout NYC, Evil Twin is easily one of my favorites. Founded in Denmark as a gypsy brewery, this location in Ridgewood was its first brick & mortar location. It is one of the more well-known craft beer makers in the world, and the beers definitely live up to the hype. I personally love their stouts and their sours. The location, overall vibes, staff, and patrons of this place really fits the Queens vibe - such a diverse and varied crowd here the times I've been. Insider tip - if you have some munchies after some drinks, check out El Novillo 2 around the corner for some of the best tacos in NYC.

Evil Twin Brewing in Ridgewood, NY. Stop number 1 on an epic Queens, NY tour. Service was fast and there is plenty of outdoor and indoor seating! Insta: @thehungrysw @eviltwinbrewingnyc has the best names for their brews. My favorite beers were: That Feeling When the Ice Cream Truck Jingle Plays Outside Your Window for Two Hours Straight You're Not a Real New Yorker Brewery Until The Neighborhood Cat Decides to Move In @claudiasbklyn food truck onsite is a bonus!

Lovely Ambiance! The building is super beautiful, food truck right outside and they bring the food to you inside! Really excited to come here this summer as they als have a cute little courtyard out front. They have games that you can play for free and they play movies on their projector. Staff were super friendly and service was great. pay with blackbird (the app) for a good deal too!!

I'm not the biggest fan of beer but I LOVE that the beers here taste like juice!! Dangerous honestly but had such a good time here I'll definitely be returning. Service was amazing - loved the ladies in the front who gave us a sample before we ordered and helped us decide what to get. I tried the milkshake and Miami's finest - both of which were so good!! One tastes like my morning smoothie and the other more like coffee. We loved it so much we brought some home. Great place to catch up with friends, bring a date, and I think they also have board games.

Stopped by while we were in the area. So many different options to choose from. LOVED the sours section! We honestly liked all the beer we tried. Plenty of games for everyone to play. Also loved the kitty at the front.

Evil twin has got to be my favorite brewery of all time due to their sours and stouts, which are all winners to me. I'd been to the tap room in DUMBO a few times, but over the weekend, I finally made it to the brewery itself for the first time! The beer selection, as always, was incredible. I particularly enjoyed ET #1. The service was also really nice - I had befriended one of the people working at Evil Twin. They recommended a beer that I wouldn't have necessarily ordered but still appreciated. While Evil Twin itself doesn't offer food, outside was a taco truck, and it looked like they had a secondary food truck that's likely open at busier times. There was a decent amount of seating inside along with a large outdoor area with plenty of picnic tables. I'm sure I'll be back - and I'm looking forward to it!

A fabulous place to hangout with amazing drinks. I love it when breweries have options for people with gluten sensitivity! This place has it all - beers, wines, cocktails, frozen cocktails and foood!!! We tried the Lil red corvette and the Mama tried frozen cocktails and both were absolutely amazing. We also got a bunch of beers and everything was amazing!! I cannot tell enough nice things about this place. They had 2 food options - a small pizza counter inside with 2 types of pizzas and 2 types of calzones. They also have a vegan option. There was a food truck right outside which serves Gluten free options. Overall I'd def come back!!

Evil Twin Brewing NYC is a craft brewery that opened in Queens, New York in 2019. It was founded by Danish brewer Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø. Evil Twin Brewing was initially founded as a global beer brand and gypsy brewery operation in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2010. A former schoolteacher, Jeppe became an avid craft beer aficionado in 1997 and by 2005 he had opened his bottle shop Ølbutikken. His reputation (and that of his work) soon grew and by 2010 he decided to open his own brewery. Jeppe chose the name "Evil Twin" as a reference to himself being the "evil twin" brother of Mikkeller Brewery founder Mikkel Borg Bjergsø. By 2012, Jeppe and his family had relocated to Brooklyn, New York and Evil Twin set up their headquarters there. Although there wasn't a physical brewery, Jeppe would enlist the help of 10 established production breweries (such as Two Roads Brewing (Stratford, CT), Westbrook Brewing (Mt Pleasant, SC) and Twelve Percent Beer Project (North Haven, CT) to brew and distribute his beer on a larger scale. For a number of years, Jeppe was also the co-owner of the popular Brooklyn craft beer bar Tørst: one of the first bars to carry Evil Twin. The popularity of the gypsy brewery soon took off on a global scale. Jeppe eventually decided to open a physical brewing space in the Ridgewood section of Queens. The brewery opened in January 2019 and the adjoining taproom (designed to resemble a greenhouse) opened the following October. Although the global gypsy brewery operation still continues, the Ridgewood operation exclusively produces small one-off batches like any other small local brewery. A secondary taproom opened in Brooklyn's DUMBO neighborhood in June 2021. I recently visited Evil Twin's Ridgewood Taproom while I was cycling around NYC. I was trying out a number of Brooklyn and Queens breweries and pizzerias and Evil Twin was my third stop of the day. They are easily one of my Top 10 favorite breweries and have been since I had a draught pour of "Even More Jesus" (Imperial Stout) at a craft beer bar in 2013. I also worked as a barback at Two Roads Brewing from 2014-15, and Jeppe would frequently stop by to brew beer on their brew system. I was very excited when I first heard that Evil Twin would be getting their own space. The Ridgewood taproom is very subtle; you can easily pass by it on the street and not even know it was there. I absolutely loved the greenhouse design of the building. The atmosphere was very chill; not a large crowd at all. Not only do I love Evil Twin's beers but also their humorous names. I ordered a flight of four samples including "Our Second Most Popular IPA" (West Coast IPA) "When It Rains, It Pours" (Triple New England IPA), "That Moment You Think It's A Parking Spot And Then Boom... Motorcycle" (Triple New England IPA), and "Don Marleone" (Quadruple New England IPA). Not surprising to me, every beer was fantastic! For hungry customers, Brooklyn-based Claudia's has their Guatemalan food truck permanently parked in the beer garden. I had a blast at Evil Twin Brewing NYC and I look forward to returning!

Changed it up! Started with a really nice ET quad. Noted they had an ET Makers Mark Private Barrel Select. Okay - 109 proof golden elixir - I'll bite! Really delicious smooth sweet and opening up beautifully on the glass! Beer and bourbon with my beautiful girls - FTW

The panoply of different IPAs, lagers, seltzers, pilsners, stouts, and ales on their menu would overwhelm anyone who feels a paradox of choice with too many options. For the rest of us beer drinkers, Evil Twin is a theme park for the senses and we can't wait for the next wild ride. As I skimmed their menu on a recent visit I placed a finger on each drink on their menu that stood out to me and quickly ran out of fingers. For those who like their beer to taste like dessert, they have a beer that tastes like cinnabuns and bananas, another that tastes like a sour pepper cherry vanilla float. They combine flavors you'd never expect to work together like passion fruit and marshmallow, or strawberry shortcake and coffee and they make it work. Their outdoor set up is quite expansive and can seat quite a large crowd, though when my group of friends visited they were in an "orange zone" area, which meant they had to enforce a cap of three people per picnic bench. This cap has likely been lifted, as now reduced capacity indoor dining is now allowed, but Evil Twin was such a haven for me since I was looking for a place to drink outdoors with a heated set up. Their small overhead heaters was no match for the 25 degree weather, but we were able to drink there for a solid two hours before we couldn't feel our toes anymore. They have a food truck on the premises so you can pair your delicious beer with delicious eats. Claudia's, a Guatemalan food truck was parked there during my visit, and their plantains, yucca fries, and bean tacos really hit the spot. Their staff is absolutely fantastic, zipping around from table to table making sure everyone could get in their drink orders and offered up fantastic suggestions for someone like me who couldn't decide from their extensive beer selection. You could return over and over again and never try the same drink twice, which is even better than any theme park I've ever been to.

Really awesome local brewery with a gorgeous space and super inventive beers. If you're looking for one of a kind beers with all sorts of whacky flavors, this is your spot. They rotate seasonal beers often and have a wide variety all across brew types and profiles. They have some rather boozy stouts, my personal favorites! They also have a number of delicious seltzers and soda pop varieties that are a must try. Easy to spend all day here in the brightly lit and quite comfortable seating area drinking with all of these beers on tap! The staff were knowledgeable, helpful, and pretty much every beer on tap could be taken to go! Definitely a spot to drink locally and impress your visiting friends with so many different beers

First time back in the beer garden since we left here 3/15/20 pre pandemic.. at the time, one of our last excursions out for a very long time. Just the best place to enjoy a vast and creative selection of Sours, Lagers and Stouts. Don't miss the ET Stay home series.. #5 today, out of this world. Topo Chico for the non beer drinkers. Claudia's of Bushwick is the food truck today.

Evil Twin brewing is unrivaled in my opinion when it comes to serving some of the juiciest and flavorful beers. This location is very different from the other one I visited in DUMBO. While DUMBO offers coffee shop minimalist vibes, this spot is a little more brewery-like in that it's got an indoor/outdoor setup with food trucks. There's a great cast of beers - more than 15 to choose from of all different styles. I highly recommend their milkshake IPAs, sours, and double IPAs. They are all fantastic! The bartenders are pretty friendly, and informed me that anyone can come up with the ridiculously awesome names for their beers. You can even submit artwork for their cans! I like coming here to sit outside and have a flight to be able to try all of their wonderful beers. The seating isn't the best inside - it seems like it would be crowded if you were to sit inside while having a drink. I'm also not the biggest fan of having to wait in line to order - I'd rather have a way to order from my table with my phone, or just walk up and order the old fashioned way. Evil Twin despite not having the greatest location here is a fantastic brewery still. I highly recommend checking out their DUMBO location!
