With its launch announced in late 2019 and meeting with understandable challenges (what with the pandemic and all), I was delighted this weekend to see that, at long last, Nemo's Beer Shop is open for business! Granted, Forest Hills NYC does offer a variety of pubs and drinking establishments, but one ENTIRELY and seriously devoted to the fine craft of beer was long-desired and sorely needed. The space is on the small side but comfortable, focusing on the practical: a few tables, a bar (with 8 local beers on tap available in 5oz tasting portions as well as 8/12/16oz draft), and several refrigerators along the wall sporting an impressive array of approx 60 locally-brewed beers, along with a small variety of local snacks (pretzels and jerky), with just enough tables and counter-space to accommodate a outing with friends or one simply wishing to grab a solitary drink in passing. While this may be my sole and subjective bias, but what was personally appreciated was the absence of a television and an overly noisy and obnoxious "sports bar" atmosphere -- as if the owner deliberately intended on cultivating an establishment (true to its name) singularly devoted to the appreciation of beer itself and the comradery to be found among those who appreciate such. Welcome to the neighborhood Nemo's -- Five stars and well-merited! I can easily envision myself a regular patron.

Sometimes less is more. Where you don't have a dozen TVs competing for your attention, rowdy groups, and trying to be everything to everyone. Enter Nemo's and you've entered a beer oasis. Independently owned and operated, focused on a good variety of beers, with a sizable canned beer cooler for even more choices. Super friendly owner pouring drafts, small but comfortable space, and customers that appreciate the vibe. We started conversations with two other tables off the cuff. It's that kind of place. Definitely my new favorite watering hole in Forest Hills. Please support local businesses, it's a gem!

If You're looking For a great place to drink great beer with great people this is where you should go. If you're some self-absorbed entitled piece of shitt ...stay away. No cornballs.

I live in Forest Hills and I've been to this place a few times in the last few months with some friends and let me tell you their beer doesn't taste any better then a cheap beer or ale from the 99 cent store. I really don't like to write bad reviews to businesses especially with the pandemic and how bars/ restaurants are struggling to make ends meet today, but I really have had it with this so called owner that was beyond rude to me after I stopped by and used the restroom. I have come as a customer a few times and really needed to make an emergency restroom stop. Since I had patronized his establishment before, I didn't think it would be a big deal to quickly use the restroom. When I got out of the restroom the owner was very rude and nasty to me, telling me to never come back to his bar. I asked him why and he said because I wasn't spending money and that my type shouldn't be allowed to come to his place. I was appalled at his behavior and attitude and told him I will gladly not ever return.

Love this place! We were so happy to see it open after a long wait during the pandemic. They have a great rotating tap list of local beers and a great refrigerator section with cans... a nice mix of unusual stuff and the good local stuff like KCBC and Finback. Nice laidback place to grab a beer in the neighborhood. Cheers to Nemo's!

    The draft list!

Cool local place, similar to Astoria Bier and cheese. Nice selection of local beer on tap and cans. Will definitely be back.

Beer good Good good…read morePeople good And the allow dogs. What more can you ask for? Really though, there's a wide selection of beer both local, to micro brewers, to foreign. The food is Korean centric pub food. From fries, to burgers, nachos, pasta, bossam, etc. And the people are all so nice. We always come with our dog and they always bring water for him, and we go enough so they recognize us when we come in. Of course though we stay in the outdoor dining area, which is covered during the colder months. But even then, they turn in heating for us when we are out there while every other patron are dining inside.

I like going here mainly because of how late it stays open. I also like how spacious it is inside…read moreand apparently there's board games? But I cannot confirm that. The food itself is pretty good. I liked the pasta and the pork belly dish. The fried were ok. I also tried the nachos and really liked the cheese for it's subtle taste however I was not a fan of the rest of it. For the price the portions are pretty small and not filling. Warning it can be pretty loud as I had to yell to talk to my friends. My main con and suggestion for improvement is the tables and chairs. The chairs are really small so it might not be comfortable for most. Also, our table was very wobbly so we moved to another one and that one ended up being wobbly too. I'm hoping they can change them as it will help the comfort of the guests. On a good note, I liked the service! The waitress was nice but I believe there was a busser who was attentive and respectful towards us!

There's so many levels to this location. When its cold outside I recommend the seating in the corner, its a little room off to the side. They have outlets here as well as games to play. Unfortunately for last night's visit they just had scrabble which I totally crushed my friend in, when he reads this he is gonna laugh. The 5 or so times I been to this location there has always been totally good service. I believe one of my drinks last night was given for free, the bill didn't make sense. I did notice my server clicked on the 20% tab, I didn't mind I would have clicked that anyway. Sometimes I am too nice to people because most would have said something. :: bathroom alert:: Very clean bathroom. Use the first one on the bottom floor. The ada compliant bathrooms are very big, I appreciate that. The bathrooms upstairs have unisex hand washing. I just appreciate There's elevators so that elderly, mobility issues and people in wheel chairs can enjoy the view. In the winter upstairs does have a tent around it. The area can seem sus at night time. Take a cab home or walk with a friend is my tip. The food is pretty good. The nachos were just ok, I could have used more seasoning. The pretzel was really good as well. They used to have tacos on their menu I don't know what happened. Their fries are pretty good too. I'm not sure if they still do the pizza, they did when they first opened.

I'm trying to figure out why there is more hate on this place than there should be, and I'm coming…read moreup blank here. Cobblestones is an absolute treasure in the Kew Gardens/Forest Hills area and should be treated as such. I came here years ago back when Solid State Band used to play here regularly, so it had been a minute since my last visit (nearly 15 years). A friend of mine was on jury duty at the courthouse and I agreed to meet her here for Happy Hour before the Knicks game. What an amazing job they have done to put together a beer garden that perfectly blends the feel of an urban landscape and the charm of Bavaria. The picnic style tables might be small and closely packed together, but from the moment I walked in, I felt transported to another part of the world. Excellent specials during happy hour which runs 3-7 Monday to Friday - all drafts $7 for a half liter (that's 16.9 ounces for the non-metric folk) and their selections are perfectly acceptable for a beer garden. I recommend the Reissdorf Kolsch, the Radeberger Pilsner, and the Schofferhoffer (a grapefruit low-alcohol beer perfect for summer). They also offer several wines for $7 during HH, and half priced wings (they are very clear that it is for dine-in only so you cannot take your leftovers). Cobblestones also has 1-liter beer options as I saw a few people walking around with giant glass boots filled with beer, and lots of people were ordering food. We simply opted for waffle fries and they were hot, seasoned, and came in a decent sized portion. The staff here were the true highlight of the experience. Although our server did not tell us her name at any point, she was attentive, suggestive in salesmanship, always around, friendly, and fast. Lots of worker-bee types here ensuring the guests are well cared for - diverse and smiling, just the way Queens should be. By 6PM there was a line out the door to get a table for the Knicks/Spurs finals game, so this seems to be a popular place to watch events with friends - I recommend getting your table two hours in advance of whatever you plan to watch here! There are plenty of large screens outside in the beer garden (half of the tables are covered with an awning). Many guests brought their board games and playing cards, and I saw a giant wheel at the end of the bar, which means I will be coming back to experience whatever Spin-The-Wheel chaos they provide at Cobblestones. I'm already planning a return visit with friends, you should do the same. Their food menu looks good, the staff is amazing, the vibes are top notch. Well done, Cobblestones!

Small and tasteless, it sounded better on the menu. It came with a fried egg and bacon but didn't have any sauce. It tasted dry, worse than any fast food burger. I ate it because I was hungry but I wouldn't have it again. Not worth the $27 cost.
