I will even say that it's better than Disneyland because you don't have to wait in line and you get just about the same ride time as a whole day at the park. I've watched Avatar and now Spiderman in 4DX and it's just so much fun. The seats move, there's air effects, smoke effects, and strobe lights throughout the theatre. It's really next level movie viewing experience. Parking is validated with a stamp at the theatre for 4 hours or if you forget, you can show them your ticket stub at the exit. Only thing is that I wish they had the customizable soda machines that they have at other movie theatres.

And he forgot part of the order:( Later, after confirming they do provide a refill on the large popcorn, and thinking my parents would appreciate snack leftovers, I again stood in a long line, and asked for the refill. Well, unlike their competitor, they don't tear off the top corner. They take your whole bag. So if you haven't eaten all your popcorn, too bad. If you didn't have your normal "crowd" with you this time to eat everything in one sitting, and if you didn't bring your own plastic bag, forget it. You just paid a lot for that one serving. So a tad loss of a "benefit" (which could be construed as rip off #1). I understand, it's a benefit, they have the right. It just gives off that yucky vibe. After the movie, my friend wanted to buy the Moana Glitter Cups which include the drinks. However, you need to put the drinks in the cups - which 1) are out in the public, unsanitary, touched and opened by interested children and customers, and yes, they were already sticky (ewww!); and 2) they sure aren't washing it for you, but 3) Yay, you do get the straw in a sealed wrapper at the cashier. Clean straws don't help if the cups are not . So she bought two beverages/cups without the paid benefit of two beverages. Which can be construed as loss of a "benefit", or rip off #2. The cashier said this new policy recently went into effect a few months ago. So sad to hear this, it's extremely unsanitary - and not a great welcoming look, vibe, or customer experience. Last time I came here, they were sanitary enough about the fancy buckets we paid extra for...? Again, those were all out in the open and touched by many as well. I'm thinking Regal at Dole, please do better. I was so disappointed today. Spent a lot and was told no to everything. Not one "yes" for a positive customer service experience. (Hope no one gets sick from this, because the cups are pretty, customers are interested, and seriously, one of her lids had also been unscrewed.) The movie was good, though.

Place is AWESOME!!! I totally forgot about this location for events too! Shoots!…read more They can hold over 300 people sitting side by side for a screening, move or even music or dancing. But they can also rearrange a sitting arrangement so there is open areas for people to stand and mingle. Then they have the lounge area. That's our favorite! The couches are enormous and the set up is immaculate! They had floor walkers and escorts who helped everyone find seats or direct them where to go. That's as a good thing. Usually m, people have to figure out what to do or where to go at these events, no?! Lol. But this was a once in a lifetime experience for us and it was AWESOME! Of course my son didn't want to watch himself on screen, but, we all loved it! He did well. In fact, they ALL DID! Every single film was done excellent! I wish we could've stayed for the whole thing, but unfortunately we had to leave early because the kids had school the next day. So we left around 9pm. Maybe next time we'll have a better chance in watching our son on screen again. Soon! For sure... Ok that's about it! OH! And the restroom! Oh my... it's an experience to have. Lol! It's amazing! One door for ALL to enter. Then as you pass the main door, your in the lobby of the restroom. Like they have in fancy theaters or auditoriums or hotels. Yup! Only difference is, there's no seats or chairs to lounge on. There's a long marble counter top with about 5 individual sinks. Each side accessible for anyone to wash up. Mirrors along the wall. And then the MENS DOOR for their restroom is on the left and the WOMENS on the right. Ever the bathroom stalls were cozy. Toilet seats were nice and comfy, not those public restroom toilets. But the hotel kine. Just without the extra fancy buttons. It's definitely somewhere anyone should go and see. Especially when they host an event there. OK NOW IM DONE! Thanks for reading! Have a good one! A hui hou MALAMA PONO and

This Courtyard is like a chameleon!…read more It becomes an outdoor ice Skating Rink in the Hawaiian "winter"; changes into a open-air movie theater on the second Thursday of the month when the weather is warmer; and converts to a concert venue on the third Wednesday of the month during the spring, summer, and autumn. At other times, people enjoy this space as a Yoga studio/art gallery. Ward Village makes really good use of this area. Chairs are set up for the movies and concerts. A gigantic tent is erected when the weather is suggesting rain. Otherwise, the audience enjoys gentle trade winds, silhouettes of palm trees, and views of fluffy clouds, gorgeous sunsets, and sometimes... the silvery moon. There's a water feature on the far side of the courtyard, so if the sound bothers you, sit nearer to the entrance and away from the wall. Most events are free - just look for the community events online and print out your tickets! If the event you're interested in is a Brunch, the fee will be posted an you'll get a chance to try specialties of local restaurants, using a ticket system. There's ample free parking nearby and a beautiful, clean restroom on the ground floor of the "IBM Building". The co-ed sinks are a great idea for efficient use of this facility! Check it out!!!

"Crazy Rich Asians"…read more I saw this fantastic movie four times prior to this! I went with different friends in Kaneohe, Honolulu, and in California! Each time was enjoyable and thought provoking! So...when my friend, Amy M., suggested that we see this movie AGAIN, I said "yes" right away! I had been to this venue several times before this. I knew the drill... go early and park for free across the street at South Shore Market in Ward Village, then stand in line outside the gate to the IBM Courtyard. The gate is supposed to open at 6pm. That's why we aimed to be there at 5pm because the seating is first come, first served, except for the HIFF (Hawaii International Film Festival) members. They get a special line and enter first. The walk-in people get in last. There are monitors who decide when to start the next row of people when the line gets too long. The monitors also check tickets and distribute wristbands. This Valentine's Day evening was rainy, so a tent was in place. There was also a table filled with bags of complimentary popcorn for each guest! The comfy sofas in the front were reserved for people who won VIP Seats via an Instagram contest! We were early enough to sit on the slightly padded wooden folding chairs in the first row on the right side. The middle section's front row had reserved seating for the HIFF Members. The movie started around 7pm when it was dark enough. Overall, this is a unique venue because of the cool Hawaiian trade winds. In the summer, when it's not raining, there's no tent - which allows a beautiful view of the sunset colors in the sky! The fancy restroom is convenient. Food trucks and restaurants are nearby so you can bring your food in and enjoy a totally wonderful experience!

Some people even brought umbrellas (worth it during the rainy months). Bring your own snacks and beverages! Check-in starts at 6pm. The actual showing begins at 7pm. Seats start filling EARLY, at least for Free Solo (maybe it was particularly popular?). If you have a big group, get there around 6pm.

The theatre was not crowded and we walked right into the theatre to purchase our tickets at the food service station. Only one employee was present at the time of our entry. Nice and helpful personality. Odd, we weren't asked to select our seats. But he reminded me of my free popcorn I had available. Thank you. Our movie was showing in Theatre no. 9. We sat down and noticed how old the chairs looked. The first seat did not recline. It appeared broken. We moved one seat over, as no other customers were in the row. Please see the pictures to observe the condition of the chairs. During the movie, I kept seeing bugs (later informed that it was moths) flying nearby our seats. I tried swatting at the moths during the movie. A definite unexpected distraction while watching a movie! I can't recommend this theatre until the moth problem is eliminated. The manager acknowledged the problem and was kind enough to provide us with ReAdmittance tickets for another movie. Service is 4/5 stars. However, the condition of the theatre is unfortunate and needs attention by management.
